(OOC Note: The purpose of this starting point is to give new characters an easy place to begin their journey in Aleris. If you would like to post here, your character has most likely travelled to Chaliceton via boat as there are no airship docks here. However, do not feel limited; many options are open within this setting. If you post here, GMs will respond with an NPC nick to either make you feel welcome or cause some trouble! Other players may feel free to respond as well.)

The only known town on the continent of Arthuran. It is covered by a constant snowfall and for this reason all the houses within the village are made from large cobblestones to keep the people inside warm. People dress in thick coats made from the fur and skin of animals native to the area and as for transportation, Husky drawn sleds are used to get around the snow fields. Despite the climate, Chaliceton is one of the few places on Arthuran that does manage to get a good amount of sunlight, so its people are able to function and live here normally. Though their lives may be somewhat more difficult, the residents of Chaliceton are happy to reside in their snow filled village.

Luteil felt his fur unconsciously bristle as he left the docks in his cat form, the sleek figure found himself slightly irritated that he had to be roused from a nap prematurely as he padded along the snow coated slats of wood he had to traverse in order to get to the equally snow plastered 'main land' as some would call it, even paw prints making indents in the cold, pristine white surface of the snowfall laden terrain, other than that, the area seemed to be undisturbed except the few bustling villagers running errands in their coats of thick hides and pelts. Though, he does allow his agitation to eventually subside since, as usual it was empty and black, similar to the void plaguing his heart, a pity that he had arrived earlier than his fellow passengers, and even most of the crew had anticipated. The sleep, although unnecessary, would have helped him steer clear from the thought pathway that would inevitably lead him back to pondering his current state of unnatural discontent. He eventually finds himself sitting, unsure why he was letting his hindquarters grow cold as it makes contact with the icy expanse of land that appears to plague this continent, or this part of it specifically. His cold eyes were scanning the area, briefly inspecting anything that might be the slightest bit interesting, or even suspicious, in the event that it may help his condition in the slightest of ways.

Luteil would not be alone for long. As it was, there were people leaving the harbor that was about two hours away from Chaliceton. After all, one does not simply ignore the presence of a cat for long. It just so happened that Luteil was spotted by a young girl, who scooped him up and pressed him to her chest in a fierce hug, some of her blonde hair pushing free from her wool hat. She swung around in about two circles and shouted in a sign-song voice.

"Kitty! Kitty! Kitty!"

After she was done her circle, the little girl trudged through the snow and towards her mother and father. She held the cat up for them to inspect, the mother sneezing in response and the father looking mildly puzzled.

"Can I take it home? It needs fish and milk and yarn and mice and feathers and cheese! Oh and milk. I so would like a kitty, mother and father."

"Sure, whatever," the dad said waving a dismissive hand. The mother opened her mouth as if to say she was allergic to cats, but didn't get a word out before the father continued. "Let's go."

Before leaving, the young girl ran over to the dog sled they would take to Chaliceton. The huskies barked at the approach of the girl and her cat. One of them was fortunate to get Luteil practically shoved into its face.

"Okay, kitty. Give the doggy a kiss good luck on his journey!"

Luteil was lucky enough that he didn't get his face bitten off by one of the dogs before the little girl turned on her feet and situated herself on the sled, gripping Luteil in such a way that he couldn't possibly fathom wiggling away, at least not without difficulty.

"To Chaliceton, Sir Mittens McFluffy Tail the Fifth, Archbishop of Catsalot Kingdom!"

It seemed that Luteil had also been given a new name.

I'm just an NPC. Please don't kill me! Okay, well if you have to...
