"What if they don't come outside?" one of the werewolves asked.

"Then we go in and drag them out. We can always get our meals to go."

Aurora, the Goddess of Spring

Description

The Earth Mother is the embodiment of hope, birth, life, and rebirth. She is personified in the season of Spring when the earth awakens from its winter slumber and begins the ancient dance of renewal. All manner of flora and fauna are under her watchful care. She is the Goddess to whom women pray when carrying the seed of life. And she is the light of Hope that shines in the darkest days. Even in the dead of Winter, the Earth carries with it the spark of life and the hope of a brighter future.

Though gentle and kind, one must never forget that the Earth is both giving and destructive. It is the field of wheat that can nourish the body as well as the volcano that erupts to destroy a village. The Goddess Aurora embodies all of these things, but it is to the promise of Hope and Rebirth that she has dedicated herself and these are the primary gifts she has chosen to impart to the denizens of Aleris.

As any Mother would she cares for her children, but is not above correcting them when the need calls for it; her actions are born from love and the desire to guide them towards a life of hope. Though never does she infringe upon the free will of those who seek her guidance, for all must forge their own way in life as any child would. That doesn't mean the Mother does not see their trials and tribulations, though, and she is always there should they need her. Just don't be surprised if what you truly need is not precisely what you want.

Appearance

To look upon a forest or a mountain or valley, is to look upon the face of the Goddess Aurora. However, there are times when she chooses to take corporeal form and appear to those who seek her guidance. The first thing most notice about the Goddess in physical form is the brilliance of her eyes which glow with the verdant green light of lush vegetation, skin the dusky gold of the desert sands, and hair the rich brown of the earth itself. Most often she appears in a flowing gown of deep green that fastens over her right shoulder with a gold clasp and flows down her robust frame to her feet. It isn't unusual to see her hair adorned with leaves, vines or even branches. her feet always remain bare and it is rare that there is anything between her soles and the Earth itself. She is also quite fond of taking the likeness of the nature around her, so be wary as you walk through the forest. That tree you lean against to take your respite may very well be Aurora herself.

Tempesturo, the God of Summer

Description

Tempesturo is in every sense of the concept, the grand collective of chaos within the mortal soul. His element is fire because fire itself is the element of man. He was the second God to appear, due to the growing number of mortals who called Aleris their home. The strength of all that energy managed to spawn him from nothingness heralding the beginning of any true deity, and yet of all the Gods, he is the most human like. If there is a vice, he has indulged in it. If there is a risk, he has taken it. Of the Gods, he is the most unpredictable - ready at one moment to save a man from drowning in a stream, or pull that life saving branch just out of reach the next. He can be noble of action, but he can also be quite rageful and cruel. Like with mortals themselves, he is many different emotions, only the emotions in him are so great that they collide within to create the chaos that defines him. However, he is capable of logical thought and reason from time to time, but such moments are few and far between due to his lack of focus.

Appearance

Tempesturo stands tall and strong. His body and face are what a person would imagine when trying to think of the true, ideal specimen of mankind. His skin is tanned like flesh that had bathed in the sun its entire life. The color of his hair is the darkest of brown and it hangs in unkempt waves down passed his shoulders. He has no standard way of dress due to the world's ever changing zeitgeist. What is most common for the time period is what he wears, only the clothing usually appears to have tears in it, old blood stains, or patch work due to even properly mended clothing possessing too much "stability" for his tastes. As for his eyes, they are a kaleidoscope of colors, with no pupils or iris' to speak of. Due to all the colors of the human eye being a part of his, they all blend together like the most elegant of stain-glass windows. His hands, much of his forearms, his feet, and the lower portions of his legs are forever engulfed in fire. The fire usually gives off no heat, but at times of wrath or intense feeling the heat they produce may very well one day end the world.

Galenous, the God of Autumn

Description

Galenous often acts the father figure. He always seems to listen with reason and takes care to hear what anyone is saying. His very presence has a calming effect on those around him and even his voice is soft and soothing like the wind he controls. When he speaks, people around him must listen carefully for he doesn't speak loudly. Galenous strives for order in all things. If you come to him looking for an answer, it may not be the one you want, but the one he feels will best suit his desire to retain a balance of order and tranquility.

Appearance

Galenous' choice of clothing is mostly plain; the God of Autumn does not feel the need to dress himself in lavish costumes. He wears mostly hues of browns and reds, complimentary with his season. When Galenous' presence is made known, he can often be found wearing some sort of animal skill mask. Most of the time his face his hidden behind this mask and it is only to his most trusted that he would reveal the calm facial features beneath it.

Elysia, the Goddess of Winter

Description

It is often said that Winter is the time of Death and as such, many fear this season's coming to Aleris. Though her Winters can be harsh and unyielding, Elysia takes pride in those who can find solace in a season of Death. Those who come seeking resurrections and the return of their loved ones from the land of the dead, are often not granted this. In Elysia's eyes, once a life has been passed into her hands, it is a new life that this soul most learn to cope with. Though she will often reject pleas to release those from death, she is still compassionate and understanding - she knows the deep sorrows that come with losing a loved one, but also the strengths. It is these strengths she would have the living find and often it is found due to tragedy.

The Goddess of Winter is easy to talk to, though most do not seek her council or an audience. The mere touch of the Elysia's hand could at the very least make a person see their very life flash before their eyes. However, if people seek her out for advice, her voice is often reasonable and strangely comforting.

Though Elysia and Aurora may contrast in alignments, the Goddess of Winter also feels that the souls that walk the Earth are also her children. While Aurora cares for those who are living and cradles them in light and warmth, it is Elysia who will return the souls of these same children to the spiritual world.

Appearance

Despite one of Elysia's alignments being Death, The Goddess of Winter has a very light appearance. Her skin is the palest white, as if it had been made from porcelain and certain patches of her flesh seem to be frosted over with crystals, giving an appearance of something like scales. This crystalline spots appear along her cheekbones, across the top of her hands and feet, on the inner thighs, and in a downwards arch across her stomach. They nearly blend in with her skin, but if she turns just the right way, a person can see something like shimmering glass on her body. Elysia's hair is also white, though it is adorned with a few streaks of light blue; most of it is cut short but is angled so the front is longer than the back, the longest point reaching to her collar bones. If one were to associate Elysia's appearance with Death, it would be in her eyes. The Goddess of Winter carries eyes that are so black, they look as if her iris' are made from onyxes. However, even within these black depths, there are small shades of dark blue and give those who look into her eyes a feeling of being trapped.

Because Elysia is the Goddess of Winter, she dresses in very light clothing, trying to keep herself as cool as possible. In places that are warmer than her liking, it is said she will make the air and Earth around her colder to accommodate her own comfort.
