Aleris

celebrating six years of adventures

Our Voices

"In the meantime," Elijah began, finishing the sentence for the man next to him, "get rid of Shimmer Town, then the rest of Elved and then... Aleris."

"And the children?"

Elijah offered a shrug. "Appetizers?"

My last article revolving around the Val`nothe attacks of course cannot be followed up by pleasant news. Unfortunately - as many Alerian readers are aware - the Val`nothe onslaught was only the first wave of the destruction that plagued Aleris. Nearly 24 hours later, I'm here in the castle's courtyard reporting on the aftermath of the battlefield.

After the Val`nothe was temporarily subdued by the black dragon, an army of undead came marching towards Grand City. This group was filled with wraiths, ghosts, zombies and the cannibalistic Aliscowri. Leading this army was a woman now known as Terra Vale, the apparent cause of everything from the gods being kidnapped to the extremely hot weather conditions. Vale's army killed and destroyed without mercy. Though soldiers and even citizen of Aleris fought back with all their might, many lives were taken in this battle.

In a strange and sad turn of events, the dual sword wielding woman, Terra Vale, was able to reach King Alerion despite the efforts people that made an attempt to detain her. While King Alerion was able to put a stop to her, killing the woman, his life was also taken in the process. While it may have seemed like a mistake on King Alerion's part, some people have reported to me that they saw the two kill each other - almost as if it was planned. In any case, may the gods carry you to safety King Alerion. You will be missed by thousands of Alerians and we all thank you for protecting the city as you did.

Following Alerion's death, the God of Summer, Tempesturo, and the God of Autumn, Galenous, were released from their prisons. It is said that the four gods promptly went to the god-killing Val`nothe and moved it away from the city. The Val'nothes have been sealed away hopefully to never surface again. With the death of Terra Vale and the freedom of the gods, there has been a noticeable shift in the temperature towards the right direction. This may seem so minimal in the scope of everything that has happened, but it is a sign that the balance of Aleris is being restored.

As a temporary relief, the leading lady of Bariston, Layla Victoire, has taken over in Alerion's stead. Lady Victoire is continuing on where King Alerion left off. Protection and temporary shelter is being offered wherever available as well as provisions as long as the castle has them. Please Alerians, I do ask you to keep in mind though that at this point resources are very limited! Help out and share whenever you can. Working together and with Layla Victoire's assistance, we can rebuild Grand City and restore it to its beauty.
