As some of you may have heard Reid Feral, Editor of The Chronicle, was taken by force by what has been verified as three large men. These men attacked Mr. Feral in plain view of the Alerian City Guards, tossed him in a burlap sack, and managed to escape capture. As one of the newest employees at the Chronicle, I would like to send a personal note to whomever is responsible for such a cowardly act.

To the jerkface loser or losers who snatched my boss,

You sir or madam or both are scum. I highly doubt you are justified in your reasoning for kidnapping a really sweet and kind man and boss. Perhaps you were jealous of his awesome ability to color coordinate. Perhaps it was the way he managed to find just the right accessory to wear, or perhaps you were simply jealous of his tail. Maybe you held a grudge against him as a former spurned lover, or maybe he wrote something about you in the Chronicle that just got under your skin and as result, wasted your time and efforts plotting and planning against him. Whatever your reasons are, they are lame just as you are. I hope you are afflicted with dysentery and spend days on the privy, crapping out your internal organs until you die or until Reid Feral has been returned safely to his loving staff.

Now that I have vented my spleen and pray for the safe recovery of my boss, there is something else I would like to discuss with you citizens, something of grave importance.

You will no doubt read the Rumor Has It section of the paper, like all good Alerians do, and in doing so, will notice the paragraph concerning the mass murders in Jade City. People, I know I'm just a child compared to most of my readers, but I urge you to please listen to me now. As Alerians, you just as I, have managed to endure several hardships and tragedies that has befallen Aleris. Some have lost loved ones, and some have managed to survive only to rebuild our shattered lives. While I commend you for being the shining beacon of hope that is Aleris, I cannot stress enough the dangerous situation happening right now in Jade City.

My advice to you: DO NOT BE A HERO! Do not risk your lives needlessly. Whatever is happening to our neighbors in the south, it is bad folks. Extremely bad. Your lives depend upon your common sense. If possible, I would say for those in the Jade City area to evacuate as much as possible, for even as I write this, I am being updated by my reliable if not stinky sources, that the death toll is rising. Do not try to apprehend any you believe are responsible for the mass murders. Contact the authorities of Jade as soon as possible if you see suspicious activity. Stay safe folks and gods bless you.
