I realize I just got back, and not only instigated some things but promised to participate in them. I wanted to apologize for not following through in a timely manner.

You see, my mother finally lost her 10 year battle with cancer last Monday. The rest of my family chose not to include me in her last days, nor to even tell me of her death and the decisions about her cremation and memorial. Safe to say, my head space has been very preoccupied.

However, I have had a little over a week to adjust (a little) to this new phase of my life and I am hoping to be able to jump back in this week.

So please don't give up on me just yet!

I'm very sorry about your loss. I've been there myself. Hopefully you can find some closure and peace.
