Post subject: Re: Tred lightly lest ye disturb the faery rings
Post originally by Character_Kisa Le FeyAs was typical in most situations, everything seemed to happen at once or, at the very least, in quick succession. The pain that had claimed Bridget finally faded, the barriers in place coupled with Donia's unconsciousness allowed Brie to rise from her crouched position, her desire to do so under her own steam not lost on her older sister so Kisa rose along with her though resisted the urge to reach out and lend a steadying hand. Once on her feet Bridget turned her attention to the large glittering cavern they were standing in.
Her pleasure at the natural beauty surrounding them, enhanced just a bit with Kisa's magic of course, was visible and the feline smiled at her sisters obvious pleasure. It was the first reaction to what she'd created outside of Risclix and the pixies who served her and it served to reinforce that she'd done a good job at choosing the home of her new Court. She was on the verge of speaking with Brie closed the distance between them and hugged her. While she placed no blame upon her sisters for the difference in their histories they still had only known one another for a few years and in that time had spent only fleeting moments together given her training and Brie and Lanie's life in Ireland. After only a moments hesitation she wrapped her arms around Bridget, warmly returning the welcome affection.
They had just parted when two things happened; Bridget's head turned towards the concealed entrance just as Kisa felt the presence of another portal opening beyond the cavern (and given Brie's reaction she could guess who it was) and a voice from one of the smaller caverns deeper in the hillside where they'd placed Donia rang out. It figured she wouldn't stay out long given what she was and it sounded like she wanted out which wasn't something Kisa was going to do until she had determined that this woman was no threat to her Court. Tugging the sheet more tightly around her she began calling out to the pixies she knew were lurking just out of sight, her voice fading from the soft brogue she'd used to her sister to the authoritative voice of a Queen giving orders."Meadowsweet! Come, stay here and act as guide to my sister, Princess Bridget. She isn't familiar with the caverns yet so show her around and if she needs anything see to it that she gets it. Mustard Seed! My youngest sister, Princess Elphlane, is in the woods. Find her and guide her here. Moth! Go to our unknown guest and inform her she will be brought before the Queen of this Court shortly. Explain to her where she is and try to get any information from her that ye can about who she is, where she's from, and what she's doing here. Cobweb, Peaseblossom, come with me.”A chorus of high pitched bell like voices chimed a “Yes My Queen!” before the pixies scattered and set about their individual tasks. Turning to face Bridget she smiled, her cats green eyes glittering with excitement."I should really put some clothes on. Ye can wait for Lanie if ye like, or explore the caverns, find one ye like for ye own chambers. We'll go shopping in the city for anything ye need. Ye're welcome to be with me when I question our guest. We may be only half sisters but ye are still of the Le Fey line, still the granddaughter of Morgaine and Merlin, and as long a I am Queen the two of ye shall be Princesses of my Court.”On impulse she leaned forward and using only one arm as she was still holding her sheet gown in place hugged Bridget quickly before turning and disappearing down the corridor that opened behind her throne and led to her private chambers, the two pixies, Cobweb and Peaseblossom, trailing behind and already lifting tendrils of Kisa's honey gold hair to allow them to braid it into an intricate design only pixies seemed capable of.
It was time to dress and greet her new Court as its Queen.

Post originally by Character_Kisa Le FeyElphlane and Bridget had finally arrived. They had met Risclix only a time or two so introductions all around were renewed. Elphlane had even brought Spirit in tow, something Kisa did not mind in the least. Being something of an animal herself she had no problem with their presence in her Court. Then again, fae and animals had always been very closely intertwined. The presence of her sisters helped make the cavern more of a home and with them there and getting settled in she set about continuing the building of her fae haven.
It was slow at first but different fae had already begun to migrate to her court. The Pixies especially as she already had the five pixies in her service; the others were getting wind of how she treated them more fairly than many of the other larger fae races and she welcomed them all. With their help the interior of the Crystal Cavern was beginning to flourish. The packed earth ground had already been covered with the softest of green moss and vines dripping with fragrant flowers had begun to sprout from the earth and climb up the cavern walls, making sure not to cover up or obscure the sparkling crystals that still glittered on the ground, walls, and ceiling.
Trips were being made into Grand City where the Palace and all the shopping was for the purpose of procuring furnishings for their individual chambers within the Cavern. The honeycomb of corridors leading off of the immense main cavern were vast and the smaller caverns plentiful. Her sisters had each chosen one that suited them and it was time to decorate. While it was true that they were living in a cave surrounded by enchanted plant life, that didn’t mean she didn’t want a bed. Sheer drapes and ornate wooden screens were crafted to assist with the sectioning off of the various smaller caverns as well to lend the inhabitants a measure of privacy, old fashioned slatted wooden doors bound with gold and silver already under construction for the same purpose.
Her favorite addition was the flowering cherry blossom tree she’d encouraged to grow next to the crystal outcropping she’d designated as her throne, it’s twisting branches dipping over in a graceful arc to act as canopy to the throne as well as curtain to the entrance to her personal chambers which was right behind her seat of power. The cavern was powered on heavy fae magic and she was its heart and she loved the new home her family was building.
Naturally she’d gone to see their captive, Donia, but by the time she’d arrived the obviously Unseelie woman had again fallen unconscious due to the nature of her injuries. Knowing many fae healed faster when in a deep sleep she left her as she was, warded against wandering off on her own until Kisa could determine her motives for being there. It was while gazing at the stranger that her mind began to wander. Obviously of the darker fae races she couldn’t help but wonder which branch she hailed from and that of course caused her to think on the many darker fae races. Many of the lighter, Seelie, fae shunned them but she’d always been different. The grimalkin, or cait sidhe, fell in the sort of gray category…not dark or Unseelie, but not trusted by the Seelie races as they were known for their cunning and trickery.
She was different though. A darkness of her own existed within her and she would welcome all at her Court..dark and light fae alike as along as their intentions were good. Even the drow would be welcome…the drow. Just saying the word in her mind catapulted her thoughts to the past and the first summer she’d spent in Faerie. She had only just learned who and what she was and been introduced to her mother. She was still new to the reality of the fae and Avalon, having thought the stories she’d heard all her life were just fairy tales, and Maniac had just left her to resume his own life away from Avalon. It was before she’d met Antonio and had her brief relationship with him. Before, even, she’d met her sisters. She’d fought against the dictates of the stuffy old Elders, a trend which never abated, so she’d been shipped off to Faerie to spend the summer within her Grandmother’s Court.
It was there she’d met him…the darkly handsome vampiric drow who had so easily captured her interest to the point of utter infatuation. She’d spent nearly every night of that summer in his company…and then the Fall came and it was time for her to return to her duties at Avalon. She’d wanted to stay…waited for him to tell her not to go..but he was so bound by the concept of duty that he said nothing. Of course, he might not have wanted her to stay which was a possibility she hadn’t wanted to entertain but had made herself accept.
Faintly glowing phosphorescent green cat’s eyes closed against the rush of memories assailing her senses. She hadn’t let herself dwell on him, forcing the longing down and keeping it under lock and key lest it consume her, and now that they were free it crashed over her in knee buckling waves. Images of their last night together had her right hand rising to press to the cavern wall, steadying herself as she replayed their last moments together and their eventual farewell through her mind. Many times she’d wondered where he was, if he was okay, or even still alive given the nature of the drow.
Steadying herself she turned to leave the remote cavern where Donia had been housed and began to make her way back through the network of corridors that would lead her to the main Cavern. As she walked she couldn’t help reaching up and letting her fingers run over the brooch that held her hair back, a black onyx spider with a stone made of solidified blood in its center, like that of a black widow. It had belonged to his mother and he’d worn it as a clasp to his cloak for years. He’d gifted it to her their last night together and she’d worn it as a hair or cloak adornment nearly every day since then. No one knew where the brooch had come from, no one had asked really. But he’d given it to her, something that had belonged to his mother, and because of that she had always harbored a secret hope that they would cross paths again some day though truthfully she accepted it was unlikely after all this time.
For now she would focus on building her Court, her family..and Risclix. Guilt suffused her as she thought of Risclix. She cared for him very much but she couldn’t stop the rush of warmth and longing she experienced whenever she thought of him. Still, it was Risclix who was there, Risclix who had helped her build her new world, and Risclix she should be focusing on now.
Not the dark prince from her memories.
Why then could she not rid her thoughts, or her heart, of his presence?

Post subject: Re: Tred lightly lest ye disturb the faery rings
Post originally by Character_Kisa Le FeyLife was settling in for the small fae community that had taken up residence in a large cavern within the woods of the Eastern Land of Spring. They were a small group to start. Things in the land of Aleris was not all peace and as the fae had done for eons prior they kept to the mist and took refuge in the crystal cavern where they made their Court. It wasn’t an easy place to find by any means, especially if you were not of fae blood, the very forest surrounding them seeming to protect them from intruders and there were pixie outposts ever alert to potential danger.
Within their small community things were quiet, for the most part. As with any group there is always the initial stage when people are settling in and becoming accustomed to their new surroundings and the people they now share their space with. Trips into the Grand City to shop for furnishings for their new crystal cave home were made frequently. Just because they lived in a cavern didn’t mean they needed to sleep in dirt. In fact the interior was quite grand, the magic inherent in every nook and cranny obvious to even the most magically oblivious person.
Their little visitor who had appeared in the woods shortly after their arrival (Donia) had departed. She’d awoken and had asked to leave. As she had taken no aggressive action against them Kisa saw no reason she should not agree to her request and Donia was set free to find her own way back to whatever her life was.
Life was peaceful, for the moment, but not all within the cavern were at peace. Their Queen and her Consort were silently at odds to any who knew the couple well. The gift given to them by her grandmother, Morgaine Le Fey, had allowed them to take the same size at the same time whenever they wanted and for a time the novelty had helped, but there was an every growing chasm between Kisa and Risclix that was as much her fault as it was his, if not more so. You can’t expect a man to try to compete with a ghost from the past and as he felt Kisa withdraw into herself more and more he sought solace with the pixies, another source of contention between them. Still, the affection was obviously still there and no one was the wiser.
No one save them, of course.
Little did the newly made fae queen know that her Grandmother was well aware of her conflicting emotions and just what was causing her inner turmoil. Though her granddaughter might not welcome such meddling she wasn’t going to let her little Morgana (so named for her grandmother Morgaine at birth) suffer if she could help it. And she usually could.

Post originally by Character_Elphlane Le FeyPerhaps it was all the time spent with Spirit her not quite what he seemed companion that made her a little perceptive that things werne't as they should be. The little community was gentle, loving and a happy place but something still felt off. Which was why she always watched on, observing people in between working on her talent of communicating with animals and amature use of glamours.
Trips into town were sometimes nice as she looked and acted quite human with the rich cornacopia of her hair as it was always loose and falling free about her shoulders. The one woman had come and gone and with that she'd tilted her head. Curious as always as to what all transpired.
Her sister and her companion like consort seemed happy and yet not. They spent time, they seemed happy but still perhaps it was her own imagination that made her start going out of her way every day to do little things. Laying a flower before her sister's door on the way out. Leaving some novelty candy she'd found in the town before Risclix's. It was a strange candy she'd found called a blood sucker.
The lady she'd bought a bunch off of stated they had blood in them and since now she new that Risclix was in part a vampire she was trying to do something to just make it happy and better. Those little things she expected to go unnoticed as most days she as outside the cavern in the woods.
Dancing and singing as well as continuing an informal education of learning the local languages, their customs so she could fit in and make friends. She was often accompanied by some animal or another, this particular day it was a deer that was following, eatting mint leaves out of her hand."Salt lick, is it odd that I don't understand the concept of love to know if my sister is alright? Sometimes it feels like something's wrong, somethings not. Perhaps I just think too much." The deer butted her head and opened it's mouth for another leaf that brought a smile to her lips. "Yes I know, less talking, more eating. Salt lick, I'm not your personal snack vendor." She sighed and kept walking through the woods. The lights hitting off the silken pink gown she wore that trailed in her wake dirty and torn along the edges, none of her dresses ever lived long as her shoes were as always ditched at the entrance to the caverns.
Fearlessly she walked through the woods barefooted and in contemplation. "How does one learn to better understand someone that didn't know you existed much less you knowing they existed. I wish to help my sister, any suggestions?" She looked to Salt lick expectantly and all she got back were doe eyes. Go figure, looks like this was something she'd have to figure out by herself, maybe she really was reading into things too much.
Sometimes she wished people were animals, she'd understand them with a solitary touch, and know how to make it all better.
