While it's widely known that King Alerion has been looking for a certain mage/former manager of the Oak Barrel Tavern, what's not as well know (until now) is that in the search for the rogue wizard, two city guards have been killed and another two were assaulted. Luckily the rest of our fine protectors were able to subdue the madman and bring him to justice before the King. What he wanted to threaten national security for is still unknown but we can all rest assured that Victor Sage's reign of terror has finally been brought to an end.
In other news, a dragon was seen flying over Elved. Rumor has it that this was the form of Verial Akilara, former King of Oneiro. Of course the last time anyone saw this form of Verial was when he destroyed his own home land. Word is that this is just the beginning of another onslaught from the dragon. Hopefully there won't be a hot time in this old town tonight.
There has apparently been a Were-civil war also in Elved. The Redmont Ainsley and the Bluefield affiliated were, Deanna DiCorvino, were rumored to be heading up either side of the battle, which ended with only the two of them surviving, and finally calling off the whole thing. Countless lives were lost and the two women seemed to be happy with the results. Apparently, Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, but even that pales in comparison to a woman bored.
Recently Maxim Redmont, former leader of the Redmont family, was seen leaving the Oak Barrel Tavern at five in the morning. Apparently vampires aren't the only thing he's been slaying lately - alcohol is just as dangerous. Or it is to the alcoholic "Kinslayer". Being the sole survivor of your family doesn't make it okay for you to get drunk during all hours of the day, and leave a large pile of poo on the front steps of the Aleris orphanage, Mister Redmont.
Well, that's what I've heard at any rate. Remember: rumors fly fast, but flies fly faster.
