Just a few quick updates.
Since we've finished a majority of the setting updates for now, we've created "Starting Point" threads for each continent. This is designed to give new players a place to begin their journey in Aleris. However, you by no means need to start on these threads at all. They are only there to help out. You can find each "Starting Point" stickied on the respective continent's forum:

GMs will happily respond to any posts on these threads to help get some story writing going. In the future, I would probably like to add more "Starting Points", so if anyone has any suggestions for places, or just suggestions for this in general, please feel free to let us know!
Secondly, as Al has already posted, we've started our first "Writing Challenge"! Take a look and join in if you'd like. I think these will be a lot of fun and if your character wins, they will receive gold, experience and maybe a surprise occasional item.
