Balance had been restored in Aleris at a heavy cost, but restored nonetheless. Aurora, Goddess of Spring, had worked nonstop tending to those who needed their Mother's loving touch.
Despite her very busy nature, Aurora was fully aware of the on-goings that were currently taking place with Madrin Kir and Wish Star. Madrin, whom had aided her sister Elysia and herself in dealing with the Val'nothe, had received Aurora's personal blessing. Though she loved all her children, a select few had a special place in her heart. Madrin was one of them. She had heard Madrin's cry for help during his troubled times, when fear and rage gripped at his very soul. Aurora had closed her eyes, her arms opened wide as if to embrace him even though he was thousands of miles away. In her mind's eye, she could see the mark she had placed upon him glow, reassuring him that all was well, that she would never, ever forsaken him.
"My love for you is eternal, Madrin. Your strength and courage above all else, your belief in yourself, that is what broke the chains, what offered freedom. I simply reminded you of your ability to do so."
The quest of Madrin and Wish Star was one of nothing but the purest intentions, that of a child. She had sat quietly in the garden outside of her temple, her brilliant emerald orbs hidden behind closed lids and a curtain of dark lashes. Earthen toned skin warmed in the sun as she shifted her robes around her, allowing the sun's rays to beat upon her bare legs. As usual, her feet were bare, her dark hair knotted on top of her head. So was her practice for mediation, and for Aurora, it was a chance for inner clarity and peace, and a rather sneaky way for a Mother to keep tabs on her children.
She felt her spirit travel toward Chaliceton. The child Nedira, who had an open fondness for her Madrin, had been healed by the fae called Wish. Aurora smiled as she watched in fascination. Wish, so selfless and pure of heart, after suffering tragedy of her own had left her homelands to travel with Madrin to heal a child. The task was complete, and thought it had taken a toll upon Wish, Nedira would wake whole once more.
Aurora's presence washed over Wish, whether it was known to her or not and with that came a knowledge to the Goddess that filled her with joy, her entire meditating form glowed with a brilliant green and white light. Sadly, nothing was free in life, and for what life Wish had given back to Nedira, one would be taken from the fae.
In the plane that existed between life and the beyond, Aurora watched with muted sadness as Wish began to experience the first pains of what would soon be her expelled pregnancy. Her hand upon her heart, Aurora wept pearly tears of sorrow as the fae hurried to leave the hospital, The Spring of the Four, her destination.
"Oh my child, my sweet and beautiful child," Aurora whispered as Wish allowed the healing waters of the Spring to wash herself clean, her heart breaking as her daughter wept out her frustrations and hurt.
The Mother listened to Wish's heartfelt prayer and decided now was the time to reveal herself to Wish, in spiritual presence if not in her physical form.
"Wish Star, my beloved daughter. You who have suffered so much, who have fought so bravely and still lost in more ways than one. Many a time should you have given up, and I know you wanted to, yet you managed to pull your strength and continue on despite the odds. Your womb shall heal child," Aurora's transparent hand passed over Wish's head in a gentle caressing manner. "As shall your broken heart." Aurora was aware of Wish's distraught over Victor Sage's sudden disappearance and could not blame the child for feeling the way she did. It was a cowardly gesture, to say the least, one that brought about Aurora's disapproval and great ire.
The Goddess knelt beside Wish as she clutched at the hard stone and placed a loving kiss upon her forehead. A small spot of green flickered where Aurora's lips had made contact with Wish's corporeal form. Aurora's Blessing had been bestowed upon Wish Star, her Blessing and her Mother's Love.
"Though not the first child you have lost, do not give up hope, Wish. I see many beautiful and healthy babies in your future. Children who have their mother's graceful touch and loving heart. One day, my love, but not today, and not with the man whom so carelessly tended to your heart." Aurora smiled then, knowing her time with Wish had come to an end.
"When you have doubt linger in your heart, when your faith in yourself begins to shake, know that I am here for you. Always."
Whether Wish was aware of Aurora's presence by her side that eve, it was of no importance. Aurora knew that the fae was strong in spirit and would find a way to move along.
