Hello Everyone,

Recently the GM Staff at Aleris had the desire to revise our class system. During the past week or so, we worked on revising what we had taking some of the input on the discussion thread. For the most part, it seemed people just wanted some sort of "hybrid" class.

Our final desicion was the makings of a Primary and Secondary Class. More details can be seen here : http://www.aleris-rpg.org/classes.php.

It is actually not much different from what we had before. Basically you choose two of the classes you want and your character gets a bonus for whatever class they have chosen. Your Primary class will get a higher stat bonus, while your Secondary class will get a smaller stat bonus.

Example : Character A chooses to be a Fighter (Primary) and Healer (Secondary Combo). Character A will get a +1 Damage bonus every ten levels for his Primary class and an additional +1 HP at level 25 and 50 for his Secondary class.

Some other things to note about the revised class system :

1. We have added one additional class, which is a Ranger themed class.
2. We have also simplified the crafting class. Before it was separted into Safecraft and Blacksmith... We have decided to just combine these; your character can make whichever type of armors/weapons they want if they are a crafter class. This will make it much easier.

If you have recently updated your character sheet and chosen your class, I apologize that you may have to submit a revision again. In light of this, I would like to suggest that anyone who would like to make any character adjustments to their class to send me a PM via the forum. This may make it easier for you to just write down a list of your character's classes and submit them to me, rather than using our registration form.

I would also like everyone to be aware we have some new stuff coming up that we're working on. Hopefully we'll have that up soon.
