center]Rumor Has It…[/center]
That Jass Strata has actually accepted the proposal of the Redmont leader! Apparently home girl doesn’t realize when she is being used. Am I the only one who thinks this looks like a school yard game of “I don’t need you any more, look at my new booty” aimed at the slayers ex wife, Daphne? I thought succubi were hard wired for that sort of thing? You know, the ultimate temptress and manipulator? Looks like she’s been ensnared in her own trap because the Redmont slayer has more then worked that girl over and she’s still coming back for more!
After all the advice offered Ms. Strata she still chooses this path so I can say only, good luck with that, you’re going to need it.
Rumor also has it the Redmont lord and his cronies were tearing it up in one of the local taverns recently, but this time, he had help. His arch nemesis, Alastair Bluefield, showed up in disguise and actually snagged Maxim’s fiancée, Ms. Jass Strata right from under his nose. Popular girl, that Jass. Whether or not she has been recovered is still unknown.
Rumor has it the tavern was left in a shambles but that can’t all be blamed on the Redmont slayer and the Bluefield hyena. Red versus blue…is it just me or is this oddly familiar? At any rate, a man who’s description can only be the proprietor of Aleris’ new Pit Fighting area, Akuma Prism, found himself smack in the middle of the fray when for all accounts he was simply there for a few drinks, or rather, a few more since he was already stone drunk by the time he arrived. When women he was seen associating with were threatened in the cross fire he attempted to protect them and promptly caused them to crash through the tavern floor. Maybe it’s time for Mr. Prism to consider Light Beer?
All in all everyone escaped unscathed in spite of being buried in rubble and jumping head first into the conflict as Ms. Fehr did in defense of Calypso’s Warrior, Maxim, the only casualty of sorts being Ms. Strata’s abduction. If I were Maxim I might be concerned that Ms. Strata might develop a bit of Stockholm syndrome while in Mr. Bluefield’s care, she does seem to prefer the abusive type and based on the reports I’ve gotten regarding the Bluefield hyena’s temperament, he certainly fits the bill.
I always miss the fun stuff.
Ah well. Until next time…
That’s the Rumor.
