He wasn't sure if his words would have the effect he hoped they would on the shifter, but he felt a bit better just having gotten them out. Now he only hoped that he hadn't angered her enough to kill him in his sleep.

What movies have you watched recently that you'd recommend?

I just watched Toy Story 3 last night and it was a bit darker then the other two. Still really good though.

Havent watched Diddly..

But I do have some dvd's I've been meaning to watch.
I'll watch'em this week and let you know if they're any good.

Edit: Ditto on 'Be Kind Rewind'. It has a slow start but once it gets rolling you really get into it.

Well, with two young kids, I rarely get to go to the movies. Still, I'll give it a shot!

Tangled is surprisingly good.

I just watched a movie called Legion last night with Paul Bettany and Dennis Quaid. It was very well written.

I saw someone mentioned Lars and the Real Girl, which was definitely interesting, particularly from a psychological standpoint. Wristcutters was on that list too. It was pretty neat.

The hubby and I have been doing more television lately than movies. So that list would be a lot longer. (Gotta love DVRs)

I saw Toy Story 3 recently too. The best thing about it was that the little girl had a stuffed Totoro plush. (If you don't know what Totoro is, it's from a movie called "My Neighbor Totoro" which is really cute and awesome.)

As for other new stuff... I recently saw "The Fighter" and "I Love You Phillip Morris". Both we're really good. I thought Christian Bale did well in "The Fighter". I found myself wanting to punch some of the other characters, not because the actors were bad but just because the people/characters were kind of dumb. I guess that's what they were going for. "I Love You Phillip Morris" was pretty funny, but it's probably not for some people since it is a gay-themed comedy. I watched it to see Jim Carrey as a gay man and also because I like Ewan McGregor.

I also watched "Singin' in the Rain" the other day, but I've already seen it before. I'm just always in the mood for a good musical with lots of tap dancing.

I watched Faster the other night. It was surprisingly pretty good. I loved the song at the end. "Short Change Heroes".

I fast forwarded through Human Centipede tonight. Sucked. Horrible. Don't watch it.

Re-watched Stripes the other day. Good movie. So was Heartbreak Ridge.

That's really about it movie-wise. It's funny that a 20 month old kid doesn't sit still long enough to watch a 2 hour long movie. Don't know why.

I started Tangled.. and it'd be a pretty good movie, if they didnt break out into song every 10 minutes.

I've been a big fan of Alan Menkin's songwriting for a long time. (If its a Disney song, there's a good chance he wrote at least part of it.) So, for me the bursting into song is part of its charm. Just takes me back to when I was a little girl singing along over and over... and over again. So, its kind of neat to see it all full circle with my daughter getting interested in more full length movies like Tangled.

Which reminds me... He also did the score for Newsies, one of Christian Bale's earlier movies and an all time favorite of mine.

After you get past the first four or five songs, they stop and finally get onto the the story. So Tangeled ended up being an okay movie.

I re-watched Astro-Boy today as well, which was pretty good.

Still need to watch The White Wall, Rock & Rule, Faster, & Hardware. And I need to finish A Boy and His Dog.

The breaking into song every ten minutes is what I like about those movies! The more singing the better! Prolly why I love things like Rent and Evita so much where everything is singing!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to see Red Riding Hood, I am such a Grimms addict, I adore all the old fairy tales that existed before they were Disneytized. Not that I don't love the Disney musicals, just sayin'...most old Fairy Tales were quite dark. lol I didn't make it to see that so Rorschach and I are shooting to see Sucker Punch soon.
