She smirked then as she looked at Kyrian once more. Babysit indeed! She'd take the boy to Siren's Corner first chance she got! HA!

Eiler

Eiler is one of two continents that have seasonal changes and also plays host to five major cities and two other points of interest. Eastern Aleris' land seems to be in state of constant rebirth where new trees and plants are seen growing just as the old are reaching their end. The continent is a vast land with many grassy fields, several forests and rolling, lush green hills. A calm and refreshing wind forever blows inward from the shore, scattering the spores of all flora as far as the eye can see. The eastern coast is renowned for its beauty, and those who travel there seem to possess a reinforced sense of calm and complacency. Many who have come to Aleris have chosen the east as their home.

Around the city of Jade is the only rainforest on the continent, nestled between the two rivers. Eiler also hosts three large mountain ranges: the Hyperborean Mountains in the north, the Zora Mountains in the east, and the Zuiden Mountains to the south.

There are nine rivers flowing through the continent. The Hyperborean River cuts through the mountain with the same name. The Adriatic River is south of Jade and branches off into the Tamratic River. To the north of Jade is the Maria River and the Tyrrhenian River flows into the bay of Jakob towards the south. The River of Joi branches off to form the Melinda River and the Euphoria River runs down from Rapture Lake. Finally, the Milan River goes through the southernmost part of the island.

Grand City

To most this is the Capital of Aleris. The city's close proximity to Hinewai Harbor makes it very popular to merchants and visitors. Home to what has affectionately been named the Cornucopia Market, Grand City is arguably the most prosperous city in Aleris. Many have come to it in hopes of making their fortune, but many have also left penniless and in debt. It takes a very smart person to be able to turn a profit, but if the merchant is willing to take a risk, and work hard for it, Grand City is the place for them.

Hinewai Harbor

Hinewai Harbor is the largest port in Aleris. This has caused the good fortune that Grand City enjoys today. The harbor is broken into two markets. To the west is the Fisher's Market. Despite its name, it isn't dedicated to just the fishermen of the land, but to all merchants. This is where merchandise comes into the city to be bought, sold and/or traded. To the east is a smaller market that still matches the income of Fisher's Market, known as Traveler's Market. Here you'll find ships for hire taking people to all the other continents, or if you're seeking an adventure, here is where you'll find a ship and crew for hire to help.

However, even if one were to combine these two port markets, Cornucopia Market within Grand City is still the largest market in Aleris.

Soul's Ferry Cemetery

Praise be to our glorious dead! Soul's Ferry exists as the largest and most commonly used cemetery in Aleris. Why a cemetery is considered a point of interest is because this one holds a memorial for the souls of the Immortal Kings. King Alerion had it built to honor their memory and remind anyone who may have forgotten why Aleris is as peaceful as it is today. King or serf, wealthy or poor, many who must be laid to rest are placed within the sacred soil of Soul's Ferry. All arrangements are made with the master grounds keeper, "Ditch". And as with any cemetery, there are ghost stories that surround almost every grave.

Jade City

Home of the proud artisans of Aleris. Everything that the Grand City is for merchants, Jade is for crafters. For centuries Jade's lavishly carved walkways and buildings have inspired many. One visiting author wrote, "If ever I die, and walk the streets of Paradise, I know now that it will pale in comparison to the beauty and wonder that is Jade." Just north of Jade, at the base of the Hyperborean Mountains, the Jade mines have supplied the crafters of Eiler with various metals for years. The rainforest around the city gives life to many different trees for the assorted woods used.

Joi

While Grand City is home to merchants and Jade City home to artisans, the Jois are for the artists. Joi attracts the most beautiful of Aleris. Models, artists, sculptors, painters and musicians come from all over Aleris to study and learn from the Masters of Joi. Joi was originally one city dedicated to the arts; however, with its popularity growing they had to add on, and eventually broke up into three separate towns. Joi Proper is for the artists.

North Joi

Writers, poets, songwriters... all these are drawn to North Joi. It is said that the soothing sounds of the River of Joi and the majestic beauty of North Joi's beaches, have the power to clear the mind of all but what your heart truly wants to say.

South Joi

Rapture Lake seemed the perfect place to build Aleris' Noble Theatre. There have even been plays performed on the lake itself. South Joi has been known for its histrionics for generations. Every year on the anniversary of his triumph over his uncles, they hold a play in honor of King Alerion. It is every playwright's, actor's and director's dream to be part of a play in South Joi.

Vagabond City

"There is a city that moves, as if with feet under its very buildings, it moves when it's drained the resources of the land." That's the wives' tale that goes around about Vagabond City at any rate. If one were to actually visit it they'd find that it is little more than very sturdy tents drawn together to create a simple town. The citizens of Vagabond City pick up and move when the season dictates it for their crops. It's essential to the city's survival that it moves. They live off the land, but also with the land. The areas they've been known to habitat for any period of time have shown improved growth and prosperity in the months after they leave. They're travelers, but no finer farmers will be found on any other continent.

Temple of Spring

The Temple of the Goddess of the Spring is located on the South East Coast of Aleris on its own island. Nestled within a thick forest not far from where the forest ends and the coast line begins, Aurora's temple seems to spring from the Earth itself. An earthen edifice, it rose from the ground to form a large cavernous mound surrounded by an unusual standing rock formation that protects it from all sides. The only opening in the protective rock structure would be the two large standing stones that acted as the entrance into the Temple. As you near the temple, the intricate swirling designs engraved in the standing stones would become visible, the two acting as gateway carved with protective sigils.

Just beyond the sentinel stones were a small alcove with a large heavy wooden door that would admit you into the main body of the temple. The temple was circular in nature and something of a large cavern. Inside the temple, the walls crawled with vines and flowers and all manner of living flora. The floor is not really a floor at all, but rather a thick cushion of living moss that covered the entire ground. In its center stood a tall oak tree, its roots running deep into the ground while its branches sprouted up to the roof where it became part of the ceiling and covered the expanse of the temple. This tree acts as the only altar Aurora would need and it was from this tree that the Goddess often appeared to her faithful.

Directly across from the main entrance sat another door. Identical to the first, beyond this door was a short corridor with four doors opening off of the hallway, two on each side. These acted as quarters for the four chosen attendants of the Goddess should they choose to live within her temple. The projection that housed these quarters is not visible to the eye from outside the temple.
