"Many years ago, the ancient line of Kings who ruled the land of Aleris were both immortal and ageless. There was no definite reason as to why the royal blood of Aleris developed this characteristic of eternal youth. However, it was not without great sacrifice that the Kings obtained their immortality..."

There was very little that went on within any of the realms where her family had a strong hold that she was not aware of. An extensive network of spies and informants made sure of that so when a portal opened to a whole new dimension word was quickly carried back to the Sultan. All knew of her proclivity for spreading her own brand of chaos and mayhem, as well as the unusual new drug of choice she had developed, to the other dimensions out there and knew she would want to know about the potential of a new world to wreak havoc within. Life within the Eternal Empire, Eternelle Lune specifically, had grown somewhat dull for the eternal wolf. Who was there to defy her within her own dimension? No one, unless they were fucking stupid or suicidal.

Not surprising it was Parker, the first mate of her ship the Sea Wolf, who brought the news of this new world to the Sultan. There were few who were granted an audience with the Sultan directly and most knew that Parker was the quickest way to get word to her, unless they had opportunity to speak to the Prince, the Empire’s Apex Hunter, but few people actually sought his notice. Best just to stay off his radar.

It was within the Catacombs that Parker found her, and not a man to mince words he quickly explained that a portal to an as yet unknown dimension had been opened near their holding in Mystra Amor. Someone with a blood signature that resonated with the de Sade wards had passed through. Curious as to whom it was since all the de Sades were accounted for, for the most part, it was quickly decided further investigation would be warranted and once Parker had departed she went off in search of the man who’s opinion meant the most to her. Valorius.

Since his office adjoined hers finding him wasn’t a difficult task. Entering his office without knocking she moved around to his side of the desk and boosted herself onto it so she was perched on the edge. She knew he had sensed her arrival before she ever made it through the door and he was already waiting expectantly for her to explain her sudden arrival before she was even settled on his desk. Leaning over to steal a kiss before she began her explanation she leaned back and quickly recounted what Parker had told her.

”I can’t just drop everything and run off to check out some dimension that might not be worth our attention. I figure I’ll send over someone to do a little recon and see if it’s worth our time. Question is..who to send? Maniacal is in England doing god knows what, the pervert. Sylvana is in New Orleans terrorizing the natives. Morlis has a little too much going on with his kids right now. Who’s left?”

Their eyes met and as so often happened with the two of them the thought occurred at the exact moment, their voices mingling into one tone as they said her name aloud.”Rain.”

Rubied lips curled into a smile as she nodded her agreement with their decision and raising her voice to those lovely dulcet tones that most were familiar with, in other words she screamed her ass off, she shouted for the member of the Protectorate whose job it was to hang around and wait for Valorius or Ameerah to need something. To say this person had not excelled at the fighting part of his job was an understatement. But, everyone needs a grunt; no job is to small, and all that happy horseshit. Once said grunt had appeared, and at a snappy pace too considering the Princess’ bellowing, she quickly issued an order for him to head to Mount Cithaeron to inform Rainbow Prism her presence was requested by the Prince and Princess.

Instead of hopping too as she had expected he stood there and fidgeted for a minute, as though afraid of what he had to tell her and she hadn’t even threatened him yet! Giving Valorius a look she rolled her eyes before glancing back at the nervous man. No wonder he hadn’t made it as a Hunter.

”Spit it out man! Let your balls drop and just tell me whatever it is you need to tell me!”

A shocked expression was her answer for about five seconds before he did as he was told and finally blurted out just what he had intended to tell her.”She is no longer residing at Mount Cithaeron, Princess. She was recently taken as a submissive by Lord Antonio.”

Now it was her turn to stare in shock as she digested the information the man had provided. Rain had been collared by Antonio? Not entirely sure how to take that information she stared blankly at Valorius. Perhaps this was what was best for the golem. Akuma had been unable to be the Master she needed and while Callidora had trained her in how to be a proper concubine, it was not in Rain’s nature to give herself to people who were not her dominant, so she was useless as a Sacred Harlot.

”Well fuck me. Alright then. Quick like bunny, hop on over to the Desiderio Villa and tell Lord Antonio I have need of his concubine’s services and would like to speak to them both as soon as possible.”When he stared at her mutely for a long moment her brows rose in silent question as to his hesitance and finally she barked”NOW!”

Not needing to be shouted at twice, the man jumped visibly at her sudden growled shout and turning he bolted from the room, or attempted too as he was paying little attention to where he was going and managed to run smack into the door jamb before making his way through successfully. Shaking her head with an exaggerated sigh she returned her gaze to Valorius with a look that clearly said “really?” How had he let the man live this long? He might have some rage issues he was coping with, but he was still a lot more lenient then she was.

”Now we wait for Antonio and Rain. Strange...I guess it’s just hard for me to see her with anyone but Akuma, she obsessed over him for so long. But good for her. Its time she moved on and was happy.”

Antonio was her cousin, and a good man, and given the family he came from would no doubt move into the roll of Master without a problem. As the Princess she could certainly order his concubine to do as she wished, but the rules governing concubines and submissives within the Empire were as old as the Empire itself and she wouldn’t abuse them.

Easing from the top of the desk she maneuvered her way into Valorius’ lap, arms snaking around his neck as she deliberately shifted repeatedly to get “settled”.

”So...any ideas on how to stay entertained while we wait?”

His father had been right--things moved much more quickly here. For over a decade, nothing seemed to change. He was schooled at the university, visited home, then went back; a never ending cycle. Now, he'd already learned something about his past that he never knew, about someone he respected a great deal. He was a master of what seemed to be "his" creation, at least partly, and it'd only been a few months. To be honest, he didn't feel overwhelmed in the least. It had been a great way to spend the time. Without this he probably would've been researching through some ancient book of blah blah blah. For all its "mysticism" and "supernatural" appeal, a large part of magic was nothing but researching and re-researching. Learn every detail of a spell, than why that spell is necessary, then read through 10 different books about all the different ways to perform the spell, finally learning all ways so that you can find the one that works best for--fucking hell, it was enough to drive you insane.

He handled it in strides though, letting all the mindless backtracking and practices fuel his ambition. There was no such thing as a peak for him, so he always strived to be better, not only with his magic, but everything. Like how to be a better man and take responsibility for his actions--whether or not they were intentional, or just a product of ignorance. Years back, he hadn't known what he was doing, all he knew is that it was a creationist spell that Lethanos said -he- couldn't perform. Of course he jumped at the chance to succeed where his mentor failed. Back then he didn't care so much about the outcome, only the sense of achievement that came with it. Because of not asking questions, and not thoroughly "researching", he created Rain. See, magic was a great thing, but like any thing that exists, it has rules. The most well known being; Though a skilled user of magic has the potential to create animated mass through their spells, they are not Gods. They are never to craft a completely self aware entity, and under no circumstances are they to give said entity a soul.

Rain was both. Self aware, and possessing a soul. The only reason she hadn't been located and destroyed by those who kept the laws alive, was simply because of dumb luck. They would've found her after tracking Lethanos. But, she was stolen from him, and pretty much fell from notice after that. She would be considered a secondary threat compared to the mage who created her, which is why they hadn't spent more time trying to locate where she was. That understanding lead to thoughts whether or not they would eventually come for him. He might not have been the one to locate all the pieces, however, he was the one who put them together. No matter. If they were going to come, there wasn't anything that could be done about it now. Besides, he'd made the girl a promise. To teach her everything he knew about Lethanos. If she was so hard pressed to kill him, than he wasn't going to stand in her way. Respected or not--no mage is God. None were above the consequences of trying to be one either. Whether it be in the form of battle mages sent to exact punishment, or a rainbow haired woman with a vendetta, there was always a price.

It'd only been a week or two since Rain "came into his life". Since then they'd settled in rather easily, much to his surprise. She already knew the majority of his family, and a few were fond of her, so the whole introduction part was pretty easy. He'd even adapted to the whole "Master" standard without much difficulty. Maybe it was because of the family he came from, or perhaps he knew that nobody could watch over her as well as the man who truly understood her. After all, it was his magic that brought her into being, and no one knew his craft better than him. Whatever the reason, it all came about in a matter of days, she falling into the submissive role as she'd always been meant to, and he taking his seemingly fated place as the one in control.

The quickest way for her to find the information she wanted was to read his journals. During the years spent at the university, he'd kept notes of everything. In order to never stop progressing, you had to continuously surpass what you had already done. With the way he threw himself into everything, it was sometimes hard to keep track of all the events of his life. The journals pretty much became his portable memory. For the last few days, Rain spent her time reading them. Over a hundred thin books, covering more than 10 years of history. Details, times and dates, people, it was like seeing his past day by day, event by event. From a first meeting, to personal thoughts at the time. Not only was there information about Lethanos, but also her very creation. He had to hand it to her; she was like a machine. One book set down, just to be picked up by another. In a way, it reminded him of himself. Maybe there was more passed between them than just his own energy. It wasn't out of the question for similar traits and characteristics to pass down certain quirks. It helped the creator to identify, and better command the creation. In fact, they were pretty much mirror images of each other at the moment. Her pacing back and forth with a journal in hand, and him at his desk, looking through various magical texts regarding the creation of sentient life. The books weren't supposed to exist of course, but, he wasn't going to be denied knowledge by anyone..

He didn't want to create another, he just wanted to better understand her. She wasn't human, but she wasn't truly a creation, possessing a soul decided that. There honestly wasn't a way to research her species, she was the only one of her kind. No matter how proud he was to have done something no one else had, he never forgot how incredibly strange it must be. To only have one purpose, unable to question specific authority, he wouldn't be able to handle it. The only time either of them spoke while they read, was when one had a question for the other. Him asking what certain feelings inspired in her, or what she physically experienced during certain situations, and her seeming to be more curious about minor events between himself and Lethanos than she was the major events. This went on for a long while, which is why it was so unexpected to have a knock at the door.

Their eyes met, and Rain's quickly turned toward the door as a male voice spoke from the other side.

"Harris, of the Empire protectorate. The Prince and Princess are requesting a meeting with mister Antonio and miss Rain. I'm supposed to escort you there."

Empire protectorate? No wonder the man was let in. Standing from his desk he walked to the door, opening it a bit, just enough to stand in the gap. The man looked shaken, but forcibly maintaining a stoic demeanor for the sake of his position. Typical empire character--unshakable. Good God he couldn't imagine living like that.

"Yeah, all right. We'll be ready in a few minutes. You can go wait downstairs or something. If you pass by a room with screaming, just keep walking, don't even pay any attention."

Closing the door and turning back toward Rain, he heard the man head down the hallway, mumbling something to himself. No doubt questioning his choice of employment. Since he was wearing only a pair of old jeans to lounge around in, they'd have to get ready.

"Looks like we've got to go slumming it for a little while, so let's get ready."

Sarcastic? Of course he was. He'd been to the empire before, and it was definitely the kind of place he would look into getting, you know--once he left his parents house. Kisa would be back from the visit to her mother in a few hours, so hopefully they would be back before she arrived. Just in case, he'd have on of the servants give her a message. How well Kisa took to Rain's being there was still up in the air, but that was just something the 3 of them were going to have to adapt to. If a normal situation was what they wanted, none of them would be here. It would all work out in the end, he knew it would. Failure wasn't something he really allowed to happen in his life.

Walking to the closet he opened it up and began to rifle through things. For himself it was easy, pants, shirt, shoes, and coat. For her, he did a single glance over his shoulder, wondering what would get the most "reaction". Opening the new dresser on the side, all that Rain would hear would be a hushed;

"...but what 'kind' of dress."

Events in her life occurred as they usually did. Swiftly and with little forethought. What had begun as a mission to destroy her creator had ended with her life being bound to Antonio, the one who had provided the magic to see her creation a success. If only he had known what he was helping to make. If only he had insisted upon seeing the creation, if he had known what he had given the magic, the power, to create, would her life have been different? Would he have insisted that Lethanos give her to him? Would he have been able to prevent what had happened to her at Lethanos’ hands? All these questions and more had swirled through the little creations thoughts since the night the magic had bound her irrevocably to Antonio. There was no malice or blame in her thoughts, such emotions would not usually occur to her. It simply was what it was. He had trusted his instructor and she could not fault him for that.

The first evening they encountered one another, you know, when she broke into his bedroom with the intent to kill him, he had asked her to recount her past to him in as much detail as she could remember. Once the bond was complete and the magic had bound them together until he either released her or one of them perished, she could not have denied his request, even if it would have occurred to her to do so. For the better part of the evening she did as he asked and recounted all she knew of her past from the few memories, none of them pleasant, that she possessed of Lethanos and his cruelty, to being taken by Moon and further molded into the perfect little assassin, to meeting Akuma, to trying to kill Ameerah, to being tortured by Callidora, to nearly being killed by Sadira only to be saved by the unlikely ally of Callidora to how she ended up as she was; unbound and no longer at Akuma’s side. There was little to no emotion to her voice as she spoke, just the details since that was all that mattered any longer.

It was at the end of her recitation that he had announced he would do all he could to help her find Lethanos and provide her with what tools he could to help her kill him. He had seemed unconcerned about her desire to kill his former mentor and in fact seemed all for it after she had recounted the painful indignities suffered at Lethanos’ hands. Once she had finished her sordid little tale he had stood, drawn her to her feet, and led her to the desk where he held all of the journals kept during his time at the university. Rainbow kaleidoscope eyes had lit up at the sight of all the documentation and she had fallen on the journals and the information they contained. Over the next week or two they fell into an easy routine. She knew his family and they accepted that Antonio had taken a submissive without question. Her only concern would be when Kisa returned. She knew quite well how most women reacted at the prospect of sharing a man, but considering they had already once shared Akuma, she wasn’t preparing for the worst but one can never be too sure when it comes to the emotions of females. Even she had once flown off the handle over a man.

Her days were spent pouring over the journals, every sentence was analyzed, ever detail committed to memory, even if it did not pertain to her creation or Lethanos. She found herself curious about the man who was now her Master and began to enjoy reading about his life at the university. She was getting to know him through his own recounted memories and she was slowly beginning to genuinely like the man as well as the Master. Thus far in her existence she had never had both. She had despised Lethanos but had been a very dominant Master. She had cared for Moon as a Father figure and had been loyal to him, but he had had little to do with her and she had no qualms straying from his side when he had vanished. She had loved Akuma, but he had not had the right mentality to be someone’s dominant and had done more towards trying to get her to think independently, which had only messed her up further, then being a good dominant. She held no ill will towards her lost love, however. She could not expect him to be something he wasn’t and he had cared for her, she knew that. While it was too soon to love Antonio she found herself liking him more and more and with that came the possibility of contentment she had never known before.

She had taken to the task of studying his journals with the single minded focus she afforded all of her “marks”. Every detail that might help her in finding and ultimately killing Lethanos was committed to memory. Everything that could be a clue was investigated, her gentle voice coming from behind the book binding to ask for specifics on something Antonio jotted down but might not have realized was relevant. It had been Lethanos who had given her this single minded determination and she would now use it to kill him. Though just as Antonio had noticed, she saw in him the same focus and unrelenting desire to succeed and began to wonder how closely connected they were.

Once again she found herself pacing the confines of his bedchamber, her nose in a book as she prowled the now familiar path from the foot of his bed to the desk he sat behind. The oddly companionable silence went undisturbed for several hours with the exception of the random question from one to the other as they both sought to understand their place in this whole situation. She could feel his eyes on her occasionally and her own would rise to meet his wondering gaze with one of her own. Most often they would exchange a smile then move on to whatever they were doing without a word being spoken. She had just lowered the book in her hand and was about to ask another question when the knock was heard at the door, the man’s voice announcing that he was there on behalf of the Princess. Her eyes had instantly gone to the door, her body tensing, until the man identified himself. Even then her gaze shot back to Antonio and without thought she blurted out, “I didn’t try to kill anyone I wasn’t told to!”

Her unusual outburst subsided when Antonio moved to the door and opened it only just enough for his frame to fill the gap and upon hearing the man announce his name she relaxed, a soft shake of her head following. She knew Harris. He was a pussy. The door closed and Antonio turned back to her to relay the message. She accepted it with the same indifferent veneer she accepted most things. “She probably needs someone killed,” she commented as Antonio dressed and began rummaging through the drawers that held her clothing. She heard the comment of a dress and her brows rose. It seemed it was dress up time for the Diamond Doll.

Laughter. It was his first reaction to what she'd said about not killing anyone. He hadn't even considered that as a possibility, but with her clarifying that nobody had died, it just struck him as funny. So there he was, sliding along hanger after hanger of woman's clothing. skirts, pants, shirts, and of course, dresses. It didn't take an educated person to realize just how she must've been dressed for most of her life. No doubt she was usually wearing next to nothing, and what she 'did' have on must've only been there to emphasize her already voluptuous frame. The people she'd known or served in the past obviously had no clue what they were dealing with. Perfection didn't need decoration, and true beauty needed no help. That's what she was, not only in her looks, but in the sheer precision of her complete being. Her emotions, her mind, everything--it was all perfectly designed. Because of that, she didn't need any assistance from her clothes.

He didn't say anything outside of the occasional mumble as yet another hanger was slid over the rack. It might've only been a couple weeks, but that was still enough time for him to buy her a large selection of clothing. She may be his submissive, but that didn't make her a faceless, mindless puppet. She would dress and carry herself like a normal person, at least until he told her otherwise. It took a few minutes, but finally he pulled something from the rack, then turned to toss it on the bed. With the dress taken care of, it was onto other, more personal attire. For that he knelt down, pulling open two of the drawers and taking out a pair of black panties, as well as a set of dark purple stockings. Both were laid on the bed behind him, and the dresser was closed again so that he could stand, then turn to face her.

"All right. In order to get you dressed, we'll have to have you undressed. Take off everything you're wearing now, and we'll see how well the dress suits you."

As far as he was concerned, no clothing could improve her, the only possibility was that it would somehow make her appear less than what she was. That was just unacceptable, so before they stepped out the door, he'd make sure what she wore would be able to keep up with her--so to speak. It only took a few seconds, the girl always being so efficient, had her clothing piled at her feet almost before he had a chance to finish asking her to do so. Her creator or not, he was almost staggered by her. Of course there was that first, typical male response of desire and attraction. But, it went deeper than that. To see something so flawless, and knowing that he made it real, it was awe inspiring. No doubt that's the reaction she usually experienced, so he didn't let himself dwell too long.

*ahem* "Come over here, Miadona. Let's get you dressed."

Taking a seat at the foot of the bed, he watched her as she moved to stand in front of him. His eyes moving over her body, taking in every curve, every shift of momentum in her hips, every last detail. No wonder her task usually came about so easily. Even though he was taken aback by how wonderfully she'd evolved since her creation, there was still the incubus within him that saw her as only one thing. Prey. If not for his schooling, and learning how to control his impulses, their trip to the empire would've been delayed a long, long time. Maybe in the future he would take their "relationship" to a more intimate place, but for now, he was content with their arrangement. He took the purple lace shorts from the bed and lowered them to her feet. As she stepped in, he carefully eased them up her legs.

A thought suddenly occurred to him as he reached mid-calve. She was so composed, so aware of his dominion over her that it was doubtful she'd allow herself to 'feel' anything without his consent, be it emotional, or physical. Well--he wanted to test that with a little experiment of sorts. Raising the lace up her legs, he let his fingertips touch to the smooth skin on the backs of her thighs. While the silk moved up her body, so too did his touch, higher and higher until the curves of her ass felt the lingering drag of his claw-like nails. The touch being so close, so intimate, that when her backside slid from his fingertips, it gave a soft 'bounce' as he smoothed out the waistline.

Never did he let his eyes move from her face. If there was a reaction, even in the slightest way, he wanted to see it. Gauging what he saw, he moved on to the second stage; the stockings. The set was done in elegant floral design with stitching that made the fabric appear as if it were a series of roses with stems intertwined. Tapping his left hand on his left knee, he smiled up toward her;

"Right leg."

One might wonder why he didn't just take her into his bed. After all, she was his slave, his submissive. It wasn't in her to question any command he gave. Even if he took a blade and held it to her throat, he seriously doubted she'd try to save her own life. Because of that, he knew she'd give him her body without question, and that wouldn't slake his curiosity at all. He needed something that he knew she would try to resist, something she would try to keep herself from enjoying until he told her she could. How "human" had she become? Was she still an unshakable construct, incapable of 'true' spontaneous feeling? Or, had she grown beyond those limitations and evolved, at least in some small way, a mortals inability to resist certain sensations and feelings? This little test would satisfy that curiosity, as well as let him toy with her a bit in the process--research certainly had its perks.

The first stocking was slid up her leg with an almost exaggerated sensuality. His head dipped so that he could lightly brush his cheek against the inside of her knee, while his fingers rolled the lace up her skin. When it finally reached its full height, (midway up her thigh) he softly kissed the skin just above it. After that he leaned back, letting his fingers slide from her thigh then tap his right knee;

"Good. Now, the left."

Again, the same agonizing slowness, the same unnecessary contact and caressing. Only this time when he kissed her flesh, he gave her no time to pierce through the momentary sensation before asking her a question. She would have no time to think over what answer would 'please' him most, she could only reply with the truth--whether it was what he desired or not, and that's what he wanted.

"You want to be touched, don't you, Miadona?"

A simple enough question, but to him, it meant worlds more than what it actually asked. If she said yes, that would mean 'she' desired the touch, and not merely accepted the touch of her possessor. If she showed that she had individual wants and desires, than that would prove that she had most certainly grown beyond Lethanos' original intentions. It would show that she wasn't just a mindless golem created to serve, but a completely new species. Having a soul was one thing, but embracing the individuality it brought was something else entirely. When she gave her answer, his hands lowered her foot softly back to the floor. The reason he hadn't taken a bra out for her is because the dress was strapless, so a bra wouldn't work. That left only the dress.

It was a solid black gown with leather ties at the sides of the torso, giving the top a corset like appearance. Between the breasts there was a diamond shaped gap which gave an erotic, but still tasteful show of cleavage. Her chest was large for a woman of her stature--then again it was large for a woman bigger than herself. Because of that, it made more sense to ease the gown over her head rather than have her step into it. Easy enough. Standing, he slowly lowered the gown over her, letting her ease her arms up through the top as he pulled it down. His hands left the waistline of the dress and moved to her chest, delicately easing her bust into the most comfortable placement. The skirt was form fitting enough to offer the perfectly rounded shape of her hips, and ample rear, but not so much so that it made her look like a whore. Even the splits in the sides of the skirt ended just above her knees, so as to be alluring, but not reveal too much. Those before him might have had her wear next to nothing, but he wasn't going to cheapen her by parading her around like some kind of concubine.

With her fully dressed, it took him far less time to throw on his own clothes. The final addition to both of their outfits was the shoes. For him it was the typical set of rugged, thick soled boots. For her, a pair of 2 inch heeled sandles with straps that he tied up her calves. When all was said and done, he slid a cigarette from his pack and set it between his lips. Lighting it with a soft mutter, and a touch of his fingertip, he walked to the door and opened it ahead of them. Setting his hand on her shoulder, he smiled to her as he allowed her to leave ahead of him. But as she passed, he would lean in to whisper;

"You're beautiful."

As she passed, he gave a playful swat to her rear, then followed her in tow. When they reached the bottom of the stairs, Harris' eyes widened and it took a minute for him to break his stare from the girl before heading for the door.

"This way. I have transport waiting for you outside. We should be there in no time."

Mild interest reflected in the prismatic array of colors that made up her gaze as she watched him search through the closet and drawers for exactly what to dress her in. It didn’t occur to her to offer up any suggestions as far as what he should choose, it was his right to decide how to dress her and she would wear whatever he chose. The clothing chosen, he turned to her and told her to strip. Without thought or hesitation she set the journal she had been reading on the bedside table and began to pull off the clothing she was wearing. It didn’t take long to get out of pants and a sweater but in seconds she was standing nude in front of him, her discarded clothing piled neatly next to her on the floor. When he remained silent for a moment she dared a glance up from beneath the veil of her lashes to witness the brief stunned expression and she wondered at it. Then he sat at the end of the bed and beckoned her over. Apparently he intended to dress her.

She could feel his eyes on her as she moved to stand in front of him. Of course it was to be expected, it was his right to look at her as he wished, but it was different this time. There was a heat to the touch of his gaze that had not quite been there until this moment and again she looked towards him. This time she saw a look she had come to recognize during her time with Akuma. He was an incubus, she was prey and she knew the look of the predator when she saw it but again, that was his right. It was his right to take her as he wished, but so far, he had not pressed her for physical intimacy and she had begun to wonder if he would even view her in such a manner. That thought alone left her wondering if she wished him to. Until then it had not occurred to her that she might want him to be attracted to her. In spite of the thoughts that now moved through her head her features revealed nothing as he reached for the lace panties and held them low enough for her to step into them. Though it wasn’t necessary, her balance was perfect, her hands rose to rest on his shoulders as though to steady herself as she stepped first one foot then the other into the panties so he could draw them up her legs.

She could not read minds so his intentions were completely unknown to her as his hands lingered over her skin, caressing up her thighs as his hands guided the lace up and over her backside, his claw like nails holding so intimately to her that her body swayed ever so slightly towards him until he released her and smoothed the panties into place. His eyes remained fixed on her and her own multi hued gaze locked with his, the faintest look of wonder barely discernable within the kaleidoscope depths. The panties in place his hands fell away from her and the slightest hint of regret crowded out any other emotion he might have seen in her otherwise cool, indifferent, gaze.

The stockings were next and when he tapped his left knee and demanded her right foot she complied without question, her foot rising from the floor until it perched on tip toe on his knee so that he could fit the foot of the stocking over her ankle and smooth it up her thigh. What could have been a perfunctory task of pulling up a stocking turned into a slow tease, his touch again burning across her skin as it preceded the stocking until it reached mid thigh and was smoothed into place. That should have ended it, but his head bowed over her thigh and she felt his lips press to her skin just above the stocking. Giving her no time to recover he sat back and demanded her left leg on his right knee and the process began again, his fingers teasing her until he finished it all off with his lips against her skin. This time though, she heard him speak before his head ever rose from its position bent over her thigh asking if she wished to be touched. Normally he would receive the answer she expected he wished to hear, but he was clever and gave her no time to process the rising sensations and emotions she usually kept very carefully locked away and the words blurted from her mouth before she could think about them, or hope to stop them.

”By you.” The whispered confession slipped from her lips unchecked and her eyes widened with a mixture of surprise at her outburst, confusion at being incapable of controlling the sensations he brought out in her, and very mild embarrassment. Her words alone were rather telling. She’d been shared before and wasn’t necessarily inclined to be so again. If he wished it she would do as her Master desired, but in the secret part of her that harbored the emotions she never let see the light of day, she desired only his touch. The simple fact that she had grown to desire him in the weeks they had been together was enough to send her into a tailspin. She was lucky though; he was kind and did not dwell on her outburst, instead rising to his feet to drape the dress over her head. Using the time granted to her to compose herself she raised her arms obediently and let him fit the dress into place, his hands on her bust as he eased her gently into the corset style top for maximum comfort was nearly her undoing but he did not try to tease this time.

Once she was dressed, minus the shoes of course, he turned to his own clothing and her eyes followed him around the room every step, lingering over him as he changed into his far more simple clothing. She was puzzled at his desire to dress her up as he had, but it was his right to dress her as he wished and she was quite content with his choice in clothing. Nudity meant very little to her, it would have occurred to her that nudity was inappropriate if not for the general mindset of the mass populace, but she had grown weary of the gaze she received from other men when dressed with little to nothing covering her more generous assets. They were both dressed, requiring only shoes to complete their outfits, and when he asked her to sit on the edge of the bed so he could lace the sandals up her calves she almost asked why he was dressing her instead of having her dress him as was appropriate, but rather then question his will she let her curiosity go unsated.

Finally dressed his hands clasping her own he drew her to her feet and escorted her out of the bedroom. The door open he stepped aside to allow her to move ahead of him but it was his whispered “You’re beautiful” that had surprise blooming in her gaze as well as the faintest of rosy blushes tinting the crest of her cheeks before fading again. The smack against her ass was simply icing on the whole teasing experience and she couldn’t help the small smile that appeared across her lips as she preceded him to the stairs, her words little more than a whisper as she replied, “Thank you Master. I am glad I please you.” She could see the expression on Harris’ face as she descended the staircase and decided he simply did not recognize her with so many clothes on. Indicating they should follow him she glanced to Antonio and waited for him to do so before committing to following the protectorate member to the transportation he had arranged. Why he had gone to so much trouble she wasn’t sure, the palace was a fifteen minute walk up the hill, but then again, she had never tried to walk it in heels. What could the Princess want with her? Was it another assignment? Did she need someone killed? Or was she in trouble again? Without realizing her hand rose and eased into Antonio’s, the only outward sign that she was nervous about seeing Ameerah. To look at her face you would never know it. In fact, you wouldn’t know she felt a damn thing.

Knowledge was most definitely power. He hadn't had to ask her a single question to get all the answers he needed. All it took was a few gentle touches in just the right spots to have her showing him what he wanted to know. As he'd hoped, she had evolved beyond some hollow servant into a complete person. No matter how buried or hidden behind a wall of indifference her feelings were, she couldn't hide from them. Every whispered sound that she made, every time her breath came a little faster, it was a tell. A lot of his wanting to better understand her had to do with his need to learn about her. After all, she was something completely new to the world of magic. A "true" life. As far as he knew, none but the God's were able to create new life. But that was no longer the case. As curious as he was, there was something else. A need to know if she would react to him simply because he was her creator, or, if it was because they shared a connection--something that went beyond master and slave. In a way, when she gave in to her feelings, be they physical or emotional, it made him feel closer to her, even if he couldn't understand why.

The transport to the empire was waiting for them just outside the villa. Harris was already taking a seat as they made it outside. When Rain's hand grabbed hold of his, he glanced toward her fingers and cracked a smile. She was using him for support, though she'd never say so. There was nothing said, just a tightening of his fingers as they locked with her own. As for needing transport, he knew better than to wonder why they couldn't just walk the distance. Seeing as how they were going to the empire it made sense. The palace was a lot like one of those mansions you read about in some gumshoe novel. A gigantic building where a criminal syndicate made their moves, complete with guards, observation, and a group willing to do anything to ensure their success. It was like something out of a film, but that just added to the amusement as they finally got inside their transport and headed for the palace.

It was a quick trip between the two locations. Once again the inter-dimensional rifts earned their place by taking what would've used quite a bit of his energy, and turning it into something as simple as stepping through a doorway. The differences between the two places were immediate, and they always hit him with a sudden culture clash. The villa was warm, inviting, and simple. Despite the beauty of it, it was still a very quiet place, with no locked doors or watchful eyes. But as soon as you passed through the rift, everything changed. It was silent as death with the exception of the wind and guard voices in the distance. They moved up a long path that was periodically flanked by numbers of black clad men and women. It was like a giant ant colony, every single person seeing to a specific task, ignoring everything else around. He couldn't understand it. Not even the university was this uniformed.

"Damn. I expected to see people playing frisbee, having picnics, maybe some actors doing a little Shakespeare. To think, you used to stay here. No wonder you're so calm--must be all fun'd out, hmm?"

Sending a smile her way he gave another squeeze to her hand, running his thumb down hers as they pulled up to the gates. Harris just waved his hand to the 2 men standing on the other side, and just as you'd expect the gates opened. God, he could almost 'feel' the guns being pointed toward them as they moved inside. Somehow he knew that no matter how friendly something came across, it wasn't going to be trusted here until it gave proof that it could be. He was just warm all over with the hospitality, and the fact that they couldn't move 10ft without someone in black following them with their eyes just made him laugh. It was doubtful here that you could take a piss without everyone knowing what color it was. Though, they were efficient, so in the end it all worked out. Winding down the long path through the courtyard, his hand tightened suddenly to Rain's and his head fell back softly against his seat.

"Ohhh yeah, there it is. Thought I was losing my edge. I can't believe it's stronger now. I tell you, that much power is a dangerous thing."

Studying magic might give you knowledge about how to create and identify it. But using it made your body sensitive to ethereal and celestial energies. The more you used, the more sensitive you became. His body was like one giant nerve surrounded by a massive cocoon of electricity. It didn't hurt, it was just--jarring to say the least. Once they made it through the courtyard, Harris brought them to the bottom of the front steps. Without turning back toward them he spoke;

"The Prince and Princess will be waiting for you inside. One of the servants will take you to them. "

Another black clad guard opened the door for them and stepped aside so they could make their way out. Antonio eased himself out while still holding Rain's hand so as to guide her to his side. Before Harris could leave though, he leaned toward the window and took a bill from his pocket. Handing the money to the man he nodded his head with a smirk.

"Door to door service--now that's what I'm talking about. Don't go too far, we might be drinking so we'll need a ride home."

Either the guy had no sense of humor, or it was against the job description to unclench his ass long enough to laugh. Either way he just glanced to Antonio before heading off. As he disappeared the remaining guard stood aside so that they could head up the stairs. Walking with Rain up the steps he eyed the outside of the palace, nodding his head as if approving of what he saw.

"This is definitely the kind of place I'm going to buy when I finally move out of my father's house. I might go with a softer theme though. I'm not so sure the whole--drug dealer, mob boss setting is right for me. I'm more of a rapper's crib kind of guy. You know? Jacuzzi with a bunch of strangers in it at like eight in the morning. I wonder if they take bids on the Playboy mansion."

Just as they reached the top, the doors opened. Finally they saw someone 'not' wearing black, which meant a servant. No point in saying anything, the girl already knew who they were and why they were there, so he just waited for the woman to lead them inside. As she walked ahead of them he leaned over toward Rain and whispered;

"So tell me, Miadora. When you 'did' stay here--what was it like being the sexiest little femme fatale in this place?"

Did he mean what he said? Of course he did. But somehow he knew--the next voice he was going to hear would be from a young woman who may have something to say about just who was the ultimate "femme fatale" here. One thing you could bet on in the empire; someone was 'always' listening.

It was an hour or two before the notice came that Antonio and Rain were passing through the gates which worked out quite well for the Imperial pair considering she was just fastening the cargo pants that had only just been retrieved from where they had been tossed onto the floor. Perching on the edge of the desk she pulled her equally discarded tank top over her head, hands tugging it into place before gathering her snow white strands streaked with midnight black from beneath the material and pulling it free to hang down her back. Crystal eyes lingered over Valorius’ body as it slowly went from deliciously nude to depressingly clothed. There was no point in trying to deny just what they had been doing. Even if they looked presentable Antonio would sense it the second he walked through the door and frankly, she wasn’t inclined to pretend otherwise regardless of who it was. She was a de Sade, she’d fuck as she pleased.

Footsteps along the hallway heralded their arrival and swinging around on the desk until she sat facing the door with her legs dangling over the side her gaze lit on the pair the moment the door opened. A smile was offered to Antonio. He was her cousin and she had spent quite a bit of time with him in her youth when they had both lived among the kumpania with their Aunt Cahira. He was a good man, she respected him and his skill, and was actually pleased to see that he was now Rain’s Master. The second that thought passed through her mind her eyes were falling to the much shorter girl, her brows rising ever so slightly at the sight her dressed as she was. She herself had never dictated Rain’s clothing but she certainly recalled the next to nothing sarongs Akuma and Callidora used to dress her in, leaving her ample breasts bare. As for her being the sexiest femme fatale in the Empire, she could attest that she came close to the description having shared a bed with Akuma and Rain before.

”Well well, you clean up really nice, Rain.”

Her attention shifted from Rain to Antonio and she motioned the pair in, her hand waving to the two chairs in front of Valorius’ desk. Realizing that Antonio had probably never met Valorius she was quick to introduce them, the Prince himself sitting somewhat smugly in his chair behind the desk though no doubt Antonio would realize that his self satisfied smile had little to do with the pair in front of them and more to do with the fact that he’d just bent her over his desk and made her scream Big Daddy.

Once they were seated she wasted no time explaining to them what she needed done. Aleris was a new world they knew next to nothing about and before she would commit to creating a permanent portal and establishing a deSade stronghold she needed more information on the state of the world itself. She didn’t have the time to do it herself and with the pack scattered to the winds dealing with their own issues, Rain had been the obvious choice. She was the best assassin the Sultan had in her employ and with her subconscious ability to create illusion was more capable of slipping in and out than anyone else.

”It’s a relatively simple assignment. All I need is information. No one has to die unless they try to harm or detain her and so far we haven’t received any indication that it’s a hostile dimension so there should be relatively little threat to her. I will of course offer Rain’s standard fee, should you allow her to take the assignment.”

She knew as citizens of the Eternal Empire she could command Rain to do her bidding, but it had been her family who had established the laws governing those taken as concubines or submissives and she would not break those laws unless it was an emergency, which this certainly was not. Rain belonged to Antonio now, so it was up to him to grant her permission to accept the Princess’ assignment. Rain had never demanded payment, but once she had been free of Akuma and working independently she had insisted on paying her. She herself could not take the girl as a submissive, Valorius was far too possessive for that, and the girl had to be able to support herself. Besides, she was far too talented at what she did not to give her something in recompense, though now it would go to Antonio unless he wished to allot the funds to her.

”There’s no time limit, no deadline. You can leave any time in the next few days and just report back when you return to Eternelle Lune. I will open the rift for you on this end and provide you with the amulet that will bring you home when you’re ready.”

She knew Rain would understand what amulet she meant. This was not the first time Rain had seen to a task for the Sultan in another dimension, or even in this one. Very quickly she ran down the little bit of info she had, knowing Rain would have no need of writing any of it down. She would remember every detail of her assignment without needing to be told more than once or needing to write anything down.

”Whattya say Rain? You game if your Master allows?”

Diamond clear eyes moved from between the two of them as she questioned Rain about her willingness, her eyes finally settling on Antonio. Whether or not Rain was willing it would be up to him to make the final decision.

The fact that she had taken his hand had not occurred to her until his fingers squeezed hers in return. The unspoken support and the smile he offered her had one of her own curling her lips. It was rare that she smiled, or showed any emotion for that matter, but it had been occurring a lot more frequently as of late. Probably more than it ever had before. Almost shy at the affection her eyes lowered to her lap as the conveyance began moving. She didn’t need to see the way to the Empire. She knew what it looked like. Only a few minutes passed before they were through the portal and approaching the Palace gates. There was nothing unusual to her about the process for entering the Palace grounds but she did notice the look of surprise on the Gate Guards faces as they glanced through the windows only to see her within.

Either she ignored them or was unaware of the stares; either way you wouldn’t be able to tell that she gave them any notice. She tried to keep her attention on the upcoming meeting but the gentle caress of Antonio’s fingers across her hand was a continuing distraction until all she could focus on was him. It was at that moment that his hand tightened on hers and his head fell back against the seat. Concern lit within her rainbow hued gaze as her eyes rose searchingly to his face. Confused as to what was happening she tightened her hand on his, her only thought to help with whatever was causing him discomfort, and a sudden arch of energy passed from her palm to his, the sensation almost electric as their aura’s merged briefly. The confusion in her gaze grew but there was no time to question him about the unusual occurrence, they had come to a stop in front of the doors to the Palace and Antonio was easing from the car, his hand drawing her out behind him.

She eyed the money as he took it from his pocket, a smile tugging at her lips in spite of herself as she watched him tip the unresponsive man. They had definitely become more militaristic in Maniacal’s absence. She had spent a little time with him when Ameerah was with Akuma and had found him rather laid back. The Prince was anything but. Waiting for him to join her she moved up the stairs at his side, his comment about the Palace causing her to take another look at the building. It had never occurred to her really. One place to live was as good as another. Before she could comment the door opened and a serving girl appeared. She knew her and recognition was obvious in the servant’s eyes as she looked at Rain, an expression of condescension on her face as she admitted them to the Palace. Many of the servants had treated the submissives poorly, but there was little they could do as touching another’s submissive was expressly forbidden. She never said anything though, few did. She might not show emotion often but having had an outburst that included trying to kill the Crown Princess had made most wary of challenging her. She ignored the woman, as she usually did, and moved silently at Antonio’s side as she led them through the double doors that would take them to the Catacombs.

One of Valorius’ Hunters met them at the entrance to the Catacombs, the servant sent on her way as access to the Catacombs was strictly regulated. Down the stairs they went into the bowels of the palace, a path she could have walked in her sleep. They were nearing the offices she knew Ameerah and Valorius occupied but before they reached the doors Antonio leaned closer and whispered a question that had a look of surprise crossing her features. Turning her head until their eyes met she seemed almost confused. ”Haven’t you met the others that live here? Once they get passed the unusual coloring most people pay me very little attention.” Much of that having to do with her ability to seem to vanish in plain sight. Her words were not upset or melancholy, they simply were. It was just the way of things.

Any further conversation was put on hold as the Hunter paused at the office door and they were escorted through. Her shrewd gaze took in her surroundings in a matter of seconds, Ameerah perched on the desk facing the door, Valorius behind it, the state of dishabille and the relaxed, sated, expressions on their faces. Their timing was good it seemed. Any earlier and they would have had apologies to make. The assessment made her eyes dropped, head bowing respectfully to the Imperial couple. Ameerah’s comment had her eyes raising enough to peer at the other woman from beneath inky lashes. ”Thank you, Princess.”. Her voice remaining quiet, indefinable, utterly unreadable.

Invitations to sit were made and once Antonio moved to take a seat she followed suit, sinking into the chair at his side though she at no time released his hand. She had actually forgotten she was even holding it and would have dropped it once they entered the office. She rather liked the feeling of his hand clasping hers though, and since he did not withdraw, she didn’t either. Ameerah, never being one to waste time, immediately launched into what she had summoned Rain for once the niceties had been seen to. A new dimension needed scouting. Easy enough and wouldn’t be the first time she had been asked to scout out a new world, or even a rival.

The explanation was given and after Ameerah posed the question to first Rain, then Antonio, she fell silent, obviously awaiting an answer. Rainbow hued eyes rose to glance first at Ameerah before sliding to Antonio. It was obvious she was waiting for Antonio to give her permission to answer Ameerah before speaking and once the gentle nod was given she inclined her head slightly in thanks to her Master and looked back to Ameerah.

”With Lord Antonio’s permission I will accept, Princess.”

The palace was never the same. He'd been here more than a dozen times throughout his life, and every time he happened by, everything was different. In the beginning there was a much more 'expressive' feel. It wasn't something he couldn't explain. Like--if you just happened to walk into Caligula's palace, it'd probably be the same type of overall feeling. After that it slowly became much more relaxed. Everything and everyone seemed to calm down a bit as if some cosmic dial was slowly being turned down. Through it all there'd always been an underlining sense of order. Stability to the unstable as it were. But now, it seemed like the dial had been thrown, hard, into the opposite direction. Everything was so intense, so precise, he wouldn't be surprised if they'd all been replaced by machines. Which is why as Rain and he were led into the Prince's office, he actually seemed 'relieved' by the fact Ameerah and Valorius had been screwing before hand.

"Ameerah, always a pleasure. Glad to see something's haven't changed. I was starting to wonder if you'd been putting something in the water."

As Rain and himself sat, he kept hold of her hand. She didn't seem to want to let go, and he wasn't in any rush to either. It was comforting to feel the warmth of her skin, and the softness of her grip. The output of ethereal energy coming from the two people in front of him was staggering, especially to someone as sensitive to it as him. The 'awareness' of the energy field was apparent in how he seemed to shift about in his seat, and it was only made more clear when his free hand dipped into his pocket to fish out a cigarette. Putting it between his lips, he turned his attention to Valorius.

"It's good to meet you, Valorius. I've heard a lot about you--most of it was even complimentary."

Smirking as he lit the cigarette with the tip of his finger and a softly spoken incantation, he expected the typical stoic, unresponsive, dead stare that usually came with the 'guardian' personality. But, when he saw a grin on the kid's face, he already felt better about him. He hadn't met the father, but from what he'd been told about him--the guy didn't seem the type to try joshing around with. Naturally he expected that to have trickled down into the son, but apparently not. Even though it was obvious the humor was understood, there was still something about the Prince that he couldn't place. Ameerah was easy to figure out. Blunt, direct, balls to the wall and full of fire. She had been ever since he'd known her. The young man behind the desk though, it was like he was cosmically teetering between a very positive, and a very negative energy. It wasn't something of concern, just--unsettling. Still, anyone who can smile at a lame pun like that, he couldn't be that bad.

The brief few minutes of back and forth passed as quickly as he'd thought they would. As always, it was straight to business. Ameerah ran down the whole line of why she'd asked them here, and he didn't say a word. His only influence during the whole deal was the occasional cloud of smoke blown from the corner of his mouth, and ashes being flicked into the marijuana roach filled ashtray on the desk. After it was all said and done, the ball was in his court. The empire might be the end all-be all here, but even they stuck to their own rules. Rain was his submissive, so it was his call as to whether or not she would do Ameerah's dirty little deed. By the way the Princess and Rain looked to him, something in their eyes said that they'd been in this situation before. No doubt the other men in his little creation's life had their own way of handling moments like this. Maybe they said no because of some primitive need to protect their woman. Then again, maybe they said yes, having some soft spot for efficient, estrogen laden killing machines like herself. So, what would be -his- response?

"Even if there is risk, I'm sure it won't be anything she can't handle. I've got all the faith in the world in her abilities. After all--"

Cutting his eyes toward the rainbow haired beauty at his side, he smiled. His fingers tightened around her hand for a second before he turned back toward the princess.

"--she's perfect. So, as long as she's compensated for what she does, and as long as I'm kept directly in the loop, I've got no problem with her getting what you need. Just make sure that whatever she makes is given directly to her, by -you-. I don't want some sticky fingered jackass dipping his hand in the honey pot."

The instant his words finished, Valorius leaned forward. For the first time, he actually felt the kid's full notice on him. He'd always heard the phrase 'staring daggers', but up until now, he'd just thought it was a figure of speech. The prince leaned forward, and the field of energy that'd been staggering before, for a split second, it was enough to knock the thoughts right out of his head.

"I know nothing about you, Antonio. Ameerah thinks a lot of you though, and I trust her, so I'm sure you're a good man One who's a good judge of character. But, whatever you thought you knew about those in the employ of the empire, put it out of your mind. Things are different now. Misconduct is no longer tolerated. We all support one another--but no one is above the family. Rain is family, as you are. We'll see to it that you get everything you've earned."

He was never one to be overly serious. Sure, when the situation called for it he would put aside the whole mocking, snide response for maturities sake. At that moment though--with the level of certainty that was being directed at him from across the desk, questioning anything seemed completely out of the question. Besides, he wasn't an idiot. He knew his craft well, but the two people sitting in front of him were on another level. No snide comment was worth a lightning bolt in the ass.

--yeah, so he'd annoyed Duvessa a time or two.

"All right. If that's the case, than we're ready to go a'spying."

Yes, he said -we're-. Even though Rain may be going alone, he was connected to her. Wherever she went, a part of him was there too. If anything happened to her, he'd be the first to know about it. He trusted the empire completely, and Ameerah especially. Valorius didn't seem the type to dabble in deception. But, Rain was still his. The children of God's or not, if something went wrong, and there was more of a problem in this 'Aleris' than was let on, he'd take a few 'bolts' to make sure it was understood that no-one gambled with 'his' property.

It had never really crossed her mind that Rain might refuse. Though she would never admit it, and you might never know it from her outward demeanor, but she could swear deep down the assassin had grown to enjoy her work. And why not? She was one of the best, if not the best, at what she did. With that in mind it was no surprise that she agreed to the assignment. When her attention turned to Antonio she noticed the look in his eyes, as though he knew the two women had been through this before. Akuma had hated allowing Rain to go on assignment for her and had only done so grudgingly. He had cared for Rain, she knew that, but he had refused to acknowledge what she was and just what she was capable of. She had run into the same problem with the half incubus herself. Women who were too capable unnerved him, made him feel unneeded. As they waited for Antonio’s response her brows rose slightly, curious as to whether or not Antonio possessed such insecurities.

When Antonio began to speak his words had a smile appearing on her lips, a smile that grew with each word he uttered. Perfect huh? The fact that they were still holding hands wasn’t lost on her either. She didn’t know the details of Rain’s creation or that Antonio had had a hand in it, but the energy that crackled between them was palpable in the enclosed space, at least to her. Just as Antonio was sensitive to the energy emitted from herself and Valorius, so was she sensitive to the ethereal bond that seemed to be connecting the two of them. She could almost see it arching between them, binding them. Curiouser and curiouser. When there was more time she would love to sit down with Antonio and find out just what was going on, but for now she was pleased to see Rain in good hands.

She was on the verge of commenting on his words about ensuring that Rain was properly compensated. She had never stiffed anyone in her employ and Antonio damn well knew it. Before the caustic words could slip from her lips she could feel Valorius lean forward behind her and from the expression on Antonio’s face she knew he was hitting the other man with his patented death glare and she could barely contain the amused grin that threatened to break free. She knew that look on Nio’s face, had seen it in response to her mother or their Aunt Cahira getting on his ass about something or other and she could practically see the thoughts floating through his head.

”Lightening’s a bitch, ain’t it?”

It was a skill she was only just learning and could barely control. Lucky for her lightening wouldn’t kill Valorius...but he did get downright annoyed sometimes. Oops.

”Don’t worry. Rain has an account with my personal banker. In other words she’ll get her payment directly from Parker if I am not available and anyone with half a brain knows better then to fuck with the money he carries since they know its most likely mine.”

The decision was made. Antonio had granted his permission for Rain to accept the Sultan’s assignment and reaching behind her she accepted the small gold amulet Valorius dropped into her palm. Without missing a bit it was tossed towards the rainbow haired assassin knowing she would need no forewarning to catch the tossed item.

”When you are ready to go that will take you straight to Aleris and straight back. You know how to use it; it’s the same as all the others. I magicked it myself to go only between Aleris and here with just a thought from you. Leave whenever you are ready and let me know when you return and we’ll met again for a full report. While checking the place out keep your eyes open for a good location for a holding for the Empire. Well, two actually, since no doubt Morlis will want one for the Desiderio if he chooses not to stay in the de Sade holding.”

They did not always reside in the same manor, palace, holding, whatever, but where there were de Sades, there were Desiderios. The families were linked by blood, cousins, and always would be. Looking between the two she let the telling little smile that had been struggling to keep hidden break free.

”Have fun you two."
