"Not at all! Baby’s heartbeat is very strong. Growing like a weed actually. With Verial's super sperm and your iron womb, nothing short of a bomb is going to bother that child."

"That's...wow, did you just say 'super sperm'?"

"I did. How does that make you feel?"

"I might vomit."

There Goes The Neighborhood: The Crime Rate In Aleris Begins To Rise

A sudden rise in the population always tends to spark concerns of social and economical decline, especially when the population boom is a direct result of an influx of immigrants from another country or in this case, another dimension. Or five. Aleris was no exception to this social phenomenon and for weeks now public rumblings have expressed a concern over the newcomers who continue to arrive daily but for the most part the fears have gone unfounded, until now.

Aleris has seen its first taste of conflict between the long time citizens of Aleris and the newcomers wishing to make Aleris their home. An unidentified man found drunk and sitting in the street was accosted last Monday by four local men who unfortunately did not get the better of their ill thought out fight. Though the local Alerians out numbered the new comer four to one, they still were not enough to subdue the inebriated gentleman. The confrontation was quickly over and only one man was left standing, our newcomer. Local authorities arrived to find the four attackers in a state of semi consciousness and the victim long gone. His identity remains unknown.

Is this an isolated incident? Or a sign of things to come? Will random bouts of violence continue to erupt throughout the formerly peaceful land? Many are ready to raise the alarm over the Outer Gates and those coming through them but not everyone is so eager to ostracize them or even cast all the blame their way. The populace is torn and many are looking to the Royal Family for guidance, hoping King Alerian or Duke Roland will appear and offer some insight and wisdom. Thus far they have been disappointed and neither King Alerian or Duke Roland have been seen in weeks.

With or without the guidance of our leaders the Gates are open and the new comers continue to arrive on a daily basis. Hopefully this incident marks the last, and not the first, incident of its kind.

Let’s play nice everyone….

I’ll be watching.
