If you haven't already noticed, the new forum layout is finally up! However, please consider this sort of "beta stage" as there are some sections that I haven't been able to test until the layout was online. I am sorry this took me much longer than expected, but it's finally here. The rest of the website will match up soon, most likely this weekend.
Somethings to note about the new layout:
- Most of the forum related links can be found to the right side of the layout now. I removed a lot of the clutter that was in the other forum layouts and placed them there. Here you can also access your user control panel, view the member list, search topics, etc.
- To jump up and down the page, there is a triangle shape on the top and bottom of the page. Using these will make you get to the bottom/top of the page faster.
- Large image sizes or signatures may stretch out the forum and make it look bad. If your signature or any images you may post are too big, I may temporarily edit/remove any images until I find a work around. For signatures, please make sure they are under 565 pixels in width. For large images, just link to them rather than using the image tag.
- Quick reply is now enabled at the end of every forum thread. You can also still use the full editor of course.
- You can still switch back to the subsilver or prosilver forum styles if you wish, but the older "GuildWarsAlliance" style is now removed.
I know there's a bit more to this layout that I wanted to mention, but it's late and I've just forgotten. Sorry everyone!
I'm here to answer all your questions and take any new suggestions for the forum layout. This was my first forum layout I've designed, and what a ride it was. I definitely feel a certain sense of completion, but I'm also happy to be done with it (well... there's always something to fix!).
