"In the meantime," Elijah began, finishing the sentence for the man next to him, "get rid of Shimmer Town, then the rest of Elved and then... Aleris."

"And the children?"

Elijah offered a shrug. "Appetizers?"

Every hero and every villain needs a look, something that separates them from the rest of the flock. Whatever style of clothing you desire can be bought here, and if you cannot find it they will certainly make it. All sales are final, but once you see what the tailors of First Impressions are capable of the last thought in your mind will be to return their work.

Ariadne was proof that one truely didn't need material things to make them happy. It was her first day of work and she was like a kid at Christmas. Figuring she probably annoyed the rest of the family to no end with her sheer excitedness, she didn't sleep. Then again, she didn't sleep much anyway, there was no real need.

It took her hours to get ready, in typical girl fashion she had to try multiple things on and different combinations. Finally, she decided on a pleated plaid skirt with greens and blues with a corset-like top worn over a white long sleeved dress shirt which she left unbuttoned to the top of the corset. Nature was kind when they filled her out, that was obvious. Even being younger than the rest of her family -- then again, she wasn't blood related to any of them, but that didn't mean that she was any less of one.

Sitting on the edge of her bed, she pulled on one of the knee-high boots and looked up to see her pet come in through the window. Quetzel's were drawn to her, and she had one for her own. Scary enough, she could understand it.

"I know. I'm late." She grumbled and brushed her feathered hair over her shoulder as she stood up after zipping the boots along her calves. Checking her makeup, she re-applied some and fluffed up her hair before heading out.

"One day, I'll learn to fly and this won't happen anymore." She murmured half to herself as she made sure that the feathered wings that were more tattoo than wings were covered up as much as she was able. But, really, how could you cover that when you have slight feathering all over? You can't.

After getting some food and something to drink, she arrived at First Impressions, miraculously early and opened up shop. She was the only clerk that she knew of working for now. At least that she had been told of, which was fine.

More work meant less time for her to get herself in trouble.

Which was a good thing.. Then again, working there could mean that she could get some of her family to dress better. Really, the men in the family could use some help.

Of course, none of that was ever said. It was a fun task for her to complete, and everyone needs a hobby. At least her's didn't include booze and sex.

At least not yet.

When everything was put in the back, she set out to put away items that needed it as well as straightening out everything. It looked like a dirvish had passed through. Ariadne was so into doing her own task that only the sound of the bell above the door drew her from her work.

"Why hello! How can I help you today?" She poked her head up from the racks much like a meercat.

"I need a new wardrobe. Evidentally, what I have isn't proper enough." The woman frumped and seemed ginuinely put off by that fact.

"Marrying money?"

The woman didn't realize but the rock on her hand said it all. "Unfortunately."

Ah, that explained it. Ariadne rubbed her hands together and moved out to usher the woman in and she began taking measurements and sizes. This was going to be fantastic!

Post subject: Winters dreary embrace Post

The seasons were changing and thus meant the fashions were changing. As a tropical bird, Ariadne hated the cold weather. Winter sucked majorly for the girl and she was often grumpy and all-together less than great to be around when she got home from work.

And thus, she had been working all alone for months now. No one else around which meant that she was carrying the weight of the store on her shoulders. So in a hairbrained moment, she decided she would apply for the manager position of the store. She was doing everything anyway, so why not?

Pushing around the racks with the heavier clothing items, she put all her weight behind shifting the set so she could put out the more colorful stuff that suited her fancy.

Though, even in the winter time she decided that she could be fashionable and miserable all at the same time.

The fur-lined boots came up to mid-calf and the 'coat' she wore was lined in the same kind of fur. White, tan, and pink. Those were the colors she wore. Under the coat, she had on a skirt and a strappy top. Her green feathered hair was piled miticulously atop her head.

"Umph!"

Even being all by her lonesome, she managed to get rather impressive sales. Granted, most from her family.. because she made them. But still. A sale was a sale!

In her head, she was going about what to write on her resume to boost up her position in the store. She was savvy with sales and with money in general.

You know.. that whole thing with having ones eggs all in one basket.

She was arms deep in jackets when the bell to the shop opened and she poked her head up to see a younger gentleman look around nervously.

"Good afternoon, sir. What can I do for you?" Ari said in her most chipper accented voice.

"I'm looking for something for my mi..wife." He stammered quickly as he approached Ariadne.

Perking her brows, Ari looked over the man and nodded. She wasn't stupid and that little slip of his didn't go un-noticed. "Well. What kind of items are you looking for? What kind of woman is she?"

Of course, those questions were important, because every woman's styles -- as well as mens were different. She had the store sectioned out into genders and ages. With unmentionables toward the back.

"I was looking for some lingerie. It's our anniversary you see, and she just had a baby and is feeling better about herself." The man explained and Ariadne looked at him, and she hid her true expression well enough. He was lying to her through his teeth and he thought her too stupid to understand.

"I see. Well, what sizes do you think she is?" She motioned to her own hips and her bust as to help.

"Um. I'm not sure. She's probably about your size."

Her head canted and she looked down at herself breifly. "How long ago did she have the baby, if I might be so bold."

"A couple weeks."

A brow perked again. A woman a couple weeks past pregnancy would not be able to be her size unless they didn't eat. At all. Ariadne was curvy, that was true but she was slim and she was nowhere near the size someone who would have been pregnant would be.

"Well, congratulations sir. Come this way, I'll be able to help you out." She smiled charmingly and led him to the back of the store.. where she wanted to bludgeon him with a club.

However, that would be like the pot calling the kettle black. She, herself had a couple men on the side, though she didn't have a husband nor a boyfriend and her family was incubi and succubi. So fidelity meant little. But this man was obviously neither incubi nor any other species that would require multiple partners.

So, Ariadne thought she would toy with the boy who was not much older than herself. She held up items to herself and let him have a good look before sending him on his way with less-than-innocent thoughts and a lrge bag of clothes.

Might was well profit from the lech, right?

Had jumped for joy when she found out about her application being accepted by her new boss, Ariadne. The cute little tropical bird that she had been spying on around the villa. Had an opportunity to talk to her but had made herself a bit isolated from the others in the passing weeks but that’s ok! Things would change now. Would be working with Ariadne and was determined to do her best... even though she’s never had a job before. Wasn’t exactly sure what a store clerk did. She was going to sell stuff? And? Was a red head with blonde moments.

Guesses the only way she would find out is if she went to work. After being told of her new position, she had attempted at a full night sleep, and that morning she’d get ready for work. Dressed to impress, she was very excited. Slips on her favorite top, an ivory lace corset top tied together with silk ribbon with a long skirt made of the same material as her top, covered with the lace. Sliding into some cream flats before leaving the villa. Could barely get any sleep at all but the excitement was worth it. A skip to her step, she’d make it to First Impressions right on time. Getting there a little early to meet with Aria to go over a few things. Figured this was her chance to ask what was expected of her. Didn’t want to disappoint. Either Aria or Tonio.

Opened the front entrance that had already been unlocked, and made her way inside closing the door behind her. Heard Ariadne leave the villa before her. Figured she had to get things together before her new employee came to learn. Looking around, she’d quickly spot Aria. Azure had a big ole grin upon her face as she hurried to make her way to her boss’ side.
Hiya Aria! I’m in for work. Do I like stamp a card or something? Looked a bit confused. Ariadne may have her work cut out for her when it came to this one.

Was quickly sent off to fold some things. There were a pile of tops that had just come into the store that needed to either be hung or folded for display. She’d get to it. Fold one sleeve and then the next, fold over. Done and onto the next. Humming to herself as she started her work day, finding ways to amuse herself. Finally! A customer. And before the words, “Can I help you with anything?,” could roll off her tongue, Ariadne had already made her way to the woman offering up help. Huffed. About thirty minutes would pass before another customer would enter. Luckily Ariadne was busy checking the other customer out. Now was her chance.

Welcome to First Impressions, my name is Azure. Can I help you with anything this afternoon? Would smile towards the woman, her first customer. It took everything she had not to jump all crazy like with excitement in front of her. Calm yourself, breathe…

Afternoon. I’m looking for something to, uh... spice up my marriage. She was in need of something, a bit shy but wanted to please her husband.

Ohh. How long have you and your husband been married? Just assuming she’d be married to a man. Looking over the woman, taking in her height and every curve on her form.

About five and a half years now. It feels like fifty years though and I just don’t want him to feel that he is missing out on anything. Miss out and wander elsewhere. Plus, she deserved a good sex life too. Was hoping this visit would give her that.

Hm... Is there any style you were looking for? Color? Does he prefer a certain color on you? Hoped not. Azurelle already had a few outfits of lingerie picked out for the lady in her head.. completely styled.

Blue! He likes blue on me. It looks good with my blonde hair he says. It just really has to be sexy. Really sexy! I, uh, wanna make him drool. From one woman to another, she had to understand that. To make a man drool is like the highest compliment he’d actually admit to his friends he made... plus, he’d brag to his buddies how hot his wife was the other night.

Blue and really sexy, eh? Well, you came to the right place. First we have to measure you to accomplish the perfect fit… a sexy fit. Would wave the woman into the back of the store to do so and not in front of all that passed the store. Showing her to a dressing room as she pulled her trusty measuring tape made of ribbon. Took every chance to whip it out that she could. It was cute.

Azurelle would ask the woman to hold out her arms as she’d measure her bust. Measuring around the widest part of the bust, across the nipples. Thirty-four. Would kneel down in front of the woman to be on eye level as Azure measured the woman’s waist. Started measuring her waist from the narrowest area of the waist, between the bottom rib and top of the hip bones. Just above her bellybutton. Twenty-four. Then she’d measure the woman’s hips. Measuring from the widest way around her hips and ass, level with her hip bones. Thirty-six. Stored all of that in her mind as she darted up to go after some blue and sexy.

Would come back to the dressing room where the woman had already started removing clothing in preparation to trying on a few outfits before she found ‘the one’. Had three outfits and began to hang them up on the hook offered in the room. The first one was an exquisite baby blue floral tapestry corset with hook and eye front, boning, and satin lace up detail, adjustable and detachable garters with a matching thong. The second one was a black mesh open-front babydoll with underwire and adjustable straps and blue satin ties at bodice and bottom with a matching g-string. The first two are of certain taste but the third was brought because it was an any man’s type of lingerie. Meaning… any man would love to see that on a woman. The third one she had picked out was a black leather with a soft blue lace overlay underwire bra with open cups and collar and adjustable back closure. Garter belt with adjustable hook-and-eye back closure with a black thong.

Would watch the woman dress in each outfit, helping it fit over her body how it should, snapping closures shut. To be honest, she looked good in everything she put on and was lucky that she had Emiliana. Wasn’t sure she could handle a job like this and be professional. The woman had made her choice… all of them. Yup, that’s right. All of them. She looked wonderful in everything she put on and was inspired to be more sexual with her husband. Azurelle made her first sale and it was a nice one.

"Look at me again, and I'll rip your fuckin' face off and shove it down your throat. Am I perfectly fuckin' clear?" The guard that was dangling from the ground stared in systematic shock at the Desiderio who was gripping the collar of his Alerisian armor and holding him there as though he weighed nothing, with a disgusted sneer on his face. It was because of that surprise that the sentry hesitated to answer for a second, and Ballade shoved him ruthlessly against the brick wall, which was done with enough force that a huge crack splintered along the glass window of the shop he was next to -- which just happened to be First Impressions, managed by some cousin of his that he hadn't bothered to meet or talk to.

"I gave you a fuckin' order. I suggest you answer it, or the next thirty seconds of your life will not only be the most painful, they'll be your last. Get me?" "Yes, sir! Please, I have a wife, I was only looking at you like I look at everyone, it's my-" The sudden look of sheer, ballistic anger that passed over Ballade's normally calm, relaxed features caused the guard to simply fall silent, as he assumed he was about to die nonetheless. For a moment, there was only silence.

"Are you saying I'm like every other class act here, jack-ass? Do you have any idea who I am? I'm Ballade Desiderio, and I'm..."

He stopped, and then shook his head as he realized he was uncertain as to what his point was. Disgusted, he threw the guard to the ground and waved his hand in dismissal. "Look, man... I think I just drank too much last night. You know how it is -- you're out lookin' for kicks, some girl's passing around the vodka spiked with whatever... next thing you know, you're banging her while her sister rubs her tits in your face. Crazy nights lead to bad hangovers, champ. Let's just forget I went ballistic on you, and start over again," Ballade suggested, moving to lightly dust the guard's armor off as he shakily pushed himself to his feet. The man cringed, trying to get out of Ballade's reach before actually turning away, and breaking into a mad dash to flee from the Desiderio immortal. "Oh, come on! I didn't hurt you!"

With a sigh, he simply shook his head and glanced up at the sign of the shop he was in front of. "What the hell just got into me...? And... I think I want new clothes, too."

"Something in black... with sunglasses." He pushed the door open, and stepped inside before glancing around. There was an extravagantly large selection, though most of it was too flashy or tacky for Ballade's tastes... which were changing at an ridiculously fast pace. The clerk was spotted, and he tilted his head slightly before moving towards her. "I don't think we've met... but I think we're related. Ballade Desiderio, son of Cahira Alvoris and Gabriel Frost. Antonio recently invited me to stay at the villa, though I've spent most of my time in my room with a guest of mine," Ballade explained pleasantly, though he didn't mention that the guest he was referring to was usually a different one every night, since he had politely broken up with Allison nearly a full week earlier. He moved past her towards a case, and pointed towards a pair of simple, but elegant wire-frame sunglasses with black lenses, that would look particularly nice upon his handsome features, given his pale blonde spikes of short hair and those soft, sea-green eyes. The glasses also happened to be the most expensive set in the case, though it was clear he didn't care. "Yeah, I definitely want those."

Afterwards, he glanced at a case across the room -- it held an Alerisian Investigator overcoat; a very simple style of garment done in black, but marked with the badges of the realm. He pointed at it, and then gestured to his lean, sculpted frame of five feet, eleven inches, "I'd like that, but minus all the Alerisian emblems... maybe one small Desiderio crest over the heart on the left side. And tailored to fit me, too -- I'd disappear in that one you've got in the case over there. And lastly... I think I want a pair of military issue boots, pants... and maybe a bullet-proof vest for underneath. You know, something dark, for a soldier type."

As he waited for Azurelle to introduce herself and process his order, he idly suspected he might be on to something with that last statement!

Standing there, she had been hanging clothing. It seemed like all day, though really she had only been doing it for an hour. Boredom hung heavily upon her today and was ready for a customer. It had been a bit slow today, compared to prior days. One of those days at work that you just spend cleaning up everything that may have been a bit neglected before. Just before her eyes went crossed... he walked in. A customer. With further investigation, it had been someone she seen before. Not exactly knew. It was hard to introduce yourself to a man who seemed to always have a gaggle of ladies, drunk, and stumbling along with him towards chambers in the late of night or even the early morn.

Walked up to him, like she’d walk towards any customer to offer her service to them. The corners of her lips would draw up into a wicked little grin as he proved he really had no clue who she was as he introduced himself to her. Would let him continue to speak as she tilted her head, taking him in a bit with some sort of false look of being impressed with what caught her view, bringing her gaze back to his own to off up a genuine smile to him.

You know… you really are cute. More of an out loud correction of her own observation than a statement. Of no relation and I’m no creation. I’m Azurelle. Just a friend of Antonio’s. We use to go to school together. Just staying for a bit… or awhile. I haven’t much figured that out yet. Before she could even get all of that out, he had already darted past her and began to shop. Right this way… Just a tad sarcastic. He seemed to draw it out of her already.

Lilac orbs looked towards the case that he had quickly spotted and already seemed to figure out what he wished from there. Moving past him and behind the case, she’d pull a ribbon from her wrist which held the key to the cases and started to unlock it to bring out the pair he had pointed out for himself, placing them upon a piece of velvet over the glass case. Watched as he moved towards the case across the way, pointing out an overcoat. While he spoke of his requests of the jacket, she had already gotten a pad a pencil to begin jotting it all down.
..one small Desiderio crest over the heart on the left side, boots, pants... and a bullet-proof vest for underneath. Repeating as she wrote, making sure she got it correctly.

After she was done, she’d look up towards Ballade with a raised brow.
You’re a soldier? Yup, she perked up. Was intrigued now. Moving out from behind the case and towards him, glancing towards the over coat before looking to him again. Well, soldier… Ready to be measured? With just a smile, she’d turn to start walking towards the back where the fitting rooms were.
