"Not at all! Baby’s heartbeat is very strong. Growing like a weed actually. With Verial's super sperm and your iron womb, nothing short of a bomb is going to bother that child."

"That's...wow, did you just say 'super sperm'?"

"I did. How does that make you feel?"

"I might vomit."

"Ashe...."

There was a whisper in the Abyss, it called to her in a collective sigh and in a tangible crawl. A reminder of something in the way of unfinished business. Namely, from a fellow known to her as Ashe. A considerable length of time had passed. Hmm. Ashe was tugging at her spirit and well...

she would tug back. "Ashe"

Ashe would be tugged by his own shadow and forcibly drawn down into the Abyss, directly to her presence. Not just his sleeping mind, but in his very flesh and soul. It was a dangerous thing...but she thought it necessary. She was no longer in the singular service of the Light, but this was not to say that she did not still bear it within her soul. She was a complicated being of duality. Period.

The Priestess appeared before Ashe, though it was he that was made to appear before her. He would see her as he remembered her, barefoot in white silk robes, noticeably swollen with child. She did not cover her head nor was it removed of her hair, for it hung as a long ebony curtain down her body like a mantle. Ashe would feel the sensation of his own shadow peeling away and releasing him as it receded back into the darker corners of the sanctuary he found himself in. At first he would not see the shadowy acolytes that lingered around the altar or that were placed at different points in the expanse of the 'room'. He would see only the glowing magnetism of her pale blue angelic eyes.

"Well met, Ashe. You've been quite patient haven't you?"
The Angel would smile warmly, bowing her head.

She turned her back for a few moments to move towards the altar, "You ask of me a hard thing. As a rule, taking a soul belonging to the realm of the Dead requires a grave compensation...or a bit of a sacrifice on your part. One does not simply walk into Death's barrens and walk out so unceremoniously. Furthermore, I am not especially inclined, but I..I did give my word didn't I?"

A fine-tipped quill and pot of ink are useless to me, if the tablets of my heart are not well soaked by the well of inspiration.
