Our Voices

"Many years ago, the ancient line of Kings who ruled the land of Aleris were both immortal and ageless. There was no definite reason as to why the royal blood of Aleris developed this characteristic of eternal youth. However, it was not without great sacrifice that the Kings obtained their immortality..."

Random Acts of Kindness Seen Throughout Aleris!

In a time when all the talk is about the strife between the native citizens of Aleris and the newcomers who came to us through the Outer Gates, when the hot topic is the potential for the Redmont war to spill over into the lives of the innocent bystanders of Aleris, someone is taking the time to promote something other then anger and fear.

I have only recently learned of a mysterious woman going about Aleris enacting random acts of kindness for apparently no reason other then to spread a little joy. The local orphanage was treated to a surprise, if belated, Christmas party hosted by none other then “Miss Santa”.

Miss Santa then proceeded to provide a fireworks display for the enjoyment of the Citizens of Aleris and there have even been excited rumors that our mysterious benefactress will also be hosting a Valentines Celebration in honor of the up coming Holiday brought to Aleris from immigrants from earth celebrating love and romance.

At this time I have no information on just who this woman is or why she is doing what she is doing, but the results have been obvious. She has managed to bring a measure of happiness and celebration to the otherwise beleaguered, and some say forgotten, denizens of this realm.

Which leads me to question…where exactly are the leaders of this realm? King Alerion has been absent for quite some time now but he is not the only official in our kingdom. Jezika Fehr, the High Priestess of all Aleris, has done little to deserve her office as of late.

The Christmas/Yule celebration promised never happened. Candlemas passed at the beginning of this month without even a whisper that she would be hosting an observance of the holiday. Though it is a secular holiday, and not a religious one, there has been no indication that she will host any kind of celebration in honor of this holiday either.

Perhaps it is time for Ms. Fehr to stop and consider if she is truly doing her job to the best of her ability.

Until next time….I’ll be watching.
