So, you've decided to become a land owner in Aleris? Congratulations on taking such a huge step! Being a homeowner is a huge responsibility, and not one to be taken lightly. There are many things to take into consideration before and after buying land. Here at Aleris Realty, we take the purchase of land very seriously. So, keeping that in mind, we have a few regulations to help make this process easier for everyone.

First, you have to be at least a level ten (10) in order to purchase land. This is to prove a certain expectation that we expect of our clients. We expect you to be a valued member of the Aleris community. One who realizes the importance of the land on which we live.

Second, Aleris is a valuable place. So each plot of land will cost 1000 gold coins. No, we will not accept payments in gems, silver, sparkly rocks, I.O.U.s or printed currency from any other land.

Third, we understand that some people may have more money than they know what to with. That's fine and we respect that. Nevertheless, we must limit each citizen (player behind the character) to ten (10) plots of land. This IS enforced even if you are the leader of a clan/family. If you wish to use your land for that purpose feel free to do so, however, you will not be given special consideration.

Forth, you may only purchase two (2) plots of land every two weeks. That's a MAXIMUM of two (2) not a minimum. Again, this is to ensure that everyone who wants a piece of land is able to get a piece.

Fifth, if you end up with Buyer's Remorse, which happens from time to time, you are more than welcome to sell it back to us, for 900 gold coins. It will cost you a ten percent (10%) fee for the time and energy we spent on your property. Of course if this was due to our error, then the fee will be waived.

Sixth, you may sell your land to another citizen, however the level limit is still in effect. Both parties must report their desire to this agency with the exact location and agreed upon price (storyline is a must). The price for the land may be higher (not to exceed 3000 coins) or lower (not to drop below 500 coins) then the original 1000 gold coin price.

Seventh, because there is only so much land available, if a citizen is away for more than three (3) months, their land maybe seized and no money refunded to that character. If for any reason you feel you may be gone from Aleris for longer than this, please notify the GMs.

Follow these seven simple regulations and you'll be on your way to owning your own piece of heaven!

Aleris' land is divided up into 25 squares labeled with a letter of the alphabet. Each square has its own grid and citizens of Aleris will need to use this grid to designate which piece of land they wish to purchase. So you've gone over our rules and spotted some land you want to buy. That's great! Please follow these additional steps to finish the process.

1. Players must post on this forum thread which land they want to purchase. You must be registered for the forum.
2. Report your purchase in the following format: Square _, _ across, _down.
   
   For example:
   • I would like to purchase land on Square O, R across, 20 down.
3. If your transaction is successful, 1,000 of your gold will be taken and land will be added to your character sheet. The GMs will confirm these actions on the forum thread.
