She smirked then as she looked at Kyrian once more. Babysit indeed! She'd take the boy to Siren's Corner first chance she got! HA!

It's been a while since our last bit of news. In my last article, I wrote how a 'silent killer' was making its way through Eiler and Elved. At the start, there had been reports of victims who were left skeletal-like at the end of the infection's toll. Witnesses could only state that those people had been drained of their lives. There has been no word from King Elias about this plague that is creeping through every continent until now.

I write today with official news from the King of Aleris himself. The disease is now spreading through Heruin and Arthuran as well and is becoming more omnipresent. It has different effects on other people. While in the first cases of this disease we saw people withering away to nothingness and eventually leading themselves to death by drowning, some react in a more savage manner. Reports have been coming in that people affected by the same illness are seduced into violence, murder, theft and even rape. The criminals subjected to this disease have been apprehended and are being tested by the kingdom's best mages and healers in order to find both the source and a cure.

The king also has confirmed that an official expedition has been on course to attempt to figure out where this plague has started from.

In other news, Ameerah Amunette, previous Padishah of Heruin has stepped down from her position. Or rather, we were informed by sources that King Elias is seeking a new Padishah for the desert continent and that in the interim, the role is being assumed by Valorius Malku, Bel Telal of Heruin. Valorius Malku was not available for comment on what happened to Ameerah Amunette or who would be replacing her. Seeing to Heruin's well-being with the illness around is his top priority and of course, we don't blame him.

Chaliceton, Arthuran's capital city, was recently defended from an orc and goblin attack. Though no one in the city was injured, several soldiers out on the field were killed. From Lord Verial Akilara, there is some assumption that the beast tribes were affected by the same disease, but no official diagnosis has been confirmed as of yet.
