"In the meantime," Elijah began, finishing the sentence for the man next to him, "get rid of Shimmer Town, then the rest of Elved and then... Aleris."

"And the children?"

Elijah offered a shrug. "Appetizers?"

After Ainsley left Kaine made his way out of the Redmont Headquarters. Her words to him had been impassioned and completely true. He hadn't treated his family with respect nor honor. Of course that had been his plan from the beginning. He wasn't trying to be the leader. He didn't want to take Maxim's place while he was away. The Bishop had only been trying to get things moving. And now they were. He knew that once Ainsley left him she'd be calling together whom ever she could to discuss his "speech". And he was more then ready to discuss his plan with the leading members of the Family.

However there was something he needed to check on first.

As he left the caverns they'd been calling home, Kaine silently and unseen made his way to a small hill not far from the rest of the Family. His pace never slowed as he stepped up to and through the rock face. The vampire mage had made this his personal hideout days after they'd arrived. He knew that for what he did for the Red King he'd have to have a place separate from the rest. From here he'd planned, and it was in this alcove that he realized the Redmonts had been letting the Ravenholms do whatever they wanted. No force to stand against them had been assembled. Until now.

The first thing that hit him as he entered his quarters was the smell. It was horrible. Ever since the girl arrived here she'd been smelling up his rooms. Humans always did stink, and this one was worse then most. He stepped over to the cage and looked at her. She was quiet for a change, and seemed smaller then when he'd first brought her here. When was the last time he'd fed her? He lost track of small things sometimes. Of course if he wanted this part of his plan to work the girl needed to remain alive or her parents wouldn't become their allies, but their enemies. They didn't need more of those right now.

One problem at a time.

Kaine opened a locker and pulled out some dried meat strips and a bottle of water. The Redmont opened the girls cage to put them in and that was when she woke up. Her mouth opened and clamped down on his arm, biting hard. He jerked his hand back, but she came out with it holding on like a shark.

"Let go you little bitch!" He growled, then flung her across the room. The girl hit the wall hard, but unfortunately not hard enough to knock her out.

"My mother and father are going to kill you." she said.

Rolling his eyes behind his mask Kaine nodded, "Yes, you've told me before." He crossed the room and pulled her up by her hair, then dragged her back to her cage. "Now eat and be quite." He locked the door behind her. She was beginning to be more trouble then he thought she was worth.

With that he turned and left. He needed to return and speak with the leading ladies of the Redmonts. He couldn't wait to see which ones would actually show. Or the looks on their faces when they heard his plans.

When one is what most consider something Eternal, time is not even considered. However, the longevity of a Redmont was another thing. They as vampires were quite likely to be immortal, those that never die. But with the way they were, that was almost laughable. They whom had war, destruction and yes even betrayal flowing through their very veins didn't like waiting for time to slip by.

The Widow was no different as she waited as long as she was going to. Having flicked off the guard to make her way to the house for her requests of being at least heard were ignored. She turned on her heel and walked off. Her short blond hair tucked back into her jade cloak and she leapt high using her inate ability to climb high to give her a birds eye view. Her lips compressed and her eyes utterly stone cold.

Patience was not something Cassandra had in spades.Which was why she started to depart the Redmont facilities when a guard waylaid her. Another one asking questions that was already irking her already impatient annoyed persona. Her eyes were cold, distant as already the lull of the wild was calling her. The questions always seemed to be the same so she snapped out the same things.

What's your name and business here?

Cassandra Redmont, and you're not that lucky to know.

Redmont? You don't look like one.

You wouldn't know because you haven't been living that long.

I don't like your attitude, what do you want with the others.

Again, you're not that privledged to know my information.

I think you're just spying for someone and I'm arresting you.

I'd LOVE to see you try.

Moving swiftly he moved to unarm her, mind you her swords were sheathed, it was a simple thing to simply break the skin of her hand and press it to his head. "You should study your opposition before making moves. Are you not being trained well anymore?" She inquired as the spider venom that was a part of her blood leached into the male.

Body twitching he pulled away rubbing at his head.
"I'd find a healer, soon. The venom of the black widow can kill, even in the trace ammount I just leached into your own system...." She turned and started walking off once more.

No she was not a patient person, she didn't like standing around it wasn't in her nature to do. For years she'd spent training and defending one of the outposts in Mystra now this. Gathering information for the last 100 years had not made her disposition any better.

The question was as to whom if any would find out what she knew and how she knew to do things. But for now she was not going to stand around. The woods was as good a place as any to go for now. There were stupid people that wandered there sometimes Lumine's own that made it easier to well collect things.

Aldrick stopped in mid-step. He was walking towards the Redmont home. The only problem was that he didn't remember how he got to where he was today. The Wraith knew that Kaine had a plan of some sorts to attack the Ravenholms, and that he had royally pissed many of The Family off. He also knew that he was in the Outlands, The land of the Redmonts, that was currently being held by their worst enemies.

The funny thing was the last real memory he had was standing outside of a pub while The Kinslayer went to do just that. He stood face to face with Maxim Redmont, in front of the Mystic Pub, ready to die. He didn't remember how that ended or how he got to this new land.

Turning sharply he edged away from the Stronghold and towards the woods instead. He needed a few minutes to clear his head before going in and telling the others that he didn't trust Kaine. At least that was his plan, he now realized. He'd been heading back to try and convince the rest of the Family not to follow the misguided ideas of "The Bishop".

The thought then occurred to Aldrick that he shouldn't be speaking to any of them, because they were Brood and he (as far as he knew) was the last remaining Dynasty member. But he'd put that aside for the sake of the family when they arrived back in the Outlands. How he remembered that he wasn't sure, but he knew that the only way he saw for the survival of the Redmont name was for the two factions to work together.

He looked up towards the lair of the infamous former slayers, his mind wandering, and saw movement out of the corner of his eye. A woman, being stopped by a guard. The guard going down, and the woman walking off in the same direction that he was heading. She'd injured if not killed the guard and went on as if it was nothing. The Wraith made his way closer to her, if she'd turned she'd see his pale face and hair almost seeming to float in the darkness. His clothing was as usual, black with blue highlights that were all but invisible at night. He kept his hand on his weapon, ready.

"Hello Cousin Redmont," He started. He didn't recognize her but for the fact that she was family. "I wish to speak with you about what just happened. Did the man on duty assault you in some way? Otherwise I doubt that Maxim would be pleased to hear that you've treated another family member in such a way."

Did The Wraith of The Redmonts wish to start a fight with another family member? No. However, he was hardly about let the assault of one who had put their life on the line for The Family, go unspoken of. He would listen to the woman's reasons, maybe more, but once it was over, she'd have to answer to the Kinslayer.

Perhaps to anyone but her it would have been irony when the man approached her. A distant cousin from the smell alone ebbed to the hybrid vampress as she paused for but a moment in her departure to glance over her shoulder. Eyes flaring faintly and lips slightly pulling back to reveal an almost amused smile were it not so minimal.

"I don't appreciate being questioned as to whom I am or being stopped by someone that evidently doesn't know his head from his backside. As to him, no I wouldn't kill him even if he did make the first move. Well, he'll die if he don't see the medic soon. Family on the other hand, are not treated nor do they lack common sense as that guard does."

Cassandra's tones were rather straight and to the point. Although the Widow's personality just remained the same as if she was talking to a member versus a guard. There was only one guard she ever truely respected and that was Blaise.

With that said and done she simply lofted an eyebrow her lips still coiled in that almost smile as she slid a few things further into the depths of that cloak of hers. Really she knew he meant no offense nor was he attacking just caling what he may or may not have thought he saw.

Were it not family he'd have gotten the same venomous treatment as the guard as she really had no patience considering she'd been here in these Aleris outlands for over 100 years and her patience had not improved. the years of correspondance, intelligence and the occasional sabotage had not come at a cheap cost even to and for her.

"Was there anything else, Cousin Redmont."
She inquired using much the same tone as he'd used with her. It wasn't to be rude really, just to make it known she wasn't wanting to stand around and chat about the weather. Living this long under Lumine's radar didn't allow her the luxerey to rest on her laurels and just stand about.

Lorelei knew that she would likely not be thanking Ainsley when all was said and done. But for now, all was well and Lorelei would do the task she was given and she would do it as well as she could.

Not only that, Lorelei had no idea what Ainsley had up her sleeves as to how to ensure that she would not go recgonized by the rest of the land. Let alone those who she would have to interact with. It was a large task, with great risks. But without those risks, one couldn't even come close to victory. Even in the smallest sense.

The switch of scenery didn't phase the Redmont as they seemed to appear elsewhere. However, the choice to appear in an unknown room atop some mountains peak, that confused her just a bit. But, Lorelei had learned her lesson and she wouldn't question the witch. Not after the last time.

There was one thing that Lorelei enjoyed about the room in which they stood. It was very energizing to stand there. And it was not a dark brooding energy that she could pick up on which was odd coming from anything having to do with Ainsley.

Again, Lorelei stayed quiet and she let her face fall into an indifferent expression. As lovely and blank as a porcelain doll.

When Ainsley patted the arm of the couch, she took that as her cue to sit. And sit she did, her arms folded under her chest as she nodded. "I am yours to do with as you see fit. I just want him dead and the family to be able to roam free without fear of retribution." A small sigh, it was about to get deep and fast.

"What do you have in mind for the first step to doing that?"

"The first step for you, Lorelei, is to sleep," Ainsley said reaching out and fluidly running her hand across the girl's brow. Under the mere touch of Ainsley's fingertips, Lorelei would feel her eyelids growing heavy, weighted down by an overwhelming need to sleep. And as the younger witch would sprawl out across the couch, Ainsley could take advantage of working with a subject that was much more quiet and willing to undergo transformation. The unconscious were always easier to work with.

Changing a body from one species to another was something of a greater feat; Ainsley had not performed that ritual in such a long time. In her time, she had mastered changing humans to demons, demons to undead, and a great many other number of combinations. But so many years later, she was unsure if that would be successful now. Ainsley was a great witch, perhaps one of the finest the Redmont family had ever seen, but she was willing to admit not everything had been restored to her upon resurrection.

Nevertheless, Lorelei's new look would be mostly an easy one. She was remaining human, but only changing appearance. The body which Ainsley had envisioned was one that she hoped (and had some faith) would throw Lumine off. At least she hoped it would give them enough time that the Redmonts could gain some upper hand with Lorelei's possible position in the Alerian Government. All that needed to be done was to gain the trust of the Alerian citizens and win the campaign for Minister of Defense.

Ainsley knelt on the floor next to the couch alongside Lorelei's now sleeping form. The Witch titled her head for a moment inspecting and committing to memory Lorelei's form. She would need that memory if Lorelei ever wanted to get changed back, and Ainsley assumed she would. Ainsley's eyelids drew closed over her indigo colored eyes. Her lips pursed together and her forehead wrinkled as she summoned ancient words from her memory that had been buried long ago. The words came to her then, retreating from that hidden place in her mind, her lips uncurling as words flowed musically from them.

At first when she spoke, Ainsley kept her hands positioned below Lorelei. Her palms were turned upwards and though they were for the most part still, a faint blue light pulsated in them gathering energy. Every now and then, Ainsley would twist her hands back and forth almost in a figure eight motion, the light swirling in the air and around her fingers with each movement.

The witch had started to rise, pushing up from her feet very slowly. Her fingers suddenly bent into a hook shape like she had grabbed onto something and started to pull. Though nothing visible was there at the start, a red and misty object started to take form. Ainsley's back straightened out and as she elevated to into a standing position, a shadowy ghost of what was once Lorelei was removed from the girl. The Redmont Witch gathered Lorelei's spirit like a stringed puppet and moved it higher away, the ancient words becoming louder. On tip toes, Ainsley now stood with her back arched as if she were praying to the ceiling. Her arms moved more wildly now, shaping Lorelei's essence into something different. Her wrists and hands danced easily to music only she could hear. Lorelei had become clay, and Ainsley the sculptor.

Faster Ainsley's words flowed from her until finally, all at once, they stopped as if a hand had been squeezed around Ainsley's vocal cords. The Witch's hands dropped and with it fell Lorelei's spirit back into her limp body. When the body and soul had crashed back together, a splash of crimson dust sparked into the air. Lorelei's form began to shake with convulsions from the merger. Her body was bitterly adjusting to the new life Ainsley had created for her.

Slow and shaking, the young Redmont's body began to change. Lorelei became taller at first, her body growing elongated. Her shoulders then became rigid followed by a smoothing of womanly curves into straight lines. And when Lorelei would awaken at the end of her transformation, she would find herself not in the body of a youthful woman she once knew, but in the body of a man.
