Post subject: Howl at the Wolf Moon
Another realm another dollar. Work was the same no matter where she went, for the most part, but Aleris was proving to be even riper for the picking than she had anticipated. Newly awakened from an emotionless, sensation-less, existence they were easy prey for the wolf who would offer them the means to every visceral feeling they could handle. And maybe some they couldn't.
There was always a process to introducing her manner of...commerce...into a new realm and this was no different. Her crew had already become familiar faces in Grand City, especially the bars, taverns, and places dedicated to sin and vice. When the alcohol wasn't enough to give the newly alive denizens of Aleris the experience they were looking for, one of the Sultan's crew was there to provide the answer. She had something for everyone no matter the race. The self styled alchemist had developed a means of intoxicating every major species that inhabited the various realms where she dealt her wares. Magical alchemy, she called it, much of it based on blood and specially grown plants magically enhanced to do the job just right, be you vampire, demon, or human.
Given her standing as the Imperial Ambassador to Aleris she was keeping her other activities somewhat hush hush, her crew the height of discretion for now. Man power was also an issue for her, though. The majority of her crew were there to do the nitty gritty work, finessing their way through the crowds to find new customers wasn't exactly their bailiwick. So far there had been no problems but given most of her crew were originally pirates, the possibility of very real violence was always there. Besides, she needed them out there doing their actual job.
Amyraliss had seemed promising in her desire to enter the lifestyle lead by the Princess/Alpha turned criminal Sultan but something about the demoness had warned her that she wouldn't be a permanent addition to her crew. She'd always gotten the sense that her desire to enter into the Sultan's employ had been a means of angering her parents or escaping her family. Such motivations rarely made for lifers so when Morlis contacted her to let her know Amyraliss would be traveling with him and would most likely settle back in Eternelle Lune she wasn't overly surprised or upset. Everyone had to find their place in the world and this life wasn't right for everyone.
However that did leave her with a hole in her stable of employees, someone who could handle the finer nuances of her business. Someone she could trust. That was the real deal-breaker. Yeah sure, she had Akuma, but he was about as subtle as a fucking freight train and preferred being the back up muscle. Any excuse to break someones face was good with him and she gave him ample opportunity for it beyond just the fighting he did at Pit Falls.
Sylvana was still doing her own thing, working out her personal demons. The pack had scattered in their own pursuits but that did not mean their Alpha was not there and she kept tabs on them all, Vana included. But she wouldn't force them to join her, to follow her on her own path. She would protect them always but sought to give them the freedom they had not had under her predecessor. She'd briefly considered contacting Tevy, see if she was interested in returning to her former employment. Tevy was Akuma's adopted little sister and years before had been made a wolf by Ameerah. Captured and tortured near unto death, the human girl would have died in Akuma's arms if Ameerah had not taken the chance that she could work the spell that her great-grandmother had cast upon her grandfather and lo and behold, it worked. Tevy was now loup garou, her pack, and she was also in school on Earth. School Akuma was paying for. He would kill her if she stole his sister away before she completed her studies.
There had been quite a few arrivals from Eternelle Lune since the creation of the Eternal Embassy in Aleris. Some had chosen to depart the Embassy and seek life amongst the Alerian citizens and even more had chosen to remain at the Embassy but the building wasn't even near to being filled and the grounds could at time seem almost like a ghost town. The subterranean levels of the main Embassy building were the heart of the Protectorate and her own business dealings and had very restricted access. Members of the Imperial family and those to whom they gave clearance only. Thus far only herself,Valorius, Akuma, and Mariska had been given clearance to the lower levels.
It was there that she worked on her...experiments. Not only had she taken an interest in the magical alchemy of drug enhancement but she had developed something of a techno-mage streak as well. Coming from a far more technologically advanced world it was often highly frustrating for her to be without the conveniences she was used too, such as electricity, cell phones, music, emails, etc and as a result she had taken to magically crafting certain devices that would yield the same results but remain within the time line of the world she occupied. Such devices had also gone on the market recently as more and more immigrants to Aleris were seeking the same luxuries they had become accustomed too though anyone with a bit of magic could craft them.
Tendrils of smoke coiled around her head in the den of the manor built specifically for her about a mile north of the Embassy within the Embassy grounds (Valorius' was a mile to the south). It was late and she had returned through the underground tunnel that connected both her manor and Valorius' to the sub-levels of the Embassy intent upon testing her newest strain of enhanced marijuana on the man she shared her life, her house ,and her bed with. An hour later she was doing precisely that. Reclining indolently on the large pillows in the den that had been designed to appear more like a sultan's pavilion she passed him the burning joint stuffed with enough of her newest strain to get four of them high.”I was thinking about Tevy, today. You plannin' on tellin' her I turned you any time soon? You know she's gonna flip shit when she finds out.”It had occurred to her that he might be waiting to tell his adopted sister when he finally saw her, but if that were the case he could always write and ask her to come for a visit. She knew how excited Tevy would be to learn they would finally have a genetic connection, through her, truly siblings in a manner now as they had been turned by the same wolf. Her. There was no way in fucking hell either of them were calling her Mom, though. Forging right ahead without waiting for his response she continued with her high stream of consciousness.”Oh yeah, I also spoke to Mani today. He and Calli are back at Mount Cithaeron in Eternelle Lune. Seems the lofty prince takes well to lavish temple life. Whoda thought. Anyway. Seems the temple is the happenin' place to be these days. Sylvana turned up there several days ago as did Morlis and Myra.”If that particular demon was in residence at the temple it was no wonder Sylvana was still hangin' out there. Amyraliss was a no brainer as far as the Temple of Mount Cithaeron was concerned. All incubi and succubi loved it there. Akuma certainly had at one point. Now it seemed First Breeds did as well. With a sigh she pushed the old feelings of rivalry shared between her and her cousin aside before the Hidden One could assert herself and turn the conversation down a bitchier path. They were both quite mollified thanks to the effects of the herb scenting the air with its pungent smoke as he handed the joint back to her and she inhaled deeply, the smoke escaping slowly as she spoke.”We're also due at the Pits in Eternelle Lune in a few days. Someone wants a piece of the Champion and the fans need a fix of their hero, not that I blame them.”She'd become quit adept at traveling between multiple realms and managing her business regardless of the incongruities between the various flows of time. Here lately she had been traveling mostly between Eternelle Lune and Aleris and with the exception of maybe a few hours time moved at about the same pace, which was refreshing, but still moved a lot slower than Earth. While they were there she would catch up on business at the Pits and visit the dockyards where the Sea Wolf was berthed. Make the rounds, as it were. One night only and they would be returning here.
Maybe news of their presence in Eternelle Lune would inspire a certain wolf to follow her Alpha back to Aleris as well. Naturally she had no idea a certain demon had already decided Sylvana would be returning to Aleris. Either way it was time for her expansion into Aleris to progress. ”How was your day, babe?”

Post originally by Character_AmyralissIt had never been a matter of hiding from the family, ok that's half a lie in itself. She wanted to be indepentent from her family. Her father well the man she considered her daddy had married mother for whatever reason. But in that , he'd been the only man she actually considered her father. Raistlan had either been dead, or just never bonded with her. So though he was by genetics her father, Morlis was all she knew.
So when all was said and done, she'd looked forward to her job working for the Sultan. Ameerah-Amunet was unique, an individual that made everyday interesting and fun. A constant challange as she could swear that woman was a perfectionist if she ever saw one. Even if at times she'd love nothing more then to swat the woman's ass and then ksis the marks. Alright, it was fairly apparant that she'd taken after her father's other women. She liked girls herself, so sue her.
Ameerah-Amunet drew her like a moth to the flame but in her want and need to well stand to her wants, she'd all but worked herself silly and starved herself. Always putting off feedings, OK that was NOT ameerah's fault, thatw as her own simply because she was stubborn and lazy. Something she knew would get her ass into trouble sooner or later if her father found out about it.
Which was where he had found her, she was taking a shower after a long day of work and found herself well exhaused and Morlis in her room. After flinging something at him, she felt almost bad for her actions. In the end he rather strong armed her. Demanding she go with him, a pout was given but in the end. She was very much a daddy's girl and couldn't tell him no.
Which regretfully meant that for the time being she'd be departing from Ameerah-Amunet's employ at least until she was settled. A temple that catered to well those little hidden fetishes. It was a while before her subconciously even submerged from well the common events.
However, it made her wonder if maybe she could work for Ameerah from the temple.. and see if she could get into trouble drugging up the goddess's guests with Ameerah's products. It sounded like a good idea.. However, Daddy was around and well her attention was rather rivetted. She'd write Ameerah about her idea tomorrow!

Post originally by Character_Akuma PrismSometimes he was thankful as Hell that his life was as simple as it was. All he had to do was train, fight, and win. In the beginning of his career all those things had kept him on edge, always full of adrenaline ready to take on the next “would be” champion. It’d been 11 years though, and 10 of those had been spent as him with a target on his back just waiting for the next fighter to come along who’d wanted it as bad as him. One thing that none of his opponents had ever shared with him was his willingness to sacrifice. Sure, he’d seen them fight with broken arms, broken jaws, some even kept fighting after losing a hand or foot…but all those were just pieces. Eventually the pain became too much and their bodies or minds gave out. He didn’t have that weakness. A decade ago when he’d beat the reigning Pit champion he’d promised himself then and there that the only way he’d ever stop being champion was if his opponent killed him. He wouldn’t stop if he lost use of a hand, or foot, he wouldn’t stop until there was nothing left for him to give. In short…the only way to take his reign from him would be to fucking kill him, and nobody had figured out how to do that yet. That didn’t mean they didn’t fucking try. The people he’d fought over the years had literally used things he’d never thought he’d see in a Pit Fighting cage. He’d had people come in with spell books, trying to “enchant” him. He’d had people come in with trained animals and try to use them to weaken him so that they could kill what was left. Once he’d even had a human just bring in a high caliber gun and shoot him until there were no god damn bullets left. But every time, even if he’d been knocked down, he always stood up. Bloody, wounded, wondering why he was still willing to do it. It’d been 10 years after all, why not give someone else the chance to sit on the mountain? But that’s when he always stood up, and he saw that “look”. It was a look he’d seen at least 1,000 times. When your opponents eyes go wide and they take that 1 step back, giving away that 1 thought that filled their brain…-How the FUCK is he still standing?!-That was the moment that kept him there. That 1 second in time when everything froze, and for the first time they ‘saw’ him. Not just as some asshole who’d been lucky for the last decade, but as the “Unbreakable”. They could wound him, they could use weapons, they could come with guns, magic, greater numbers..it made no difference. The only way to stop him was to take the fight out of him..and no one had the ability to do that. The one who’d come closest thought..well, she was laying with him right then, passing a fat joint in his direction. And the way she’d done it hadn’t needed a single punch or threat. She’d done it by showing him another life, a life that he’d wanted ever since he was a teenager. He could fight the entire world and still have enough left to say -Is that all you’ve got?-, but she was the 1 person who he could leave it all behind for. Good thing was..she loved it as much as he did, sometimes maybe even more.Taking a hit from the joint she asked if he was going to tell his sister that she’d turned him. He thought about it a second, flicking the ashes off the joint and handing it back before answering.”I’ll tell her eventually. Right now I want her to just focus on her own life. After she’s taken care of what she needs to take care of, I’ll let her know. For now I just want her to deal with one thing at a time..and that’s school. I haven’t paid for her books and shit this long just to have her leave it all behind to come bond with her new half-wolf brother. That shit can come later..not like I’m goin’ anywhere.”Then she brought up Maniac and Callidora, and his eyes rolled. He liked Callidora a lot, she was a great chic but Maniac..eh, the pale little silk spokesman always rubbed him the wrong way. There’d been a few times where he’d wished that that fucker had decided to take a step in the cage just so that he could beat the british out of him. Now though the guy was just a minor annoyance but that was about it. Still..he felt the need to say something.”He likes wearin’ next to nothin’, loungin’ around in a temple while dudes walk around with their balls hangin’ out. Yeah…I kinda figured he would. I bet he’s like a horny kid in a sex-toy store. One of these days Calli’s gonna walk in and find one of her servants balls deep in his face and I’m gonna be the only one sayin’ see, I fuckin’ TOLD you so.”He laughed, waiting for her to hit the joint and hand it back to him. When she did he wasted no time in taking 2 really deep drags from it, the effects already starting to show in his prism-like eyes. While he did she told him with her narrowed eyelids that she still had a soft spot for Maniac, which made it even more fun for him to say the things he did. Still, he flicked the ashes off the joint as she told him that they needed to head to the pits so that he could fight off the next up and comer. As he blew the smoke out he handed the joint off to her and nodded.”Yeah, I know the guy. Not a bad fighter but he’s weak on the right side. He’ll go a hundred miles an hour for the first few minutes but then he’ll start leavin’ himself open and that’ll be the end of it.”He wasn’t a genius by any means, and he’d be the first to say so. If it’s one thing he did know though it was the fight-game, and he always made sure to know his opponents better than they knew themselves. Even though he always talked like he would win he never took any fight lightly, even the ones that seemed really frigging easy. That’s what his father taught him, and that’s what he always did. Everyone had the chance to walk away a winner, he just had to be ready to snuff that chance when it came. So far…he’d done a damn good job. With all the small talk and current even stuff out of the way she rolled toward him and asked how his day was. He just smiled and reached over, grabbing her and pulling her over onto his lap before wrapping his arms around her.”It was alright I guess..but things’re lookin’ pretty good right about now..”His hands slid from around her, the left pushing just under her shirt so that he could run his fingers over her stomach. And the other, it began to push beneath the waistline of her low-clinging pants.”…So, a few days until the Pit, huh? That doesn’t leave a lot’a time, does it?”And then he just smiled.

The short trip to Eternelle Lune had gone without incident for the most part. She'd made the rounds of her warehouses and the Sea Wolf. They'd stopped by Akuma's warehouse and the building that had once housed the Dragon's Den (now used only for private events hosted by the Sultan) to ensure neither building had been vandalized or broken into and that all was as it should be. A perfunctory visit had been paid to the Palace where Akuma had good-naturedly endured a visit with her parents and she had ensured the well-being of any of her wolves still in residence there which at the moment, was very few.
Arielle was quickly following in her footsteps as a sea-going pirate and Mirielle had shacked up with her little incubus boy where she would be able to see Arielle regularly, their home on the island they had chosen well off the coast of the main body of Eternelle Lune the location where Ari's ship made berth. She saw them when she could but they were living their own lives and she wouldn't begrudge the cousins who had weathered the abuse of their pack with her as children their dreams. For years they had been stifled and she wasn't about to do that to them. Still, she always knew where they were and would know in an instant if either of them were in trouble.
Cytara and Seterios, while of de Sade descent, had never asked for the wolf to be unlocked within them so she left them to Callidora's care unless they asked for assistance from their de Sade cousins. Curran and Enora had returned to their timeline and country of origin, rejoining their mother as they had never quite taken to the more modern lifestyle of their loup garou cousins.
Tevy was not her blood relation but she had made the girl a wolf years ago so she was Ameerah's pack and as such under her rule, or more accurately, subject to her meddling. She wouldn't interfere with her schooling, however, in that she and Akuma had never disagreed and for now Tevy remained in modern New York. She was always in touch, though, corresponding with her maker and Alpha regularly. It had been a challenge not to tell Tevy of Akuma's recent transformation but for the moment she respected his wishes. Gods help him if Amunet was out when one of Tevy's letters came. She'd spill the beans all over the place.
Cairenn was the only wolf still in residence at the palace and during their visit she again extended the offer to her younger cousin to join her in Aleris. She departed with the hope that she would finally take the offer and get out of the now often silent palace.
Business was swiftly concluded, their presence at Pit Falls enough to cause enough talk that there was no doubt news of it would reach anyone else who might need to hear about it. All the way to Mount Cithaeron in fact. Briefly she considered popping in for a visit but decided it was never a good idea to put Maniac and Akuma in one place for too long and she and Callidora (though reconciled for the most part) had never had the most amicable of relationships.
Back in Aleris she returned her attention to the business at hand. Both she and Valorius had been provided a large manor away from the main Embassy building, the Embassy grounds within Aleris being quite extensive (please see the Eternelle Lune-Imperial Archives forum for a more in depth description), a secret underground network of tunnels connecting the separate lodgings to the Embassy building as well as to the Portal chamber located behind it, all heavily warded and guarded of course.
The main embassy building housed fast luxurious living quarters for those who chose to travel to the new realm in the three upper levels, the main floor holding the receiving room and meeting halls, while the lower levels played host to her labs as well as the training facilities and lodgings for the members of the Protectorate living in Aleris. Though underground the space was immense and just as well equipped as the upper levels. Only those with proper clearance could reach the lower levels and right now that consisted of Ameerah, Akuma, Valorius, and the Protectorate.
It was in her labs that she spent most of her time, refining her product with her unique ability to manipulate energy and blood combined with her own brand of magical alchemy. The product designed for the wolves, those of lycan, loup garou, or nature-kin descent, was perfected, naturally, and marketed under the street name, “Bane”. The enhanced drugs for vampires and various demons (especially the incubi/succubi races as they tended to be rather prolific and prone to drug use) taking on multiple forms as she harvested different sources from the donors she was paying handsomely to provide their blood.
Originally unsure if there would even be a market for her stuff in Aleris she was mildly surprised at the way her business took off. Rather than condemn her for peddling drugs on their streets the citizens of Aleris seemed to welcome her magically supped up mind-altering substances. Everyone knew that a soul had been stolen from the Goddess of Winter as well as the possible consequences, consequences that were even now being witnessed as people lost their ability to feel or care. Until they stumbled across her product, that was.
Though it offered only a temporary fix, the drugs seemed to stave off the numbness that was once again creeping over the Alerisian citizens, forcing them to feel, to experience something beyond the indifference. Because of that her product caught on faster than she had anticipated and as a result her crew was working overtime on the streets rather than in pursuit of their primary jobs. They didn't seem to be minding the break, though.
Naturally she'd received notification when Sylvana had traveled through the Gateway into Aleris, taking up residence in the Embassy suite only recently vacated by Amyraliss. She may have made more of an effort to greet her cousin but she was aware of the fact that she wasn't alone. Nothing happened within the Eternal Embassy grounds that she didn't know about and she had no desire to walk in on that. She didn't begrudge her cousin a lover but she would have chosen someone different for her. At any rate she figured Sylvana would emerge from her rooms when she was ready, or when her guest returned home.
In the meantime she had business to see too, the magical narcotics trade being only one of her enterprises. She was also quite adept and creating magical constructs that mimicked modern earth technology. She hated being without the conveniences she had grown used too in New Orleans but such tech wouldn't work in a world like this. Something about the energy, no doubt generated by the Gods, prevented it from functioning so she had begun subverting magic in such a way that it was as good as having the real thing. Not to mention the items she smuggled in, items that would no doubt be forbidden by the Alerisian government were they to be discovered.
But then, that was the fun part.

Her time was divided at the moment as she went about doing things the way she always did, her way. Between moving, settling into her room and then branching out to put a foot into the door. She had secured a position for herself so as to have well a good way to get things to Ameerah as she was sure her cousin had things well in hand, it didn't hurt to have hands in cookie pots. Which was her for you in a nutshell.
Once the demon had taken his leave to return to his concubines, she went about business at hand. First was her job, getting her hours and starting work. Finding out through gossip what was going on and then there was her cousin. Yes, she should present herself as the female was probably wanting to kick her in the ass for not coming to her first. Oh well, Meerah could go chase a stick.
She adored, if not all out revered her cousin, she just refused to jump when she said jump. At least not all the time anyways. First it was settling, and then setting things up for her to have her activities. The male demon was another issue entirely that drew her attention, perhaps too much
She liked the minute relationship she had with him as a toy. But long story short, he'd never be more to her. They used one another to sate needs and that was that. Not the clingy sort she turned her attention to her correspondance to Calli in appreciation for the visit. To Frank to ensure things were still well in New Orleans. And then there was her cousin, to which she gave no news.
Being a stubborn brat had always been in her nature, she just rarely employed it against her Soverign as she refered to AA. Granted, very few knew the younger wolf enough to know what she was up to anyways. Passing protectorate on a daily basis made her notice there were few women. Mostly she saw a redhead on duty with an angelic male.
The empire was odd that way it seemed. It was a few days since she'd initially arrived and the wolf wanted to run, play what's more she felt the want and need to dance again as well.
The moon was high as she walked to the small stream where she prefered to play. The woods freezing with her steps and snow swirled about her when she walked about when she chose to employ her abilities that is. For the moment, she was doing just that. The rest of the forest might be nice without the snow and wintering, but where she walked, she wanted her touch to show prenevolently.
When she was sure she was alone. The jeans like fabric she wore was set aside as was the heavy sweater and shoes. Perhaps it was odd but she was well just that, odd in the way she did things. The leotard as well as thin wisp of a skirt was slid on. The toe shoes were slid on and laced up as she shifted a bit. A simple matter of raising to her toes, a pain that came with the shoes that were stiff as they needed to be. The wolf of her was used to balancing precariously with those paws to fit into odd places. So it was a discomfort she was used to.
Her bag also hearalded a small pad and a set of pencils. She had loved to draw when she was younger but had given it up when she joined the fray at AA's side. Perhaps it was time to bring out more of her and put it in her work.
Things set aside on a low rock as she slid to her toes on both feet, gracefully stepping forward onto the ice. Her steps small and balanced as she started shifting and spinning. Slowly transitioning her steps and spins until it was intricate with the way she moved her arms to make the grace of the dancing suit her more. Steps turned to dance as though she was a dancing snowflake upon the winds itself.
Her mind focused intently on what she was doing to where were it not for her natural insticts she'd be oblivious to the rest of the world in those moments. One thing was there in her mind, she would need to seek out and rpesent herself to her Alpha though.
The smaller female, actually missed her cousin a great deal. She was a best friend to her. One that she liked working for which was why she was going to offer her help again as well and the little nook of a job she got for herself to keep herself busy.
