She smirked then as she looked at Kyrian once more. Babysit indeed! She'd take the boy to Siren's Corner first chance she got! HA!

In a previous article, I mentioned that a mysterious woman was seen taking up residence in the magister's manor of Drybrush. It was speculated that this woman was a previous love affair of one Valorius Malku, aka Bel Telal of Heruin. Why is it that we always end up talking about Valorius past flings?

Anyway, she couldn't simply wait for the Bel Telal to return from his "duties". Instead, she left for Valorius' camp where his elite guard was stationed. In an attempt to find the Bel Telal and rendezvous with him, a fight broke out between her and an officer of Valorius'. Rumor has it that she wanted to find Valorius, join in on the secret meeting he was having with his other mistress and demand gold. Demand gold for what, you ask? Apparently, Valorius left this woman behind pregnant and now she's looking for back payment child support.

Heading over to Arthuran, at The Chronicle, we're surprised to see that a war hasn't broken out yet. If you recall, in my last article I mentioned that Lady Layla Victoire had left Bariston, made way to Chaliceton and was seen requesting an audience with Lord of Arthuran, Verial Akilara. We're not quite sure what they're doing behind closed doors over there. It was speculated that Layla was trying to move in and score some snuggle time now that Verial's secret love is gone. However, the latest details surfacing say that Layla is trying to draw up some sort of alliance between the two. She reckons that if Arthuran and Elved joins forces, that they can take over Grand City's throne and be the most powerful couple on Aleris.

Also, I still say she wants him in the sack again, but that's just me.

Although the Lord Commander of Eiler was recently seen detaining an aggressive man on Hinewai Harbor's docks, rumor has it that he used this chance at a fight to let some of his aggression go. Whispers have surfaced that Madrin Kir's anger is not fueled by the recent attacks, but because of Wish Star.

Wait, what?

I know, I know folks. Only an article ago I wrote about how they were getting ready to plan the wedding of the century. Looks like that bit of information was false (but what isn't that I write here?). Anyway, it's now said that she dismissed his advances and that she left on one of Hinewai Harbor's ships to be rid of him. Now the Lord Commander is full of rage because people are dying in Eiler, Aurora's Paladin is nowhere to be found and he missed his chance at tying another woman down with marriage, yet again.

Yet again, you say? Oh yes. It has been said that Commander Kir was once seen trying to force one of his fellow officers, Mira Blackwolf, into marriage. After that didn't work, he moved onto other game - Aurora's Paladin.

I've also been told it is worth mentioning that a familiar face to the Grand City army was seen taking up residence in Shimmer Town. Some have said this person is Victor Sage, previous soldier of the Grand City army. However, we have no solid evidence of this as... no one will ask. It's said that Sage is trying to elude Grand City soldiers by going into hiding and playing dead, like he has no memory. I thought this guy was supposed to be a wizard? Isn't he smarter than that? At least we can determine, finally, that Victor Sage (or whoever his Shimmer Town twin is) is missing that extra chromosome after all.

Last but not least (and I assume I will be struck dead for writing this), rumor has it that all the recent fighting and death going on throughout Aleris is caused by the Goddess of Winter herself. While Elysia remains quiet to her followers, others are saying that seeing the downfall of Aleris is her idea of a winter sporting event. Hey, Elysia, isn't chaos Tempesturo's job? Can't you give us all a break until summer? In any case, some of Elysia's more devoted say this idea is ludicrous, that their goddess would never abandon Aleris since she is joined to it and so on and so on. I guess we'll see after this is all over - that is, if we all live.
