She had agreed to the assignment, now it was only a matter of the Master and the Princess working out the fine details. Much as Ameerah had she had half expected him to protest the assignment, to insist that it was too dangerous or even for him to be offended that she was asked to go without him. Akuma had only ever agreed if he could tag along and make sure she was alright. Perhaps it was his lack of knowledge on just what she was or what she had been trained to do, or even that he was simply worried, but he had never trusted in her skill or he was afraid too. Perhaps that was why she allowed a look of surprise to actually show on her face when he commented on her skill and her...perfection. Perfect. He’d called her perfect.

Her eyes rose to glance at him from the corner of her eye, the blush that was becoming more and more common since being with him staining her cheeks with a faint rosy glow. She would hardly call her self perfect, but then it wouldn’t occur to her to comment on her skill. She was what she was. That was all. So caught up in the idea that he had called her perfect she nearly missed hearing him demand that Ameerah pay her directly so as to avoid theft from another empire employee. Her eyes widened and her head actually rose as Valorius leaned forward, her grip tightening on Antonio’s hand though she quickly schooled her face back into its unreadable mask.

Whatever she thought was going to happen was alleviated by Valorius’ words. His assurance that Rain would get what was due her followed by the statement that she was still family. It was then that she dared a glance at the Prince, a gentle msile curling her lips in silent gratitude. The Prince had befriended her when she still belonged to Akuma, both of them taking refuge in one another while Akuma and Ameerah had continued their affair. They had considered becoming lovers but ultimately neither of them wished to be with anyone but who they loved and shortly after Ameerah had given herself to Valorius, thus ending whatever Akuma thought he was getting. Valorius had remained her friend, however, and she was grateful for his reassurance that she still mattered to the family.

That being settled Ameerah handed her the amulet that would allow her to travel from the Empire to Aleris and back. It was identical to the ones she had used to travel when on the Sultan’s business before and knew exactly how to use the talisman. She had her instructions so when Ameerah said she could leave when she wished she rose from her chair, Antonio at her side, and departed the Empire with a respectful nod both the Prince and Princess before departing. The same Hunter who had escorted them to the office was there to take them back out of the Catacombs, the palace seemingly empty of the servants who had been there when they arrived. Harris was waiting outside with the transportation and just like that they were off, returning to the Villa.

They made the trip in relative silence, her hand remaining clasped with his as they headed home, her thoughts turning to the assignment ahead. She would leave as soon as possible, as soon as they arrived home if Antonio permitted it. She saw no reason to delay. The sooner she got it done the sooner she could return home. Arriving at the Villa she eased from the transportation behind Antonio and followed him up the steps to the Villa’s front doors. “I will leave to night, with your permission Lord Antonio.” She had never balked at any of her assignments but now she found herself sad to be departing. It would be a quick assignment, a day at the most really, but that didn’t mean she would regret not being here with him.

Once back in their room she began to strip off the clothing he had dressed her in to go and meet with the Imperial pair. First came the dress which she hung back in the closet, then the stockings which were folded into a drawer. Leaving on the panties she began to pull out the clothes she had arrived with. A form fitting black tank top was pulled over her head before being covered with the black hoodie. A pair of black leather pants so soft and well maintained they would make no noise when she moved was slid over her curves to fasten around her hips. Gazing into the mirror her demeanor slowly changed as she donned her old clothing, the emotion that had begun to show in her face and eyes draining away to leave the cold indifference that most in her profession possess.

Rianbow colored hair that fell to her shoulder blades was pulled into a pony tail to keep it out of the way and on top of it all came the weapons. By the time she was done she was armed to the teeth but you wouldn’t be able to see any of it or even tell she was carrying a weapon based on her appearance. Once she was ready she turned to face Antonio, her eyes rising to glance at him from beneath her lashes. Her lips parted as though to say something but no words came out. What should she say? Will you miss me? Don’t forget about me while I’m gone? Will you console yourself with another woman in my absence? She knew he was with Kisa so naturally if the feline returned he would be with her. None of it mattered, not really. She belonged to him whether he would miss her or not, whether he would forget about her or take another woman to his bed. For a brief moment he would see the confusion and doubt in her gaze before all emotion slowly bled from her eyes leaving them empty and cold, the very eyes you would expect to see from your killer.

”I’ll return as soon as possible...” She finally said, the words seeming hollow. She would do her job, and do it well, and return to him when she was done, regardless.

As always it was business as usual at the empire. In less than half hours time they had arrived, had their meeting, and were now on their way back to the villa. The return trip was made in silence. Other than the caress of his thumb along hers, and the occasional glance to her face, nothing was said or done. He tried his best to mask the concern on his face, to mask the confusion that dwelled just beneath the surface, but it was there, if anyone could see it--it would be her. Which is why the majority of his attention seemed focused out the window as he stared at the landscape they passed by. The silence was finally broken by her saying that she would leave this evening, and his only response was a subtle nod of acceptance. He couldn't explain it, but at the moment he was a literal flood of emotions. Concern, compassion, and everything in between--yet, they'd only been around one another for a few weeks. It was most curious.

When they arrived back at the villa it was still nightfall, which meant that none of the family would yet be around. It was better that way. The last thing he wanted was to explain where they'd been, or what was discussed. Right now all he wanted to do was spend the last few moments they had together alone, with her. In the beginning it had all started as curiosity and fascination. She wasn't supposed to exist, but she did, and that alone had made him more focused upon her than anything else he'd ever had in his life. But over the brief time they'd stayed together, there was something else that had been born. Could it be called love? He wasn't sure--all he knew is that the idea of her being away from him wasn't something he enjoyed thinking about.

They made it within the villa and soon headed up stairs to again enter their chamber. As her hand slipped from his so that he could close the door behind them, she'd already begun to undress. Leaning back against the door with his hands sinking into his coat pockets, he still couldn't keep his eyes from drinking her in. When he'd first seen her nude it'd been more so a state of wonderment that over took him. A realization that she was too perfect be real. Now, there was something else there, something more intimate--more endearing. Only when she'd finished dressing and turned to him did he see the confusion in her own eyes. Were her feelings alikened to his own? Would she miss him as well? He didn't know--but god damnit, he wouldn't keep his own thoughts silent. He had to say something.

A push from off the door sent him toward her. His hands began to move over her attire, straightening every sheath, smoothing out any wrinkles in her shirt, and his hands running over the hips and rear of her pants so as to hug them to her skin. While doing so he finally spoke to her.

"Make sure to keep low, and do most of your traveling at night. Whenever possible, try to stay down wind. Above all else, don't trust 'anyone'--even if they say they can be trusted--"

Even though he continued to straighten out her clothing, he seemed to "fidget" more than anything else. Though his eyes seemed to be avoiding hers, his feelings were palpable whether or not they could visually be made out. Having knelt before her, he begin to adjust her laces, even though she'd already done so.

"Remember, you're not there to kill. If things become too aggressive, don't try to stand your ground. You just leave, and come home. Don't forget t--"

His words cut short and he smiled, shaking his head. What was he telling her? This was what she did, this is what she was designed for. She'd probably forgotten more about stealth than he would ever know. Being trained a battle mage meant that he was the 'rhino' of the battle field, meant to charge forward and clear a path for all those who would follow after him. So, finally he stood. She'd said she would return as soon as possible, and as he looked into her eyes, his hands suddenly darted forward, taking hold of her ass so that he could lift her from the floor and make her even with him. Despite her icy demeanor at the moment, it wouldn't matter if her skin began to freeze his hands, he had to do this.

"Above all else--come back to me. That's an order."

His forehead rested to hers for a second, and then his grip pulled her body tightly against his own. What followed next was a kiss. Not one to begin a night of passion and lust, not a kiss meant to 'bend' her to his will, but the type of kiss shared between two people to show that care and concern was all that was on his mind. It wasn't brief by any means, and it lingered for quite a few moments. Long enough for him to show her what he felt without needing to say it. Even if it'd only been a few weeks, he felt more connected to her than anyone else in his life. If she had any thoughts that he would take another to his bed, or that Kisa meant more to him than she did--the kiss would show her the exact opposite. He'd kissed other women before, but 'never' like this. When he finally parted from her lips, his smile once again came, and he gave a soft squeeze to the full curve of her backside.

"Now go, show them why you're the best at what you do Miadora--"

He lowered her down, but hesitated to let her go. As his hands slowly pulled away from her, he looked down to her face. She was quite skilled at keeping her feelings hidden--but he wasn't. Everything he felt at that moment played through his eyes, and his expression. Perhaps it was love, or the beginning of it. Either way, his connection to her was growing beyond creator and creation, master and slave. He would be damned if she was taken from him.

"And when you return, we're going on a vacation. We're going to find the one who hurt you--and we're going to make him pay. No one gets away with what he did--and no one will hurt you ever again."

As cold and collected as she may be, in that instant his eyes took on all the fire of one born from Hell. Conviction--Antonio Desiderio be thy name.

The amulet was clutched in her hand and she was prepared to use the charm placed on it by the Princess to travel to this new world, Aleris but before she could tap into the teleportation spell Antonio was pushing off the wall and heading towards her. Surprise registered briefly in her gaze as he neared and began to fidget with her clothing. The baggy black hooded sweater was sufficient to hide her figure and the hood was deep enough to hide her unusual color when pulled over her face, her pants loose enough to give her full range of motion but not so loose that it would hinder her or hang up on anything. Her clothing was well thought out to her task, and yet he still fussed over every inch of it, smoothing the fabric, checking the straps, sheaths, and holsters that housed the various weapons she chose to take with her, one can never rely on one method for killing you understand, even going so far as to check the laces of her boots.

All the while he fussed he spoke, lecturing her on how to handle herself in this new place, her purpose, and how to stay safe and out of trouble. She would never contradict him or indicate she did not need his advice, but in spite of herself a slightly bemused expression appeared on her features. Was he worried? Really? The very idea that someone worried like this, over her, was startling to say the least. Few had ever shown such concern for her. Oh sure, Akuma cared, she didn’t down play that, but still...it hadn’t been this kind of worry and concern. Akuma would have just told her she couldn’t do it and called it a day, then turned to someone else while she was gone. This was definitely new.

She liked it too. Finally he realized just how silly his instructions were and rose to his feet. As he did so her head tilted back so that she could maintain eye contact, her gaze an obvious struggle between the emotionless veil she often showed the world and the emotions that were fighting tooth and nail to be acknowledged. She might have remained as she was, locked in her mental war, had he not reached out and gripped her hips, his tug pulling her against him as he gripped her ass and lifted from the floor. As his hands locked around her she instinctively wrapped her legs around him, hugging his body to her as her arms followed suit and slid around his neck. The faint look of uncertainty would reveal she was not used to being even this forward, but she couldn’t seem to keep herself from trying to get close to him.

”Above all else...come back to me. That’s an order.”

Their foreheads met, his words causing the faintest hitch in her breathing before she sighed, her voice a whisper as she spoke. ”Yes, Antonio, I will. I promise.” It was the first time she had used his name without something like “Lord” or “Master” preceding it. She would no doubt worry about her breach in etiquette later but for now she could only focus on his lips as they inched closer to her own until he was kissing her. She wouldn’t have pulled away even if she wanted too and as their lips met she knew she didn’t want too.

It wasn’t the overwhelming carnal kiss she had experienced with Akuma, the kind intended solely for getting someone horny and ready to fuck. The gentle nature of the kiss surprised her at first but she quickly surrendered to it, her body relaxing completely into him as she followed his lead and allowed the kiss to convey all the emotion she had had no means of expressing. It had been only a few weeks but she had been more comfortable and content, dare she even say happy, over the last few weeks then she could ever remember being, and she knew it was because of him.

How long they remained as they were she couldn’t have told you. Her awareness of her surroundings had faded almost completely as they kissed and when he finally pulled away and lowered her to her feet she barely registered that he was speaking, sending her on her way and wishing her well as it were. Before she could reply, reassure him she would be fine and would return soon, he was speaking again and this time she actually smiled. She knew without a doubt he would keep his word and they would find Lethanos and, former mentor or not, he would help her destroy him. Just as his gaze revealed his hidden feelings, her own eyes were a kaleidescope of emotions as she stepped back and gripped the amulet in her right hand, her left hand raising to touch her lips gently as though still caught in his kiss. ”One day. I’ll return in one day. I promise.”

With a thought the amulet activated and her promise was no sooner made then her body was beginning to fade, the transportation spell drawing her out of her dimension and time to the dimension and time of Aleris. In her wake a golden outline of her figure lingered, the image of her emotion filled gaze the last to fade until nothing remained save the faint scent of vanilla and peaches from the perfumed oil he had bought her. No sooner had she faded from sight then the door behind him opened, the feminine voice of the cait sidhe he knew intimately calling out behind him, her tone filled with excitement at the prospect of seeing him again.

”Nio? I’m back!”

Life passed so god damn quickly outside the university. A month ago he had no idea that there was someone walking around that he had a large part in creating. Now, not only did he know about her, but she was his submissive and they were living together. If not for his tireless ambition, it would've been too much to handle in the short time that'd passed. Fortunately he was an incredibly driven man. If there was something out there that was rumored to be impossible, rest assured that he would be the first man to step forward and try his hand at it. Unlike most though, it wasn't glory he was looking for. Fame, fortune, they were trivial, and in time they too disappeared. All that mattered was what a person achieved with the time they were given. Skin turns to dust, wealth gets spent, fame falls short of the next 'big' thing. But success in doing the impossible--that can never be taken away, not even by time. The situation with Rain was another chance for him to succeed where others had failed. She trusted him--he wouldn't fail her.

No sooner had the kiss been broken, she was taking a step back and promising to return in a days time. He wouldn't argue with her for the simple fact that if she could accomplish all things needed in 24 hours, than he wanted her back in that time. The less risk to her, the less time she was kept from him, the better. When she made her promise, he smiled toward her and nodded his head softly just before she vanished from sight.

"All right, Miadona. I'm going to hold you to that."

With that final sentence she was gone. A sigh escaped him as he reached into his coat pocket and fished out a cigarette. Screwing it between his lips then lighting it with the tip of his finger and a soft spoken incantation, he took a deep drag. Smoke drifted from the corner of his mouth only to raise above his head. For a few moments he stared at the cloud, letting his thoughts move on to what he'd promised her. Lethanos.

The last time he saw the man was 2 days after Rain's completion. At the time he didn't think anything of his teacher's sudden need to head off. After all, the man was a highly recognized force in the battle magic community. No doubt he was often being summoned for the odd mission, or struggle. So when Lethanos told him he had to leave for a while, he just accepted it. Little did he know that the man was running from consequence. The penalty for creating "true life" was exile, or worse--death. Magic was a beautiful, and powerful thing, it is seductive. The mage had to forever remember that no matter how powerful they became, they 'were not' Gods. Only a God could create a true life. To break that code was the cardinal sin of their practice. Lethanos knew that, and so he fled--the coward.

Dabbing the ashes into the tray sitting on his dresser, he moved to his dresser. There were no clothes inside, only magical wares. Items, books, herbs, potions, and artifacts he'd acquired during his life. Any one of them could be used to track a fellow magic user, all he needed was a 'push' in the right direction. No doubt Lethanos would be using a ward of some kind, as well as barrier spells so that he could better keep off the 'grid'. It would take some time and effort, but he knew that it in a day's time--he would know where his former teacher was hiding.

He respected the man's skill, as well as his dedication. But no one had the right to play creator. It wasn't fair to Rain; she hadn't asked to exist. It also wasn't fair to the child who's soul had to be used to bring consciousness and identity to what would've been just another golem. Despite how intrigued he was with her, and how quickly a bond of affection and compassion seemed to be formed--he never let himself forget that life was an uphill struggle for her. She wasn't meant to exist. No matter what happened in the time to come, he would make sure that everyone got what was coming to them. Even if some of the penalties for her creation fell upon himself, he would endure. She was worth that--and more.

While he looked through his various items, the door opened behind him. The magical signature was easy to identify, thus he knew who came in before her voice even broke the silence. Slowly, a grin came over his lips as he took another drag off his cigarette. Throwing a glance over his shoulder toward her, the grin turned into a smile as he turned to face her fully. With smoke blowing from his nose he walked toward her, raising his free hand to touch against her cheek.

"Hey kitten. Listen, have a seat. There's a few things I've got to tell you. Let me just start by saying--a lot can happen in a couple weeks--"

This should be interesting...

For the first time ever she was reluctant to go on an assignment. Never before had she had any qualms or reluctance in regards to an assignment but now...now she didn’t really want to leave. Not because she feared the task at hand, it was actually relatively simple in comparison to some of her other missions, but this time she had a reason to want to stay where she was. That reason, it went without saying, was Antonio. The look in his eyes as the spell had flared to life and transported her from the room lingered in her minds eye as she appeared on a deserted street in the middle of the night in the world of Aleris.

Instantly she was struck by the similarities to the Eternal Empire. For a moment she wondered if the transportation spell had worked. Was she in Aleris or just down town Eternelle Lune? After a moment to acclimate herself to her surroundings it was easy to discern the differences in the two worlds, but the resemblance was still startling. This was encouraging. It would allow the denizens of the Eternal Empire to feel comfortable should they choose to follow the Princess and Prince into his world to visit or settle. There were distinct differences though, such as the lack of technology. Granted the Empire appeared to be completely without technology on the surface, the Empress insisting that things remain Old World in appearance, and you would almost believe that you were wandering around the 1800’s until a car rumbled down the street only to disappear into a hidden parking garage that looked like a farm house, or even the opening of a cave.

Pulling the hood of the sweater forward she shrouded her distinctive features in shadow and began to meander down the street as though she was just your average person out for a stroll. The reality was more like she was casing the joint, committing each street, building, business, she came across to memory. The few people still wandering the streets were examined to get a feel for the people and atmosphere of the world. You can tell a lot about the social and economical state of a place by examining the every day people. It was through the milling crowds that she learned of King Alerion and the palace where he held court. If she was going to find anything out, it would be there and using the snippets of conversation she had overheard she made her way through the maze of streets until she stood before the palace.

She had gathered that anyone was welcome within the main hall where the public held court, but even so, the guards would still not see the little assassin approach. She meant no harm, yet, so any magical wards that had been placed about the palace would disregard her. Concentrating on being invisible she passed through the gates unnoticed. Whether she was truly invisible was up for debate, but with enough focus she could manipulate the space around her to cause people to see what she wanted them too, or even nothing at all. Nearing the wide doors she slipped through and moved silently down the hall that would admit her into the great hall. She kept to the shadows, the edges of the room and of peoples awareness, and she would have been able to make her way undetected save for one small flaw.

Alidia was there. As far as she knew the demoness could not see through her illusions, but lust demons sensed people on a far different level and she knew the moment Alidia caught notice of her presence. It took her a moment to place the sensation but she saw it the moment awareness hit the succubus and for the first time ever she mentally cursed her relationship with Akuma. Doing her best to keep out of her more mundane notice she surveyed the hall and departed quickly. Now she could report back to Ameerah just who had disturbed the portal near the Empire holding in Mystra Amor.

This assignment would take even less time then she had anticipated. There seemed to be little obvious conflict and the world seemed to prosper. She knew how quickly that could change and no doubt the Princess would do her best to help change it. Remembering the second part of her assignment she spent the next several hours scouring every inch of the small island that Aleris occupied. Every establishment, building, available plot of land, was inspected, each detail put to memory so she could report to the Princess on the options for a holding in this land. That task alone took the bulk of the evening and in the process she learned more and more about the culture and people who inhabited this place. Hope they had disaster insurance, Hurricane Meerah was about to descend on their peaceful little world.

She had promised 24 hours and half of that, if not more, had been taken already. Unsure of the way time moved in comparison to the Empire she wasted no time in returning. For all she knew she had spent three quarters of the day in Aleris and a week had passed in the Empire. Hopefully not, she would never willfully break her word to Antonio. Her task complete she gripped the teleportation medallion and with a thought she felt the familiar tug in her stomach as the world faded from around her only to reform in the image of Ameerah’s office. She had thought herself to wherever Ameerah was so she could make her report and go home. Glancing at the nearby clock she sighed seeing she was still within her 24 hour limit. Once Ameerah realized she was in the room she began to speak. There were no embellishments or sentimental musings about this world. She offered facts and descriptions in such minute detail you would expect that she was reading from a script. Ameerah would stop her every so often to ask a question, or delve for an additional detail, and this caused her recounting to take even longer so that she spent a good two or three hours with the princess outlinining the world, their structure, their leaders, and most especially the pieces of land and holdings that might interest the Eternal Empire. Eventually she was finished and per Antonio’s request her payment was placed in her hand before she left. She was glad it was done. She wanted to go home.

Quick like a bunny hop hop hop. Yea that was not her at least not lately. Silvery blond hair spiked up at her forehead around the twin pony tails that bobbed at the back of her head as she walked into the palace and went straight back for her cousin's office. Maybe she had a deathwish but not many bugged with the cryomancer. A garou like so many of the other family members, she was unusual and what's more she missed her cousin and missed the work assisting her in her little errands.

A knock was given but not waiting for an answer she walked in although knowing Ameerah she knew that the cousin was about yet again. Tossing a spikey blond whif of hair away from her face she smiled brightly to her cousin. "The funnnnnnnnnnn has arrived. " Even she had to wrinkle her nose at that one. It was a very lame opening line even for her. But never the less it was meant as a way to show she was there.

"Lame greetings aside, I hope you're doing well, cousin. Or should I call you Princess or Sultan now adays? " There was no disrespect in her tones no joking nature that had always been her way in situations. The time apart had made Sylvana grow up and now she looked at things from an adult view. Frank had made sure that she'd not regressed, not gone and become the next Robere. And she would bet her panties that he had kept her cousin updated on everything that goes on and had gone on with her until she'd left New Orleans.

Rocking back and forth upon her spiked heels that hugged to her legs like her leather pants did that laced up the sides showing bits of her toned legs when she moved. Black and ice blue the corset that hugged and shoved her chest up a bit drew taunt when she dropped to one knee and tilted her head and pulled her hair aside not that she needed to with the oddball style. It was effective and a popular style in New Orleans. Considering she'd taken on running a behind the shadows opium den there to give her cousin outlets there as well. She'd had to change a litlte bit. Although as sooon as she rose she shook her head and the mess came tumbling down to fall to her ass.

"Have I mentioned I missed you a bit?"
