Several weeks later...

A full, silver colored circle hung in the night sky. This glowing moon gave the weres just enough light to see their destination. They had followed the hybrid's - Verial Akilara's - scent to the Villa and lurked safely behind the thick canopy of trees that surrounded his home. The four therianthropes, a small but powerful group, had been travelling fast, but their journey from Elved to Eiler took a few days. From trekking through snow covered lands and stopping very little, they were hungry with an almost insatiable appetite and were barely unable to hold back attacking whoever might be peacefully sleeping within the Villa.

From time to time, each werewolf would lift their nose into the air and inhale deeply in various directions. After letting a few minutes pass, all of them began to sense there were only a few people residing within the Villa - about three or four females, some younger and some older. This would provide them with the perfect meal before heading back to Elved. At this thought, the male quartet of beastly creatures turned to each other with razor-sharp fang adorned grins.

"I hope you're all hungry," one of them said with a voice that was both a whisper and a growl.

"Give the call... then wait until they come outside. It's so dark out, those fools won't even know what hit them... or bit them rather."

There was a snicker and then a few seconds later, four long and loud howls pierced the otherwise quiet night air. The hair raising sound was enough to wake anyone who might have been resting within the Villa. And it was obvious to those that heard the noise that the howls were not just from your average pack of wolves. It was something much more fearsome and bloodthirsty, waiting to shred its unaware victims to pieces.

"What if they don't come outside?" one of the werewolves asked.

"Then we go in and drag them out. We can always get our meals to go."

Continued from chat logs...

It seemed that some folks were just born with no brains. Such was the case with Elijah's werewolves that had been sent to attack the Villa. While they had done a substantial amount of damage to the once peaceful cottage, they had not been successful at breaking the barrier Aursra and Ita had made. In fact, when one of the wolves tried to broach this invisible wall, he promptly got a good, electrifying shock and almost lost his family jewels in the process. His brothers all seemed to get a hearty laugh at the situation, despite their increasing hunger and frustration and not being able to snatch up their meal.

Verial's cottage had become a target for flying objects. Whatever the weres could find in the woods, it was thrown towards the cottage. Large, heavy stones and logs crashed into and soared through windows. Glass and broken furniture was all over the place thanks to this. They had even gone so far to toss the remains off a rotting, dead deer into the cottage and this was further topped off with a huge boulder that crashed through the roof and destroyed Verial and Aursra's bed in the process. In an attempt to knock out Aursra who now stood outside the back of the house, the porch railing had been taken off by a log, narrowly missing the Poet.

Still, even with everything going on, all three females inside the Villa made an attempt to be brave and stand their ground. Aursra has tried to make Ita and Mycha flee via the basement, but it seemed Aursra's daughter would not have this and as such, Ita followed the little girl as she left to join her mother. Both of them made their way to Aursra who was outside on the porch, trying to stand her ground and think of what to do as boulders and remnants of trees were flung in her direction.

Although part of her might have been both horrified and worried to see the two young girls outside in the fray now, Ita and Mycha weren't entirely useless it seemed. Ita, who had just about enough of the battle, had resorted to tossing beams of magical light in the direction of the therianthropes. And Mycha, most surprisingly of all, had opened her mouth and sung. But this was not any sort of sweet singing by any means. The sound appeared only harmful to the werewolves however and it turned into a piercing wail that threatened their ear drums to burst. Within seconds, they were howling and rolling on the ground in pain trying to shut out the horrible noise. One of them had gotten the idea to shove moss in his ears which seemed to have worked, as he was now standing in triumph.

This wolf that had stood with tufts of moss in his pointed ears was grinning even more widely now. While he was able to stand, at long last a large rock thrown towards the porch was able to connect with Aursra. It hit her right on the shoulder and she broke her concentration. The invisible barrier hummed once in response and then fell with a snapping sound.

While the other weres suffered at the hands of Mycha's song, the one standing started to charge forward intent on getting his meal (Aursra) and maybe having the littlest girl as an appetizer. His brothers, somewhat inspired by this attack and also wanting to get the first bite, tried to stand and put their put effort forward at advancing towards the girls. So while one of the wolves charged past the barrier, the others were not far behind, trying to withstand the song. With any luck, the threat of the pack now running in the direction of the cottage would have the trio on the porch scrambling for cover and distract the horrible wailing cry that filled the air.

(OOC Note: Closing storyline due to "Thrown to the Wolves" finishing. It is assumed that the werewolves were chased away/defeated by Aursra, Ita and Mycha.)
