First however, he needed to repay his debt to the Goddess of Winter. If not for her, he never would have been reunited with his family. She'd used her power to bring him back from the dead to restore order to the Kirk family. How well he'd done that so far was in question, but Dravvin felt he needed to get his personal "shit together" before he started on the family. They'd done very well without him for twenty years, a few more weeks wouldn't hurt them.
With that in mind, Dravvin Kirk set off for the northern regions towards Elysia's temple. The last time he'd been here he hadn't really paid much attention to the surrounding area. He'd been more focused on the fact that he was alive again and had another son. It was a lot to take in at once. Kirk stood facing the temple, and was amazed at the beauty of it. The mountains rising up on either side of it, and the snow falling softly, gave the entire area a white glow. Of course that was before he got closer. The closer he got, the harder the snow fell. It was as if he was being told that if he really wanted to see the Goddess of Death he would have to prove it.
Of course the ice elemental wasn't about to be put off by some snow, and he kept his pace. Any time it got hard to see, the elemental just waved his hand and a gust of wind blew the snow from his vision for a moment, just long enough to make sure he was still on the right path.
He didn't remember the trek from the temple being his difficult, but then it made sense that she would want to keep those not truly faithful away. The Kirk father had made his faith to the Goddess known it would appear, because before he knew it, the large door appeared before him. What stood before him was the most beautiful building he'd ever seen. It made all others pale with it's marble exterior. He could picture the temple being able to withstand a full frontal attack had someone the desire to mess with Death and Ice.
Opening the door Dravvin was amazed again. The vast entrance was everything he'd expect from the Goddess. Artistry like none he'd ever witnessed was shown within. He couldn't help himself, with a flick of his wrist, he sent small pieces of ice into the air, they hit the icicles hanging from the ceiling. The faithful that had been under them ran scared, but Dravvin just grinned as the pieces he sent up hit and made a ringing tone with each strike. None fell, but the music that filled the room made everyone pause in what they'd been doing.
"Sorry." He said looking to those around him. "I couldn't resist." turning to a rather pissed looking priest, Dravvin addressed him, "I'm here to pay my respects to the Goddess Elysia."
"Well you've a poor way of showing it!" the stuffy priest replied, "What if you'd killed one of us with that little trick of yours?" He shouted pointing up.
Raising his brows, Dravvin shrugged, "I apologize. I shouldn't have been so reckless. Sometimes I forget that some people are still afraid of death. I beg your forgiveness." with that he gave the man a bow. "May I please pay my respects?" he asked as he straightened up.
The priest hadn't been expecting an apology, and was taken aback. "Um. Uh. Of course. Please follow me." He lead the reckless man deeper into the temple and to the shrine. "Here. This is where we go to pay homage to our Lady Elysia. I'll leave you to make your tribute."
As he left Dravvin's eyes widened. Did the man just say "tribute"? Other then himself he hadn't brought anything to give to Elysia. Had he just made a huge insult to the Goddess? He never was very good at this. He could give himself over to a God, but as far as tributes and rituals went he had no idea what was called for.
"Figures..." he muttered.
