Sabolin It seemed like years since she had left the the damp dank of the earth. She had went to see how the silver mines were doing and had ended up ill. She hadn't sent word because it had been bad, but she finally gotten well... kinda. Her lavender skin was almost white as was her silver hair and eyes. Her jade colored dress was tattered and made her look none to well. She walked slowly threw the trees taking in the grass under her feet.
Itaridle Ran down the stairs and then to the kitchen where she found Rook and then waved to her before trotting off to work on making herself some milk. Her milk was always different from everyone elses since it had to be a bit sweeter then cows milk, so she put honey in it! Just a spoonful, but it was soooo good! She hadn't seen her Nanny Sabolin yet, but while she was sweetening her milk, she got a sense that something was nearby. Something she had felt in a long while.
Sabolin she ran her fingers over the bark of the trees and had been looking up at the moon when she triped and fell. A root from the tree cought her foot almost as if it wanted her to look down not up. She lay in the grass her ankle brused and hands and knees scraped some. She stayed there in the grass and looked up slightly to see a light from a window. She sighed and wondered if they thought she was dead.
Itaridle Something wasn't right and she dropped the sticky spoon on the counter and ran outside onto the porch. The door banged closed behind her and stood on the porch steps, peering into the darkness, eyes bright. She sensed something definitely wrong. "Daisy! c'm'ere girl, Daisy!" she called the dog. Daisy had an excellent nose and she was a good protector too, so once the hound reached her, she tucked her fingers in the dogs scruff and wandered out into the darkness. "Daisy...something's wrong." she whispered to the dog, who just kinda looked at her. "C'mon...girl." She moved a little bit ahead of the dog to see what she could find, hoping it wasn't someone trying to scare her.
Sabolin she rolled over onto her back and set into coughing only to turn her head to look back at the house as she head the bang of the door. She rolled back onto her stomach and slowly got her her feet. She tried to dust off her dress though it did not good. She ran thin fingers threw her hair and leaned on the tree. Her dull eyes watched the shadows make their way to her. Her voice was hardly a whisper. "Oi, Aye wont hurt'cah." The words felt odd to say after so long of going without speaking common.
Itaridle The coughing startled her and she paused, standing there by Daisy, who started barking. That was sure to raise someone's attention. The animals didn't bark for no reason, or without a good reason. The young faery girl stopped in her tracks and peered into the darkness, which she could see quite good in. "Whose there?" she asked creeping closer. Did we forget to mention Ita was barefoot? That was common for most days. "You wo....." She stopped. That voice, she hadn't heard it in so long and she was shocked. "Aunt Lin? Is that you?" She looked horribly pale, she wasn't sure what to think Drow weren't supposed to be pale!
Sabolin she let out a sound that was a mix of a cough and a laugh. She then noded her head, her once silver hair was now almost as white as her skin. "No one has called me Lin in a long time sweetling." she looked to the house then back to the girl and the dog. The dog who was sure to not know her because she smelt like death itself. "Where is everyone?" her voice still no more then a whisper.
Itaridle Daisy barked for all she was worth and sniffed the drow woman til she was sure the underlying scent was Lin's. She then took off in a dash for the house. Ita rushed forward and latched onto Lin in a huge hug, assaulted by the death stench, which made her almost nauseous, but she swallowed thickly and looked up at her, tears gleaming on her lashes. "Oh my gosh, where have you been? Where did you go? Why did you never say goodbye?! I thought you ran away!" Typical childish worries and concerns were turned ginormous. Daisy barreled into the house barking her head off and searching for someone, anyone. Likely, Josh. "Aunty Lin, you look sick...are you sick? Are you hurt?" Poor girl, she was torn between leaving Lin to go hunt for Joshy and screaming for him, so she hugged Lin tighter, thrilled to see her.
Sabolin she grunted when the child latched onto her and hugged her back weakly. "Aye had to go home, to see to da mines. Aye got sick..." she sighed deeply and doped to her knees and held the warm child to her cool flesh. "Aye thought it to be a short trip, a day or two. Aye am so sorry sweetling." She just sat there hugging the girl weakly and cried softly.
Itaridle As she was hugged, she cried too, but she was trying to remember some of the things she's been learning lately. With her best friend away, she was putting more time into the lesson's her Papa and Ma were teaching her. She was doing anything she could to keep from being sad. {Rook, bring me some water! I'm near Grandfather tree. Hurry! Run, sissy!} she urged her sister. Rook heard her and soon was rushing to get a mug of water and bring it out to her. It was when she saw Lin that she gasped. "Lin! Where did you come froms?!" she exclaimed, shocked.
Sabolin she blinked her eyes many times before she could focus on Rook. She reached out with one arm to call the girl to her. "My ring still transports me no to far from here." she looked from one girl to the other. "How is every one? They ok?" she let them go and started coughing again. Her hand came away with blood and she quickly rubed it into the earth as she looked back to the children. "Come help me up and to the house would you?"
Itaridle The girls looked to each other concerned and since they were the only ones out there, they had to help her. "Daisy must be getting Joshy, so we should at least get her closer to the house if we can. Get on one side of her and I'll get on the other." she suggested. When the girls did that, they tried thier best to help Lin to her feet. When Rook smelled the blood, she forced herself to think about something else. "Your coughing up blood, your still sick." Rook commented. Where was Josh? He was in the tub, so was rushing to get dried and dressed. At least he put on a kilt before rushing out of the house to see what had Daisy riled up. "Alright, girl, show me. What's the problem." He hadn't seen his lil sister or daughter and so started calling for them. "Rook, Ita?! Where are you two?!'
Sabolin she got to her feet and just let the girl lead her mostly moving on her own. "Aye and still sick, yes, but Aye am home and will get better." She stoped in her tracks a few feet from the house when Josh came out the door. A sob shook her whole body and a cry spilled from her lips when she saw him. Her hands went to her mouth and she just stared at him with those dead eyes that almost made her look blind. She doped her hands as he spoke."Aye got them, they is safe boy." She tilted her head and gave them each a weak push telling them to go over to him.
Itaridle "Daddy...daddy, over here! It's Lin, she's home! Lin's back!" Rook exclaimed, still supporting the drow woman with Ita's help. Ita scrubbed the tears away and kept her arm around Lin. "C'mon, we'll get you inside." Hearing the kids, he stopped just inside a sliver of moonlight. He was roughly around thirty now, but due to his mixed nature, he didn't look much older then maybe mid-twenties. Were the girls playing a trick on him? Surely not. They wouldn't joke about something like this. His hair was as wild as ever, still shoulder-length. His jade eyes widened at seeing the pale woman the girls were leading along. The stench of death was all over her. When the girls were pushed ahead, they didn't budge fearing Lin might fall. they were half right, she was on her knees and the girls were struggling to keep her from falling. Josh rushed in to take her into his arms and look her over, shocked. "Lin...dear gods, what's happened to you?" He never expected her to return home in this condition. She had left and he thought she'd only be gone a couple days, but it turned out to be months. He took the water from Rook and told the girls to run up and pull the covers down on his bed. "Hurry girls." he whispered. They reluctantly left to go do as asked.
Sabolin the dress she wore was the one she made that matched his eyes. Eyes she never thought she would see again. When he scooped her up he would notice she weighed almost nothing, not that she had to start with. She wrapped her arms about him and placed her nose to his neck taking in the smell up him. She pressed her dry lips to hisear and whispered to him. "They made my brother poison me, had he not, they would have beat him and worse for the rest his life. When he told me, I made him do it. They did not know he snuck in meds to me to help me. As soon as I could crawl I left and came home." She sighed and just went limp in his arms, though she did not pass out. It was as if she was waiting for him before she stopped pushing herself so hard.
Itaridle He curled his arms around her and pulled her close. He kissed her hair, her cheeks, her lips. Tasting blood, he trembled, knowing he hadn't fed in the last month at least, nor had he slept well at all since she'd been gone. Something within in him was overwhelming him as she told her tale. What was it? Emotions he'd kept pent up and had no reason to unleash them. He had feared her dead and no one had contacted him. No one sent a message, messenger, nor had his searches come to nothing but dead ends. The furious, heart-wrenching roar brewing within came out unhindered as he threw his head back to protect her sensitive ears. The fact her family would do this to her enraged him! They were NOT going to treat the woman he loved like this. He looked quite scary with his fangs gleaming in the moonlight. He briefly looked like the monster he truly never imagined he'd be when he was sixteen! He felt her go limp and his arms tightened around her, rocking her gently as he cradled her lovingly. "My sweet Moonflower, your safe now. Your safe, I'm here. I should've gone with you, you shouldn't have gone alone." he whispered.
Sabolin She looked at him with her dead eyes and reached a hand up to hold his cheek. Her skin was cold, but she could not help it. "Aye know Aye am safe. It is why I fought so hard to get here. To their dismay even with my death they would not get what they wanted, I had papers done up leaving everything of mine to you and Rook. But let us not think of that. Aye and home with you and Aye will not go back. We can send others in my place." she covered her mouth then and coughed into her hand, she pulled it away and it and her lips were bloody. "A warm bath and some broth?" she asked softly.
[00:57] * Joshua_DeepSinger He didn't like how cold she was, she felt almost vampiric. He discreetly checked for fangs, hoping they hadn't done anything horrible to her. He slowly stood, with her in his scarred powerful arms and began taking her inside. "It might be wise that I go next time and when I go, I'm dealing with your family. They won't dare treat you this way. -No one- harms my family and gets away with it." He had to find his bloodstone and get some blood in him. He was feeling quite weak, but he wouldn't reveal that just now. "I think we should get some food into you, m'dear."
Sabolin She just stared at him as if she was unsure she was there with him. She had moments when she had thought she was and so she was trying to figure out if it was true. "Broth, and not to much. My brother did what he could. He cried every day that he saw me. Don't worry about them now." her eyes closed and her head loped to the side a moment the she opened her eyes. "A warm bath too please?"
[01:10] * Joshua_DeepSinger "Why did he not escape with you? Why did he not fake poisoning you? I'm sure the two of you could have put on a good act. C'mon love, there has to be a reason they poisoned you and I'm not letting this slide. They can't attempt nearly killing you and get away with it. I'm not letting them." He wasn't letting this go. For now he'd tend to her, but her family had gone too far! He carried her inside and made way straight for the couch, setting her down. He then took her hands in his own, squeezing them gently. He had nearly lost her and he was determined that no one was going to harm her. Ever again! "I think there's veggie stew on the stove? Want to try a little of that?" She had to get some weight back on her so she was healthy.
Sabolin She would wait for now to tell him why it had to be done the way it was. She just gave him the best smile she could, even though it might look creepy, and noded her head."Just no veggies, I might not even be able to hold much." she kissed his hands before letting him go. She covered herself with the blanket that always seemed to be on the back of the couch and laid back closing her eyes as she waited on him.
