One thing I can think of is maybe a forum to test signatures like on "that other board"?

And Quinn, I can tell you your signature is way too wide for the layout! If you can, make it at least 650 or under pixels in width.
As for the forums issues and it being buggy about logins/posting, there's not much I can do about it at the moment It may be just this layout, though I don't have any issues with it myself, so I can't be positive. However, I have enabled it so you can now change the forum layout to the default phpBB style.
To do this go to User Control Panel -> Board Preferences -> Edit Global Settings -> Choose "My board style" from the drop down on this page. The current style for this board is "GuildWarsAlliance" but you can now switch it to the default "prosilver" style.

And let me know if that helps at all with your issues. If it solves some of the problems, I can say it's probably because of the layout and it might give me more motivation to make something new.
