Edit: Holding off on this for now. I'm going to be testing some things with phpBB before switching over. False alarm for now.

Hi Everyone,

After getting fed up with errors in the phpBB forum software, I have decided I am going to be switching over to SimpleMachines instead.

What does this mean for you?
It only means that we'll have new forum software. I've tested SimpleMachines out and so far it looks/feels a lot nicer. Everything will be able to convert (yes that includes posts, topics, avatars, signatures, forums), so we should not lose anything. The only thing we won't have for a bit is the forum layout, which I will work on as soon as possible.

On Saturday Dec. 11, 2010, I am going to shut the forums down for a little while so I can get everything set up. I'm not sure what time this is, but I'll let you guys know closer to Saturday.

I'm currently playing with a SimpleMachines forum on another one of my domains, so hopefully I'll be able to make sure that the transition is smooth for all of you.
