The Desiderio Estate....Aleris...
Her sister Sadia was crazy. No really, she was truly certifiable. If you were to point out to the cait sidhe that she was not exactly one to cast such stones she would have no idea what you were talking about, she never did. In her mind she was as sane and normal as they came. She was wrong, but good luck telling a cat ~or~ a fey that. Combined? Forget about it.
Their relationship did not begin until after both girls were grown, Kisa’s existence kept secret due to the nature of her birth and the circumstances surrounding why she was taken from their mother, Nimue. When finally the two had met it took some time but eventually they became quite close, something Kisa had not had since her paternal grandparents had died, and naturally she began to depend on that closeness. Chaos was a constant in their life, which was not overly unusual among the fey, even the half fey as Sadia was, and considering Sadia was, in Kisa’s estimation, bat shit crazy, she eventually came to the conclusion that she needed some time away from the family.
Kisa couldn’t blame her. The Desiderio family had estates in multiple worlds, cities, countries, realms, dimensions; Morlis made sure the family had a secure estate in every place they visited including a Villa in Italy just outside of Venice, the Eternal Empire, Mystra Amor though no one ever went there any longer, and now Aleris. Mystra Amore was a dead world and when the family decided to congregate within the Villa in Eternelle Lune within the Eternal Empire Sadia had decided it was time to explore the other half of her heritage. Plenty of time had been spent on Avalon with their mother, both girls often becoming bored with the sedate life of the priestesses though Sadia more so, and finally decided to explore Italy, the adopted country of her father, Morlis.
Wishing her well she saw the half fey half succubus off, staying behind with Sadia’s brother, Antonio, but after a time she began to miss her psycho sister, more then she was willing to admit. For days she considered contacting Sadia but did not wish to infringe upon her trip. She needed the time to herself, their lives were hectic ones and the last thing anyone wanted was for Sadia to go off the deep end! So she kept silent knowing Sadia would return home when she was ready.
Until the day she awoke with a sense of foreboding so strong she nearly fled the Villa for Avalon to get their mother, the Lady of the Lake, to do a reading on Sadia’s safety but somehow she knew that it wasn’t Sadia’s safety that was being threatened but something that would affect both of them, all of them. For days she debated whether or not to call Sadia home but the feeling that something huge was about to happen continued to plague her and eventually she came to the conclusion that it was better to contact Sadia now before whatever it was she was feeling manifested and it was too late.
The fastest way to find her would be by faerie messenger so relying on her status as Nimue’s heir on Avalon she summoned a messenger sprite. A pinch of lavender thrown onto the burning coals of her censure and a small summoning spell later a small winged sprite surrounded by a glowing blue nimbus of light appeared. Realizing it was the cait sidhe who had summoned her the usually annoyed sprite quickly pasted on a smile and bowed to the Lady’s heir. Not wishing to waste her time chastising the sprite she quickly began to explain what she needed but not without a narrowing of her faintly glowing green cats eyes, almost like the sprite would provide a nice little treat for the kitten if she pushed it.
”Go quickly and find my sister Sadia. She is traveling somewhere around the Italian countryside but you should be able to trace her energy. Tell her she is needed at home, and be quick about it!”
Shooing at the sprite as though it were a bug it shot from the room and just beyond the windows seemed to blink out of existence. It wouldn’t be the easiest thing in the world to find her sister but the fey left a very distinctive energy trail and any good sprite could track that. Gods knew they found her easily enough!!
Waving her hand to scatter the smoke coiling from her censure her thoughts turned to her sister. Would she be angry for being called home? Hopefully not, but, even if she were he would still be thrilled to see her sister. No matter the circumstances. Fixing her eyes on the smoke she willed it to form, to coalesce into a vision to give her some hint as to what was coming their way but all she saw was a pair of eyes a shade of very familiar green.
”Who are you….?”
