For the first night in a week he'd actually been having a pretty decent nights sleep. He hadn't run into anyone in the house so he decided to take the free time he had to maybe catch up on some rest. The only thing was he hadn't went to his bedroom, instead he went into his spell working room. After all, if it was magic that was the cause of his nightly "visions" than this was the best place to shield himself. The dreams he'd been having as of late were enough to wake him up every time, and even when he was awake he could swear he heard that same woman's voice in the back of his mind. Who was she? What did she want? It wasn't uncommon for an incubus to dream about the opposite sex, kind of their minds way of keeping them forever wanting of their energy source. This was different thought. The presence in his dream wasn't something created by his mind--it felt vivid, it felt real, and he'd been doing all he could to figure out just what the hell was going on. Tonight though he'd been thankful to just get some uninterrupted sleep; uninterrupted at least until the fairy came over him and started flickering brightly, gently flying down to push at his face along with, the sound of banging doors. Figures.

"..Wha..what the hell? Oh for the love of..really?"

Looking up at the pixie he sighed softly before sliding his legs out of bed and heading out of it. Damn the floor was cold--nothing that a nice dose of nicotine couldn't fix. Once he slid a cigarette out of his case and lit it on the candle atop the night stand, he threw on the pair of faded dark brown leather pants that were hanging on the back of the chair and headed out of the room. The first face he saw was Kisa, stomping down the hall and shouting.

"Hey kitten, what's wro.."

Like a scripted scene from a movie he then heard Sadia yelling, and that caused him to roll his eyes before heading down that side of the hallway. What the hell was going on tonight? Was everyone having some kind of massive, collective psychotic episode? He'd heard of things like that before--maybe it was something in the water. Whatever the case may be he moved to Sadia's room and pushed open the door.

"Ok. Sadia, what the hell is go.."

Alright, mental checklist time. Naked and wet sister kissing the cat-kin in her bed. Partially wet, tired looking male beneath his sister. Maybe in most households the first reaction would be surprise, then embarrassment, and possibly an apology. Being an incubus though meant that he didn't look at sex in the same way as everyone else, so when his eyes took in what was infront of him he took a drag off his cigarette and leaned against the door-jam.

"Sorry to throw off your rhythm but I got Kisa screaming her head off and I got you yelling like someone just set you on fire--now--"

Since Kisa was behind him he eased out his free arm, softly grabbing that spot in the back of her neck like one would a kitten to relax it. Slowly easing her forward he brought her next to him. So what if she saw Sadia naked? Living in close quarters like this, and being the type of family they were, seeing people nude was just the way things went. He'd become used to it, and those who weren't would eventually adapt. Now with the sidhe beside him he softly rubbed at the back of her neck, trying to calm her down as he continued speaking.

"..what's going on? Wait a minute..don't answer that"

Suddenly it was as if he felt something. A familiar twinge of recognition hitting him right in his core as he took another step into the room. As he took in a deep breath he noticed something else too--there was no scent of sex, but there was an incredible energy signature left behind. Not energy coming in, but energy going out--someone had been draining in here, and he knew instantly that it wasn't Sadia. At that moment his attention turned to Revon.

"He's been tapped...someone's been draining in dreamscape."

A glance was sent to Sadia and then Kisa. No incubus that'd reached adulthood could miss the tell-tale signs of the presence of one of their own. Sadia hadn't been the one to take the cat-kin's energy, and he felt no other physical presence having been in the room. The only other explanation was that a fellow demon had been trying to seduce the young man through his dreams. Now that he stood a few feet inside the room he again looked at Revon, still unsure as to what the "familiarity" he felt in the energy strand left behind meant. He knew he knew it, he just wasn't sure how as of yet. But, if this person was able to get into the cat-kin's dreams, maybe it was the same person who'd been showing up in his. Taking a drag off his cigarette, he dabbed the ashes off and they seemed to just disappear in mid air.

"Ok, family meeting time. I'll go wake the others and bring them down, the rest of you meet me in the common room downstairs. There's a few things we've got to discuss..."

Glancing again to Revon he smirked a bit.

"..and someone should help him. Last thing we need is him passing out because of some kind of sex coma..."

Turning to leave the room he finished with;

"..no sex related injuries after midnight. House rules."

She had thought Antonio still meeting with King Alerion but apparently she had been out later than she had anticipated and Mustardseed was able to find him in record time. How the golden glowing pixie had managed to get into his spelling room was something he would no doubt question later, but for now she was able to rouse him and bring him to her Mistress who was making her way out of her private chambers and raising nine kinds of hell. It had only been ten minutes, maybe fifteen, since she had sent the pixie after Antonio but she had already worked herself up into a fine fettle.

She heard him moments before she saw him, small tendrils of green flame licking across her fingertips as she turned suddenly towards his voice, her lips already poised to launch into a an explanation of just what exactly was wrong with her when the fatigue lingering in his face gave her pause.

”Nio..are you..”

Her question was cut abruptly short as a shout coming from Sadia’s suite of rooms that sat down the hall from their own caught their attention. Automatically Antonio changed his course of direction and headed towards Sadia’s door. Falling into step behind him she silently fumed, glittering green cat’s eyes glaring at his back as he opened Sadia’s door. Pacing in agitation she paid very little attention to what was going on, if it had been life threatening Antonio would not have paused as he had and she was ready for him to return his attention to her so she could tell him ~her~ problem.

The hand came out of no where! One minute she was pacing behind him, her agitation such that an onlooker could almost envision an imaginary tail flicking in annoyance behind her, the next minute a strong grip held her at the nape of her neck, it’s gentle but firm hold on her guiding her into Sadia’s room and to Antonio’s side. Her shoulders hunched instinctively as she shuffled to his side before finally relaxing, his grip having softened until he was gently rubbing her neck. Eventually she stopped her glowering and turned her attention towards the other occupants of the room only to be greeted with Sadia’s wet naked ass on top of an equally naked Revon. Eyes flared wide before her arms were thrown up dramatically in front of her as if warding off evil.

”Ach…I’m blind!”

No sooner had she announced a case of hysterical blindness at the sudden sight of her sister’s bare ass than Antonio was announcing that Revon had been tapped by another demon. That pronouncement drew her up short, her arms falling as she looked quizzically at Antonio. When he met her gaze she shrugged slightly, having nothing really helpful to offer anyone. He and Sadia had an ability she didn’t and while she could sense the incubi/succubi race simply because of her close association with them, she couldn’t sense the energy on the level she could. She would have had no idea Revon was being siphoned unless she had been trying to find it and had known what to look for. If Antonio said Revon had been siphoned, she believed him. And frankly, something had to have happened to have gotten Sadia so upset.

”Whatever is goin’ on, it involves stealin’ too. My new pendant is missing.”

Her glowing green eyes met Antonio’s as he turned to leave Sadia’s room, the underlying upset over it being the pendant he had given her explaining the intense level of anger she had been displaying beyond that of someone who’s room had been gone through. He had decided a family meeting was in order and she agreed whole heartedly, fully intending to suggest a search of all the servants quarters and belongings as well, but before he could fully depart Sadia’s room she caught his arm, turning to join him in the door way.

”I think ye’re Father is still with Maddie…he took her into his study earlier today to tell her about Sabina and…everything.”

As always her accent turned more brogue when she was upset, her voice falling short of directly mentioning that Morlis was speaking to Madalina of their mother. He hadn’t really spoken of it since the night they had found everything out and she didn’t want to push if he wasn’t ready to discuss it. Or, if he didn’t wish to discuss it with ~her~. He may not have spoken to her of it because he had already spoken to Rain. Pushing such unhelpful thoughts away she met his gaze, her hand still resting on his arm.

”Neither of them have come out yet…should we bother them?”

He knew his father and sister best and she also knew Lord Morlis should know what was going on in his household, but knowing how unusual Madalina’s behavior had been as of late, there was no telling what Antonio would be walking in on. Abruptly her gaze shifted to the side to note the still nekkid Sadia and Revon.

”I imagine you want to get dressed, yeah? Uh, yeah, you do that. We’ll meet you downstairs.”

Moving towards the door with Antonio she couldn’t help sending her gaze back over her shoulder towards Revon, the proclaimed cat-kin. She had no reason not to believe him when he claimed to be cat-kin but something…she just wasn’t convinced.

A scream of rage echoed through the demoness’ chambers as she was abruptly torn from the dreamscape of the male feline in Sadia’s bed, the man she now knew as Revon. Dark eyes blazed with the red of hell’s fires as her eyes snapped open, frustration coursing though her at just how bad (in her opinion) Sadia’s timing had been. She’d almost had him! Not only had the male feline responded instantly to her suggestions within the dreams it had made him even more…virile…if you will. She had sensed the anger coursing through him at her taunts and was just beginning to enjoy the feast he was providing her in his dreamscape when Nimue’s whelp had awoken him though to her credit, it had taken Sadia some doing to wake him up. She had kept her control on the young man as tight as she could but let’s face it, water will always wake a feline up.

Sadia’s alarm had made it through to Revon’s subconscious so she knew the girl was afraid, that she knew something unusual was going on, and that put Desiree into a very precarious position. Sitting up in the bed black silk whispered around her lush figure as she swung her legs over the side and moved across the room, already contemplating damage control for the situation. It would be easy enough for them to figure out what was going on, that a demon had been draining Revon, any of the demons in the household would sense the drain signature, and that was the problem. In time they would no doubt trace it back to her which meant she needed to step up her plans in light of this new development.

Antonio had thus far proven difficult, taking measures to block her from his sleep with wards that were far stronger than she had anticipated. Obviously her son’s sense of ambition had taken him farther than she had ever considered, of course she rarely thought about her children and that might have something to do with it, but naturally such details escaped the self centered woman’s notice.

It was time to step up her plans for Antonio. If she could not reach him in his sleep she would seek him out in person but that would have to wait until the opportune time and until then she would continue to attempt to reach him through his dreamscape. She needed to amp up her attacks on the rest of the family but the damn people never slept! Her own daughter, Madalina, had been utterly unreachable in the realm of dreams thus far and she could only speculate on what was going on in the house. She needed a way to find out just what was going on in the household. Perhaps it was time to bribe another servant..

She had begun pacing the confines of her bedchamber as she plotted her next course of action and soon came to the conclusion that simply working through their dreams would not be enough. It would take far too long and the more she stepped into their dreams, the bigger chance they would trace it back to her. She needed something in addition to it…something that would hit them in the real world. Then it hit her…

Poison. Laughter accompanied her steps towards the desk in the corner of her room. Already the various possibilities were running through her head as she sorted through the knowledge amassed over the centuries on the various species though she need only know how to poison two particular species…Fae/Sidhe and Succubus/Incubus. The demons were easy; she knew exactly what would kill her so she knew what would kill them. It was the little faery bitches that would be more difficult. Especially Sadia and, if she ever found the little whore, Sabina. Their blood was mixed, fae and succubus, and the last thing she wished was for one half of their heritage to protect them from the poison inflicted on the other half.

Sitting behind the desk she began to rifle through the parchment and books that had been stacked off to the side. Her research into the sidhe and faery races had begun years ago when she had concocted the spell to steal Nimue’s memories, their memories and dreams being far harder to toy with, and she recalled reading something somewhere....ah, yes! There it was! With a crow of delight she withdrew a slender book bound in leather and coated with a layer of dust which merrily kicked up into the air around her as she opened the book and began to rifle through the pages.

Half way through she stopped, her right index finger poised over a short passage on the page before her. Iron. Iron was lethal to the fae which would take care of Kisa without a problem. Sadia, however…hers would require a mixture of some sort..a compound that would attack both halves of her heritage at the same time.

Now she knew she would need someone on the inside. Killing them quickly simply wouldn’t do, it was painless, over in an instant…and she definitely wanted them to suffer. That meant gradual poisoning over time and that meant she needed someone in their kitchens which meant one of their currant cooks was going to meet an untimely end.

”Patricia! Come here you useless girl! You can cook..right?”

It was hard for Sadia to switch back and forth from angry to worried then back to angry then on to relieved all in the same moment. She was angry that someone that wasn't her had dream-sexed Revon, worried that it would happen again and if Revon was alright, then angry again that something like this had happened to her lover, and, finally, relieved that she had finally gotten him to wake up. But all of these thoughts were not so prettily lined up as they seem in writing. Her heart was thudding heavily in her chest and her feet stung from the broken glass that she'd inadvertently stepped on while trying to shake and splash her Cat-kin awake. He would no doubt smell the blood, no matter how little there was -- the cuts weren't major, but there was enough blood to make for a few spots on her sheets. However, her minor injuries weren't at the forefront of her mind -- she knew that something was up and that that something was entirely serious.

"S..sex with me, huh?" Sadia hadn't at all entered Revon's dreamscape; she hadn't even thought about it. Taking a deep breath, she took his hands in her own and held onto them firmly -- not so tight that it would hurt the sleepy and energy-deprived being, but tightly enough to show her concern. "I was in the bathtub, obviously. As I'm all.. sopping wet and everything. I jumped out as soon as I heard you mumbling and thrashing around, then the glass--" Before she could finish, Antonio had burst into her room, already asking questions.

"Gods DAMN you, 'tonio!" Sadia yelped, covering up as best she could, leaving Revon with little to no covering at all. And of course, right after Antonio, there was Kisa being a Drama Kitty. "Oh, shut up. You wish you looked this good naked." Even though it was fairly normal for one sibling to barge in on another that was naked or worse, Sadia never quite got used to it and probably wouldn't ever be used to her brother barging in on her. "Next time, it would be REALLY awesome if you knocked." But, Antonio wasn't listening -- neither was Kisa. They'd picked up the lack of energy in Revon just as quickly as she had. Once Revon told her that he'd been dream-sexing her, she knew that something was entirely off and she wanted and needed for that to stop double-quick.

At least she didn't have to tell them what had happened, right? That was the good thing. After Kisa and Antonio got their whiff of the energy signature, they went about their business -- but not before 'tonio called for a family meeting and Kisa gave Revon a strange, almost hostile look. Sadia narrowed her eyes at Kisa for this -- what right did she have to look at Revon that way? Instinctively, she cuddled up next to her kitty to "protect" him from Kisa's hard look. Sadia didn't like it -- but that was far from important. Once her siblings had gone and closed the door, the completely frazzled half-fae looked at the drained Cat-kin and smiled weakly. "I tried shakin' ya. Y'wouldn't come to. So.. I used the only thing I knew would work. Water."

Her voice was gentle, but her eyes betrayed what she was really feeling: scared. With Revon being tapped, he couldn't have woken up and taken her pendant, so it had to have been someone else. A maid, maybe, that was hard for money? Nah. They were always paid well. Unless... they were paid to do it. But why would someone want her pendant? Shaking her pretty blond head, she smiled back at Revon and kissed him on the cheek before sliding toward the edge of the bed. "C'mon, kitty. Family meet-- oww." Once her feet were on the floor, she noticed how sensitive her feet were and how they were probably going to be that way for a few hours at least. "Stepped on some of that glass from the thing you knocked off the night stand. Stings!" She laughed good naturedly and half-limped back into the bathroom, leaving blood spots trailing behind her and Revon sitting on the bed.

The woman was terrible at comforting anyone, and she was even more terrible at showing how much she really cared. Showing how much she cared was a quick way to let someone know that they could hurt her without really even trying, so keeping her lover at a distance kept her from ever feeling heartbroken. Too bad she actually really wanted, more than anything, just to let Revon in.

DOES THIS FAMILY HAVE NO GODDAMN SHAME Privacy. That was a word that didn't really seem to exist in this household. Whatever. It usually worked for Revon, who was used to living in a free space. Still. Being awoken so abruptly, then having a smartass incubus and a chick who always seemed to be bleeding from the vag walk in on him didn't exactly make him comfortable, but he could deal with that. What he couldn't deal with was the incredible feeling of weakness that echoed through his body.

He had had sex with Sadia before, and she had drained his energy... but never like this. His body ached, his mind was scattered, he felt completely exhausted in a way he wasn't even sure how to explain. He smelled the blood on her feet before she even mentioned it, and he gave her a questioning look. As he was about to offer to help clean up her feet, something the incubus said caught his attention. Tapped?

He raised his head wearily to look at Antonio, and his piercing blue's met the demon's. He didn't like what he saw in them, or in the woman standing next to him. While Antonio's was a look of thought, her's was a look he took as hateful. He returned the look, and opened his mouth to reveal his pointed canines. The hell is her problem... As he felt Sadia cuddle closer to him, he smiled. What a change from the girl who had left him alone in his bed. Now she cared. It was a welcome change.

The entire proceedings in the bedroom seemed to rush by Revon, his thoughts were slow and groggy. When the two had gone, his mind started to return, and he tried to make sense of the things that had happened. Okay. Fell asleep last night...Heh. Last night. Woke up this morning with a shower...tired...exhausted...lost..and my lover's feet are bleeding. Well. Since I don't know what the hell to do about me...

He stepped out of bed, and nearly fell to the ground in the process. He caught himself on the nightstand and slowly made his way to the bathroom. When he arrived he spied Sadia's feet and felt a wave of protectiveness come over him. He went over to Sadia and hugged her with all the strength he could. "Hey love, let me take care of that." Searching through the cabinets for some bandages he slipped in a puddle that was a remnant of the succubus's bath. This time he couldnt catch himself, and found his face newly acquainted with the ground. I FUCKING HATE WATER were his only thoughts as he hit the floor.

His day had been spent enclosed in his work private chambers with Madalina, not even Tessa, his outgoing little imp, daring to breach his sanctuary while with his daughter. They had a lot of talking to do; about her birth mother and the appearance of another sister not to mention her recent actions against Alidia which he took as a sign that he needed to spend more time with his children, especially his eldest daughter. Something was going on with her and he had yet to determine just what was bothering her, after the day they spent together he began to wonder if she even knew or if she was just that good at hiding what she felt.

At the end of the day he was still unsure of how she felt about the current state of affairs, the matter concerning Sabina and Desiree especially, but he had done all he could for now. It was getting late and though she kept her own counsel for the most part he could see the day was beginning to wear upon her. Realizing they would both need to “feed” before the day was over he decided to end their hear to heart for now and escorting her to her suite in the same wing as his other children he had just kissed her good night with the promise they would speak the next day and closed the door firmly behind him as he exited her suite when he heard the commotion coming from the other end of the wing.

He wished only to return to his private chambers and summon Tessa but he could not retire until he discovered just what had caused such a commotion in his household, especially when said commotion quite obviously concerned his other children. He had just rounded the corner when Antonio exited his suite and confronted the screeching feline only to be side tracked by more shouting coming from his Sadia’s chambers. What now, he wondered as he watched the scene unfold before him, preferring to have some idea of what was going on before interjecting himself into the affair. If it was personal business he would be on his way and would gladly leave it to Antonio to deal with his irate woman. Though given the shouts coming from Sadia’s room, and the flurry of voices and activity that followed Antonio’s sudden appearance in Sadia’s room, he doubted he would be so fortunate.

Demonic hearing is a lovely thing and given that no one in their household had any delusions about what demons of their sort did there was no need to soundproof anyone’s rooms, the sounds of passion and pleasure was standard background noise to the day to day activities of the villa. He knew Sadia was not alone in her chambers, knew quite well that she had installed a man in her quarters, but he trusted his daughter and did not worry about the gentleman though he would need to make a point of meeting him in person soon, hopefully an event wherein one of them was not naked.

He listened to them speaking, heard Kisa mention her missing pendant, heard Sadia explain what had happen, Antonio’s voice declaring Revon had been tapped and demanding a family meeting only to be followed by Kisa’s gentle voice wondering if they should disturb his time with Madalina. Deciding he had heard enough he appeared around the corner of the hallway and slowly made his way towards Sadia’s door, suddenly appearing just behind Antonio and Kisa.

”I believe tomorrow would be a better time for such things, my son. Your sister Madalina is much distressed by the news of your mother and Sabina and it is obvious that your feline here is quite upset not to mention that your sister and her young man are hardly dressed for such a meeting. He will also need to rest after what he has just suffered.”

Stepping by Antonio and Kisa he averted his gaze so that he was not staring at his daughter and her man in all their nekkid glory as he spoke, ”I bid the two of you good evening. Rest for tonight, we will discuss this all tomorrow when we are all a bit fresher.” Pulling the door closed behind him he left Sadia and Revon to their own devices for the evening.

Once again facing Antonio and Kisa he met the agitated feline’s stare and smiled at her obvious desire to start searching the house for her missing pendant, unhappy with the decision to wait until tomorrow. Wishing to place her mind at ease while hopefully gaining a more peaceful night for his son and himself he was quick to assure her, ”Do not fret my sweet kitten, I shall have every servant and their quarters searched by the time the night is over. If your pendant is in this house, we will find it for you.”

Looking to Antonio he could see his concern in his eyes, his eldest, his heir, he knew how Antonio worried for the family’s well being, always being the first to step in to protect his sisters should the need arise. He could tell his son wanted to act, to do ~something~ in response to the obvious threat, but he could also see the weariness in his face and realized that his son was also being drained somehow.

”Tomorrow my son, I promise you we will all meet tomorrow. Hopefully Madalina will be able to join us but given her current moods I simply do not know if she will feel up to it. We will get to the bottom of all of this, I promise.”

His hand rose to clasp against his son’s shoulder in a gesture he hoped was comforting but he was beginning to have doubts about this whole situation himself, something he would never let his children see.

”Get some rest, Nio, you look tired.”

With that he left his son to his woman for the night, knowing the feline would care for his son and see to it that he rested to the best of her ability, after exhausting him into sleep no doubt. That thought had a smile coming to his lips as his mind turned towards the woman who he hoped would be exhausting him into sleep and stopping long enough to order a thorough search of all the servants, their rooms, and belongings he quickly returned to his private chambers. His smile widened to see the very woman who called to him already reclining nude on his bed, her arms opening for him the moment he walked in.

He gladly joined her, sinking into the comfort and respite her body offered until much later he fell asleep with a very satisfied Tessa coiled around his body. Tomorrow…he would figure everything out tomorrow.

When he was turning there was a sudden -thud- coming from inside his sisters room. He caught Revon biting the wood and winced a bit. That just looked painful. Maybe he would've said something--if his father didn't just -appear- like a frigging ghost. Already being in mid turn meant he didn't see Morlis until -bam-, there he was. Since he'd been taking a drag off his cigarette he sputtered on the smoke a bit as his eyes widened.

"JESUS CHRIST! Dad..what the..wear a god-damn bell or something!"

The moment was a little tense and his mind was off trying to figure things out, and then -poof- there's a spectral italian demon just -there-, staring. He had to laugh about it as Morlis started talking, listening to the perspective of his father while he just smoked his cigarette and kept his free hand at the back of Kisa's neck. While Morlis regarded the situation Antonio noticed Rain leaning out of the doorway of he and Kisa's suite. Smiling to her he used the fingers not holding his cigarette to wave at her. She smiled back at him and for a moment he didn't hear his father speaking directly to him. It wasn't until there was a hand on his shoulder that he snapped his attention back from his women, to the matter at hand. What? Meeting tomorrow? Sure..fine.

"Tomorrow's fine. It'll give everyone a chance to think things over anyway.."

He'd felt Kisa tense up when he smiled to Rain, and in immediate response his fingers tightened softly around the back of her neck and began to affectionately massage the muscles beneath her smooth skin. Just because he showed attention to Rain didn't mean he ever forgot about her, and sooner or later she'd realize that Rain shared his bed..but -she- was always the one standing next to him. He wouldn't have it any other way. While comforting her he looked back to his father just in time to be told he looked tired. God..how many times had people said that to him? All through school and the majority of his endeavors he pushed himself hard--sometimes too hard. As always though he just smiled, shaking his head.

"Don't worry about me old man, I've got plenty. There'll be a lot of time to rest after all this is figured out. Whatever's causing this isn't going to take time off, neither am I."

Taking one last drag off his cigarette he flicked it into the air. With a slight gesture of his hand the smoldering end seemed to just disappear in a small puff of flame and smoke. Now with his hand free he reached out and patted his father on the arm as he smiled to him and turned to head back to his room. Just as he turned with Kisa and entered the doorway, he called out behind him.

"Seriously..a bell. Look into it!"

As he entered the room he leaned in to kiss Kisa's neck and gently slide his fingers from her skin. The doors were taken in his hands behind him and he pulled them closed, leaning back against them as the lock -clicked-

"So, the meeting's been put off until tomorrow..."

Shifting his eyes slowly from the sidhe at his side to the woman with rainbow hair standing nude at the foot of their bed, then back, he tilted his head and smiled softly.

"..what do we do until then?"

Her nerves were already stretched to the breaking point, her anger at the missing pendant still simmering just beneath the surface though with her distraction by her sister and Revon and the situation brewing with them it was left to simmer on the back burner. For the moment. That didn’t mean her nerves were any less frayed, however, all the stress and activity showing in the way her shoulders hunched beneath Antonio’s hand in spite of the comforting grip he kept on her neck. They were finally leaving the naked twins behind when they turned and were confronted by the sudden appearance of Morlis.

She might have been fine with his ninja-like appearance if it had not been for Antonio’s sudden outburst, his raised voice along with the startling presence of the Lord of the family eliciting a jump along with a faint hissing. A hissing she quickly suppressed when she realized it was in fact Lord Morlis she was hissing at.

She remained silent as he began speaking, the door finally closing on Sadia and Revon so they might have a little privacy to discuss the night’s events or get busy, whichever struck their fancy, either way she no longer had to stare at bare ass. That was a plus. It was then that she noticed Rain’s appearance in the doorway leading to Antonio’s suite and though she forced a small smile to her lips for the girl’s benefit her entire being still tensed the moment he waved at Rain, a tension he sensed easily beneath his hand at the base of her neck. She could feel his fingers working at the knots of tension just beneath the skin and while usually his touch could lull her into any mood he wished tonight it was not having the desired effect and she forcefully turned her attention from Rain to Morlis lest her smile slip and she reveal more of her feelings than she wished too.

She turned her attention back to Morlis just in time to hear him state they should meet tomorrow instead, her lips parting to offer a rebuttal to his logic before he had even finished speaking. Tomorrow would be too late! By tomorrow her pendant could be long gone, sold to the highest bidder, especially now. It wasn’t as though the servants wouldn’t have heard about all the commotion going on. The thief would know he had to get out quick. He must have anticipated her protests, however, as he was just as quick to assure her he would see to an immediate search of the servant’s quarters and possessions. Somewhat mollified she bit back her protests and offered him a grateful smile. He was being quite indulgent of her considering the family had recently found out she was the gossip maven spreading around all of their exploits and she wasn’t about to push her luck or possibly wear out her welcome.

Morlis departed for his own wing in the villa and Antonio guided her towards his room, her steps slow at his side as she contemplated the evening’s events, still very unsettled that someone was in her room. Entering the room she heard the door close behind them, Antonio’s lips near her neck sending a shiver down her spine as he contemplated what they would do to pass the time. She knew exactly the promises his voice held and she longed to melt against him, her body even swaying slightly towards his. Until he looked at Rain. Her gaze followed his to the nude girl and she went still, her eyes fixed on Rain’s though luckily her face was hidden by the riotous fall of golden blonde locks streaked unusually with purple and black to match the torn and sleeveless Sex Pistols t-shirt she still wore.

Suddenly she was very aware of the differences between them. Rain was flawless, created through magic to be perfect and she was perfect, she’d heard Antonio say so several times, and she herself did not deny an attraction to the creation. She’d shared their bed with Rain on more then one occasion, enjoying her body as well as Antonio’s. Tearing her eyes away from Rain she looked down at herself, her back still to Antonio as she let the fact she was still wearing the torn jeans and purple and green boots along with the t-shirt advertising the Earth punk band she had listened to once upon a time and suddenly she felt….inferior. Inferior to the embodiment of female perfection who happened to be her competition for the affection of the man standing behind her and suddenly she knew she couldn’t share his bed with them, not this time.

”Actually, ‘Tonio..I think I’m going to go change. I need to get out of these clothes and gather the pixies; gods only know where they’ve gotten off too,” her voice was light, no hint of her true feelings beneath the brogue that had thickened her voice, an indication of her agitation regardless of how her tone sounded.

Turning to face Antonio she smiled, her right hand coming up to cup his cheek as she leaned up on tip toe and pressed a kiss to his lips. She didn’t want to leave his side, the way her body melded almost hungrily to his would reveal just how much she wanted him, and if he pressed it, tried to seduce her in the least, she knew she would succumb. That was why she was quick to step back, the same smile pasted onto her lips.

”I’ll join ye later. Ye really should rest my love, I worry about ye,” her voice gentling as she spoke, her eyes finally meeting his to convey the concern she felt, though deep down, not all of it was about his lack of sleep. She was worried about a lot these days.

Turning before he could really stop her she moved through the doorway into her room and shut the door behind her. The moment she heard the door click she felt her heart constrict in her chest, unable to draw a deep breath as she stifled a sob against her hand. Forcing herself to pull it together she pushed it all down until she could control herself again, unsure how much of her emotional turmoil Antonio would be able to sense. He wasn’t empathic but she knew enough about incubi to know that they could often sense the women they knew intimately.

Going through the motions she entered the former bedroom's dressing room where she discarded the clothing and dropped them into the waiting basket, a bath quickly drawn in the sunken tub of her bathing chamber that opened off the dressing room. Sinking into the bath scented heavily with oils of peach and vanilla she let herself relax into the warmth, doing her best to discard the stress of the day.

That worked for maybe five minutes. Realizing she would get no respite here she quickly bathed and washed her hair and in a record half an hour she was sitting at her vanity applying cream to her face and lotion scented like the peaches and vanilla of her bath to her body before brushing her hair dry and dusting her skin with the sparkling gold honey dust once her skin was fully dry. Slipping a gossamer shift in a shade of soft dusky rose over her head she let it settle around her body, ending just above her knees, the straps of the shift leaving her shoulders practically bare.

She needed to talk to someone about her conflicting emotions and there was only one person she could think of. Her mother was rubbish in this matter, she would just tell her to leave Antonio. Her mother loved Antonio like a surrogate son, but she had been so emotionally battered by her own experience with Morlis that she was letting it cloud her judgment when it came to her daughter’s involvement with his son. There was only one person she could go too and entering her room she moved to the plush French style chaise lounge set in front of the fire. There was no bed in the room as it was not used as a bedroom any longer, but she had been known to doze off on the chaise lounge from time to time, a thick fur rug draped over the floor between the lounge and the fireplace, padding obviously present beneath the large rug. Cat-naps are awesome.

Settling into the overstuffed cradle provided by the back of the chaise she reached out to the small round side table at her right and let her fingers caress over the surface of the black scrying mirror that was propped up in a gilded frame, facing her. As her fingers skimmed over the surface she let images of her grandmother fill her mind as she reached out to her, trying to make contact through the dimensions that separated them.

”Grandmother…are you there? Are you available?”

No sooner had her words died off than the black reflective mirror in front of her began to mist over, the face of Morgaine Le Fey appearing in the glass once the mists had parted. A genuine smile curved her lips as her grandmother’s visage appeared and instantly she felt tears well up, the presence of her grandmother making her want to give in to the conflicting emotions in the presence of one she considered stronger than her. In other words, she wanted grandma to make it all better.

The women began speaking and after only a little urging Morgaine encouraged Kisa to open up about what was bothering her and before she knew it she was explaining about the situation with Antonio and Rain, what Rain was exactly and Antonio’s part in making her, how it was his magic that made her and bound her to him, how it was that very bond that threatened the feline more than anything. She also revealed to her Grandmother her own mother’s encouragement that she part from Antonio. Morgaine listened to her granddaughter pour her heart out in silence, knowing Kisa must release everything she carried before commenting. Finally Kisa went silent and she felt free to speak, her otherworldly voice almost eerie as it floated from the mirror.

”First my dear, I must insist you not listen to your mother on this matter. I love my daughter dearly but her judgment is clouded in this. Unfortunately her morals more often reflect those of the human race given her previous life and not those of the fae races. Very few fae are monogamous my child, you know this as well as I do, but ‘tis something your mother never quite embraced. Everyone, fae or human, must decide for themselves, but unfortunately your mother seeks to protect you by imposing her views upon you. She loves you and yes, she loves Antonio. Many a time she has lamented to me that he was not hers instead and perhaps that contributes to her issues, but truly, we both know why she feels as she does.”

Kisa had listened silently to her grandmother, her head nodding in agreement after almost every point she made. Leaning forward she drew her knees up slightly to rest her arms upon, the action causing the shift she wore to ride up on her thighs. When Morgaine fell silent Kisa was slow to respond, choosing her words carefully as she tried to make sense of how she felt.

”It isn’t the sex, Grandmother. I don’t mind that he wishes to bed her, she is beautiful. I’ve been with her myself. I know sex isn’t love and I managed to share Maniac without a problem. What eventually bothered me was being the second fiddle in the equation. I know I’m not, not now, but one day…I could be. She’s a part of him, literally, he created her with his magic.”

As she spoke her voice had grown softer and softer until she was practically whispering, her head lowering so that her hair fell to frame her face, the position further muffling her voice to any but the woman in the black mirror.

”In the end…I’ll never be able to match that. They have a bond I won’t ever have with him, ever. But..I love him. I’ll accept whatever I need too.”

Her deepest fear was finally voiced but in a tone so faint, so soft, that if not for the preternatural nature of the communication between the two women, not even her grandmother would have heard her. They spoke for a while longer, Morgaine offering what advice she could though ultimately it boiled down to Kisa’s need to tell Antonio how she felt and right now she just couldn’t. If she made too much of a fuss she might lose everything anyway.

”It’s late my dear, I wish you to get some rest and think about what I have said about speaking to Antonio. It may not be as you believe, Kisa, there are bonds that can rival that which he shares with the creation. But now, sleep. Your season is nearly upon you and your emotions will be running high already. You will need your rest. There are other developments we must speak of later, but not until tomorrow.”

Kisa leaned back in the chaise until she was nestled into the cradle of the back, her knees drawing up as she pulled a soft lap blanket over her legs, the fire from the hearth flickering over her already shimmering skin.

”Good night Grandmother. Give my love to Grandpa Merlin. Thank you…for everything.”

The image of her grandmother fading the feline turned towards the side of the chaise that faced the fire, her legs drawing up as she curled up beneath the silk lap blanket, nestling into the cozy warmth. She wanted to get up and go back to Antonio’s bedroom, she wanted to be able to accept Rain’s presence without inhibition and she did, in a manner of speaking. She wanted Rain to have someone who took care of her, who saw to her needs and protected her, she deserved it after her past, but deep down she couldn’t help but ask Fate….did it have to be Antonio?

Alright--what just happened? Was he shot down? Wait--he was--for PIXIES?! A quick kiss, a warming press of her body and then--the sound of the door closing behind her. He smiled as she spoke, just nodding his head as he listened. Once she left though he couldn't help feeling like something about that whole moment was strange. Being made to wait wasn't something he ever wanted but he would accept it when necessary, like if there was a personal matter coming between him and what he wanted. But pixies--that just stung a bit. With Kisa having just left he turned his eyes to Rain and smiled. Looking at her, every demonic impulse told him to accept Kisa's departure and focus all his wanton attention on the girl in front of him. But then there was the part of him that had more mortal sensibilities; it didn't seem right somehow, not with the unsettling feeling he had in him.

Walking over to Rain he brought his fingers up to run them over her cheek. A soft smile on his lips, he leaned in and kissed her, parting from her lips only to speak across them.

"Lay down and get some sleep, beautiful. I'll be back soon. There's a few things I need to check up on before I lay down for the night."

As he turned from her his eyes finally broke away from her figure, almost like he had to literally -tear- them away. Damnit why did he have moments like this? With all the time and efforts he took to make sure everything would be alright--and yet things weren't alright. Somehow he'd missed something, or hadn't paid enough attention to a particular detail. Whatever the case he closed the door to his suite behind him and began to head down the hallway. He planned on heading to the kitchen and having a few drinks, but as he passed the door to the room Kisa was in he couldn't help pausing. His eyes glanced to the door and he thought about her, wondering if maybe he should step inside and check on her.

About half an hour later he was--still standing outside her door. All this thought about whether or not he should say something to her, and yet he couldn't think of a single word to say. How do you approach a situation like this? He'd never hidden the fact that she mattered most to him, but still she seemed to regard Rain like she was in competition with her. The two of them were never competing, not as far as he was concerned, and given his lot in life he'd always had an unspoken knowledge of women. Why now did he seem so at a loss for answers? But there he was, going over what he should say as he leaned against her door, when from inside the room he heard her voice.

Whatever he'd been thinking about suddenly vanished as all his attention was placed on Kisa's voice. Maybe it wasn't right to eaves drop but if anything she said helped him to better understand what the real problem was than he'd take the guilt. As she spoke he'd begun pacing, barefoot outside the door on the rug. Why on the rug? Because he didn't want to be caught. Wood creaked, rugs didn't. The first portion of what she'd said wasn't a surprise, he knew for a while now that while she may have been always smiling--she was never fully at ease where Rain was concerned. He'd done his best to reassure her but doubt was proving to be his greatest adversary. Then he heard Kisa say how her mother had warned her about him, and how she'd tell her just to leave him. His face contorted into an almost offended expression as he mouthed the words; --That's bullshit--.

The second voice he heard surprised him, but the surprise was short lived as he listened to the woman speak with some reason. He nodded in agreement with her--yes, don't listen to Nimue. He would've chimed in only he wasn't supposed to be there, so for the moment he remained a fly on the wall--or door as the case may be. There was a momentary silence between the two women before Kisa spoke again, and with every word he found himself having to move his ear closer and closer to the wood. It wasn't about the sex; ok good start. Don't mind that Rain shares their bed; again, great. What eventually bothered her was--was--DAMNIT, why did she have to whisper?!

He didn't hear another word. Oh sure he heard a faint mumble, knew they were in fact words, but had no idea what they were. It wasn't until the other woman spoke that he had any idea what was going on. The word bond came out and suddenly everything became clear to him. So it was the fact he'd created Rain that was the issue. The sidhe thought just because he'd made Rain that somehow he was closer to her. No, that wasn't true. He'd done his best to prove it wasn't true--hadn't he? As he thought to himself he heard the woman say her goodnights to Kisa, but then heard something completely unrelated but no less substancial. Give her love to grandpa--Merlin. Merlin? As in -thee- Merlin? It didn't take an educated person to know the name, but what it meant was the women she was talking to was--his eyes slowly widened. It occurred to him that he'd never really thought much about her origins outside of Nimue being her mother. Well now that was certainly something he would have to talk with her about in the future--right now though there were greater matters to handle.

Though he could walk in, what would he say? What could he offer other than the same reassurance he'd given before? Telling her that her fears weren't true wouldn't solve anything--it certainly hadn't yet. Still, he wanted to console her--to make her understand what she meant to him. Maybe tonight it wasn't about what he could say to her, but about what he could show her. So with a knock on the door he eased it open and slid inside. If she paid any attention to that feline nose of hers she'd notice that of all the scents on his skin--Rain wasn't one of them.

"Hey kitten, I was thinking..maybe tonight it could be just us. You and I, if that's ok with you."

Just because a snag had been hit didn't mean he was willing to give up on them--on her. Whatever difficulties there were he wouldn't let her just accept them. He would show her that the bond she seemed so worried about wasn't greater than what he shared with her. For the second time that night a door was heard closing behind him--hopefully it'd be the last until morning.

Very few of Desiree’s servants were with her by choice, many of them humans who had made foolish decisions and as such would pay the devil her due for the rest of their lives. Patricia was one such a person but Desiree’s hold on her was so tight, so absolute, that she held no concerns over sending the hapless girl into the Desiderio Villa. If she were killed for her part in Desiree’s scheme, so be it. An acceptable loss towards achieving her goal as far as she was concerned.

It was evening but not so late that Patricia was not sent by the cantankerous demoness to determine the state of affairs at the Desiderio Villa. She would need to replace a servant within the household and luckily she had struck up a casual friendship with the family’s cook, befriending the woman at the market where she saw her almost daily. Desiree was confident this association would be enough and in spite of the hour sent Patricia off to see what she could find out.

Possessed with almost a manic energy she again retired to her chambers and sitting at her desk her dark eyes passed over the book she had left open in front of her. She would need help with these poisons as much as she hated to admit it. Attacking all of them in their dreams simply wasn’t realistic, she was only one demon after all, she couldn’t appear in all of their dreams every night and frankly her prey was not being overly accommodating in the sleep department.

Staring at the vial of viscous red fluid tucked into the corner of her desk she debated using it, did she wish another person involved in all of this? Taking on partners meant taking on trouble, usually, though this one was usually easily controlled by her. Deciding she simply would not be successful without his assistance she clasped the bottle and without preamble she turned and threw it to the floor where it shattered, the fluid within emitting a vile green smoke that coiled up from the stain that now decorated the floor.

”Come on out Asmodeus, I won’t bite this time.”

In moments the cloud of vile green smoke began to grow, gaining volume until it billowed up from the floor and began to take the shape of a man. Poor Asmodeus. He had angered his mistress almost a century ago and as such his essence had been forced to reside, trapped, within the vial. A trick he himself had taught her, oh the irony.

It took a moment for the lower level demon to orient himself to his surroundings but when he saw her sitting at the desk, watching him with her usual calculating stare, he was quick to move and kneel at her feet, his head lowered in supplication. Gazing at his bowed head the demoness could only smirk, a century later and he was still a little worm. No matter, he had a knack for crafting the nastiest potions and poisons and would be invaluable to her now.

”Get up Asmodeus. We have far too much to do for you to spend your time groveling.”

Quickly she outlined what she was trying to do in Aleris, the family she was targeting, and she saw the flicker of surprise when he realized it was her ex-husband and his family they were targeting but he wisely remained silent.

”What I need you to focus on for now is a poison that will take down a cait sidhe and a fae/succubus hybrid, respectively. And I need it by tomorrow morning. You have about 10 hours.” No pressure.

Taking the stunned demon who still had not managed to get his bearings after almost a century in stasis to an empty room in the cottage she had rented she left him there to get started. Though he had no idea how he was going to produce such a thing by the next morning he knew he had damn well better deliver or a century of stasis would look like a vacation.

Upon returning to her chambers Desiree realized she had run out of plans to make. Patricia was off to make contact with the Villa to determine how she could establish herself there among the staff and Asmodeus was working on the potions she would need to end those little brats. Left with little to occupy her time until Patricia returned or Asmodeus had something for her she retired to her abandoned bed, reclining against the pillows as she let her mind continue to mull over the situation.

Antonio. She needed to get to Antonio. If she could win Antonio to her side that would utterly break his father. He had been so proud to have a son, so elated at Antonio’s birth, getting him to turn on his father, his family, would be ever so sweet. Glancing to the clock at her bedside she realized it had been several hours since she had been so rudely thrust from Revon’s dreams and it was entirely possible the household had settled for the night.

Her eyes fell closed and with a technique born of centuries of using dreams to manipulate people she slipped easily into a light beta state, enough to allow her consciousness to slip into the astral, into the world of dreams, to locate her son. It was easier with him than with any of the others just as it would most likely be easier with Madalina. They were blood of her blood and would be bound to her until one of them died.

He was asleep, good…very good. With a delicacy she reserved only for other dream walkers who might sense her presence she eased herself into her son’s dreamscape, allowing her consciousness time to settle in before making any moves lest he expunge her. This also allowed her to see exactly where his mind was at, as it were, before taking any action. With some disgust she realized he was dreaming about Kisa, his minds reenactment of their reconciliation over the concubine Antonio had taken making her want to gag with revulsion. How could he love this little twit?

Gently exerting her will over his dreamscape his image of Kisa would slowly fog over until she had vanished before his eyes completely, the dreamscape surrounding him becoming shrouded so all was obscured. From the fog would come her voice, distorted until it would not indicate a direction but instead seem to come from everywhere.

”Oh Antonio…why do you waste your time with one such as she? She is beneath you.”

From behind him she emerged, her arms sliding around his waist as she pressed herself suggestively to his back, molding her figure and all of her ample curves firmly to him. He had been a small child when she left and knew the odds of him remembering her would be slim and even if he did, she was a hellborn demon and moral issues were not really something she concerned herself with.

Loosening her grip just enough to move around his body which had tensed beneath her touch but had not moved she finally faced him, her arms still wrapped tightly around his waist, her body now pressed intimately to his front. Tilting her head back her dark eyes passed over his features, his face as stoic and unreadable as stone for the moment but he was still incredibly handsome. Dressed in his dreamscape as he had been while awake his torso had been left bare and with a sultry smile her head lowered to allow her to place several feather light kisses across his chest, her body sliding suggestively up his so she could flick her tongue against the skin of his neck.

”Why do you bind yourself for her? You should not have to deny what you are, to deny your source of power. It is selfish of her my Antonio, if she truly loved you she would accept what you needed, what you wished. Just look at her, she is no comparison for the other, the other is perfection personified. Why lower yourself to be with this mongrel?”

Every word was whispered in a tone of absolute seduction as her lips continued to press heated kisses to his neck, her tongue alternately flicking out to tease him as she rose up on her tip toes to give her added height and allow her to fit her body more intimately against his. As she spoke her hand had caressed down his back until she could grip his ass through his pants, her left knee rising to slide along the outside of his thigh until she could hook her leg over his hip.

Using the grip on his ass she pulled him tightly into her, their bodies meeting intimately with this new position, her hips moving suggestively against him as her teeth nipped gently at the flesh of his neck just beneath his ear.

”You do not have to live this way my Antonio. Come..find me…join me…and you will have all you ever desired, passion, power…more women than you have ever known will lay themselves at your feet.”

Her voice had gone quiet, husky, sultry, enticing, using all of her wiles to lure him to her side and leaning her head back she again let her gaze pass lustfully over his features before leaning forward to attempt to brush her lips against his.

”All you have ever wanted my Antonio rests in my arms…”
