In what many had hoped was an isolated incident recently a newcomer was involved in a brutal fight with several locals and it appears the random acts of violence between newcomers and established Alerian citizens will not stop there.

Three days ago a young couple contacted the Alerian Guard regarding a man who had literally hijacked their house threatening their lives and the life of their unborn child if they did not relinquish their home to him. Frightened for their lives they fled their home and went immediately to the Guard for assistance. A contingent of vampiric and human guards was sent that night to retrieve the young couple’s home only to see every one of them destroyed by the man who has yet to be identified.

The second night of the illegal occupation resulted in the same loss of life as the next contingent of guards was met with even more aggressive measures and was not even able to breach the inner sanctum of the house. The next morning the unidentified man vacated the house with a woman in tow. The home owners had reported a wounded woman with the man in question but until their departure no one was capable of getting close enough to the house to confirm if the report was accurate.

The identity of the man is still unknown but the young couple is once again in possession of their home.

As if this incident is not disturbing enough sources tell me that a young woman newly arrived to Aleris has been murdered. The woman’s sister was seen taking the body to the temple of Larisa for internment. In an odd twist, the murder was not reported to the Guard so no official charges have been made even though the room the woman and her now deceased sister occupied was found by the hotel owners in a shambles and covered in blood. The woman’s identity has been confirmed as Jezika Fehr but she has as yet been unreachable for comment.

Will Aleris be over run by the newcomers and their obvious lack of concern for the laws of the land or will we all manage to find our place in this world and exist somewhat peacefully?

Who knows? But…
