"Six, you'll need to step back a bit. I need room to do this."

I was only half telling the truth. I would need room, but I just wasn't comfortable having an angry, naked demon looming that close to me while I was on the floor. Go figure.

Discord's voice had not been expected but was hardly surprising. The woman's appearance there, at the Tavern specifically, along with Zalika's request to see her had clued her in to the possibility that the two women were connected though she hadn't known Discord had another child. Then again she didn't exactly keep track of the kids Discord squeezed out, either. With a soft sigh she opened the door and stepped into the room to find Discord seated in the corner, her head in her hands as if dreading the upcoming conversation. That officially made two of them.

Discord rose to offer a formal greeting and out of habit her head inclined in formal response before finding a desk across the room from Discord and heading for it. Leaning back against it she perched on the edge, her legs stretching in front of her and crossing at the ankles. Almost as soon as she was settled Discord launched into her diatribe about why she had done all that she had done and her amber yellow eyes rolled slightly in reaction.

”Great, fine, you're all about your kids. I get it. Discord, th'fuck have you done?”

This had to be working it's way up to something good for all of this hullabaloo. Shaking her head slightly as her words fell between them she upended the bottle of beer and emptied it before dropping it into the waste basket next to the desk. She wasn't a slob, for fuck's sake. Just about then they both felt the approach of Aidan and Zalika only...that wasn't all. Discord's wards were gone, Zalika's personal shielding spell hiding what she was had been removed, and though the alpha was not sure that one had anything to do with the other she could also sense the approach of another of ~her~ wolves. It was the odd sensation she'd felt before but had nearly forgotten about in the midst of all the shit happening lately.

The duo entered the room, Aidan greeting her formally as was typical of the angel before backing out to fetch the things Discord had requested. She wasn't even hearing Discord's voice anymore, her senses had zeroed in on Zalika the second she stepped through the door. Amber yellow eyes sharpened, following the girl with a predatory gaze as she moved past her to perch on the edge of the bed, her cheerful voice thanking her for coming for a visit. Instinctively she smiled at Zalika, as if urged to reassure her for some reason, before her intent stare swung slowly to fix on Discord.

”Start talking Discord. Now.”

A hand lifted to her head and a sigh ebbed from her lips. "Simply put, I screwed up." She rubbed her temples a little bit as she knew the other woman was as volitle as she was in quite a few aspects but this was for Zalika's sake.

"I met a man not long after Morlis died and had a one night stand. I am what I am. I didn't know at the time, he was one of yours. I was with Aidan at the same time for a long time, I thought Zalika was Aidan's, but her dreams told me I was wrong."

She shifted rather uncomfortably in her chair and rubbed her temples. "From the moment I knew I was pregnant I decided to isolate from most of the others and hid her away to keep her safe, something told me she was special. So I raised her on stories of you once I knew what she was. I should have gone to you then, but I wanted to keep her with me longer."

"When the DeSade pack started being killed off and the protectorate did what we could to help fend off this. I'd felt I was right and justified in my decision. I was wrong and for that I'm sorry, to her and to you. I by my mindset deprived you and her. I'm sorry for this, Princess."

Perhaps she was signing her own death warrent, "I have fought long and hard to teach her all I could, I've killed to protect her and defend her. I can't teach her what she needs to learn, and she's breaking my wards all on her own."

"You can't punish her father, he was killed, I accept I might be punished for not talking sooner. Again, I apologize." She lifted her hand and slashed her palm. "I'm sorry darling. You wanted to know and I told you. You are one of hers." She rose and caressed her bleeding hand along Zalika's right wrist. The exact same place as the black tattoo about her own wrist. That was her binding. With that, the final ward she'd implanted would fade. So would the tattoo'd marking upon her own wrist.

Ameerah had sensed pack, that had been Zalika's own powers breaking through despite her own good intentions.

She remained standing her eyes upon that of Ameerah and Zalika both. Aidan stood in the doorway and then walked besides Zalika and crossed his arms.

Blood pounded in her ears, her amber eyes darkening to an unholy blood-orange, her eyes remaining fixed on Discord as she began to explain. With the other woman's first words she had straightened from the desk, her posture tensing, clearly poised and ready to spring into action. Discord spoke of a one night stand with one of her wolves and she knew without being told who the man in question was. A member of the pack from New Orleans he had returned to Eternelle Lune with her when she'd taken over the pack by defeating the existing alpha. Once in Eternelle Lune he had disappeared into the ranks of the Protectorate only to be killed later.

Zalika was his daughter. Zalika was one of her wolves, a member of ~her~ pack. And Discord had willfully kept knowledge of Zalika's existence from her even going so far as to employing magics to hide her. She said nothing when Discord's words came to an end, she only watched as Discord removed the final binding of magic that would keep Zalika's true nature revealed. She may have remained silent but that didn't mean there was no reaction to what she'd been told. The nails tipping her fingers had grown, becoming claws, her canines elongated, and her entire demeanor had taken on that of a feral animal being cornered.

Attack...draw blood...kill... Instinct was a bitch and right about then her's was urging her to take uot what she now perceived as a threat to her pack, the more chaotic, malevolent, impulses she fought daily rushing in to support the wolf's urges. It wasn't until she looked from Discord to Zalika that she snapped, however, the proof of Discord's deceit right before her eyes, and moving too quickly for anyone to react or have a prayer of stopping her she advanced on Discord. Fingers closed around Discord's neck and in the next instant the wall shook with the force used to slam Discord into it, the grip on her neck forcing the demoness onto her tip toes lest she be strangled outright.

”One reason, Discord. Give me one fucking reason why I shouldn’t fucking kill you?”

Her voice was little more than a growl when she issued her demand but it wasn't Discord that ultimately stayed her hand, that kept her from closing her fingers on Discord's throat and sucking every drop of soul energy the woman had to offer. She wasn't just a wolf, she was also an alpha, and it was that which caused her to turn her head away from Discord, to look over her shoulder at the younger woman perched on the edge of the bed. The one who had known nothing more than her mother her entire existence, the girl who now had to learn how to be a wolf with an alpha she'd met only a few times. And her grip slowly relaxed until she dropped Discord to the floor and stepped back, her hands clenching at her sides to keep them from around her throat.

”Get out of Drybrush. I would prefer you out of Heruin entirely but I won't interfere with Valorius' soldiers. Get your ass to the Protectorate camp and stay there. I do not want to lay eyes on you again, do you understand me? You have your daughter, and the fact that your actions likely did save her life, to thank for your own.”

She would never agree that Discord's actions had been justified but hiding Zalika had likely kept her safe from the entity that still hunted her and those who were bound to her. She herself had tried severing her own ties to the pack for the sake of protecting them. Had that been Discord's only motivation she might have been more understanding of it all, maybe, but this was the selfish type of manipulative actions that Discord had no doubt learned at Morlis' knee. She'd always hated that fucker.

Turning her back on Discord she looked to Zalika and slowly approached her. She knew where Zalika was coming from having endured nearly identical circumstances at the exact same age as the younger girl. This situation was not of Zalika's making and in one fell swoop it had taken away everything she'd ever known to offer her an entirely new life...if she wanted it. See..that was the thing. Zalika didn't have to stay a wolf if she did not want to. After several long moments for the sake of calming herself she finally spoke, doing her best to sound as gentle as she could manage.

”You have a choice, Zalika. Most wolves can not do this but....I'm not normal,” she stated, or understated rather. “I can't make you an angel because I'm not one, that kinda thing you'd need my parents for. But I can take the wolf from you because it..it's a part of me, linked to me. All my loup garou are. That alone brings with it certain...dangers. If you choose to stay as you are you will need to learn how to be what you are, how to use the power that comes with it. It means you will need to join your pack.” And leave her mother behind, were the words left unspoken.

”You don't have to decide now but you do need to decide soon. You have a lot to learn. As long as you are ignorant of what you are, and the risks that come with it, you're in danger.”

Turning she made her way to the door, her hand lowering to touch to the doorknob as if preparing to leave. Pausing she looked back to Zalika, refusing to lay eyes upon Discord again lest she lose the tattered shreds of her control that she had managed to gather together. It was tenuous at best.

”Once you have decided get word to me. I live on the island off the coast of Drybrush. Aidan, you will escort her to me when she is ready.”

It was not a request though her tone was neutral when speaking to the angel, this debacle was clearly not his fault. Aidan bowed in acknowledgment of her orders and meeting his eyes she silently conveyed her wish that he keep Zalika safe until her decision was reached.

”If I'm nearby you'll sense it, unless I don't want you to. When you are ready Zalika...

Wrenching the door open she stepped through and slammed it behind her in an attempt to keep her anger from boiling over. Her appearance did not go unnoticed in the bar as she demanded a bottle of bourbon and several rougher types got up and left, remembering her penchant for picking fights when in a foul mood. Valorius had still not arrived and she didn't bother reaching out to him to urge him to hurry. He had his own shit to deal with and he would find out soon enough.

Mother had told her the night she'd appeared with Aidan. Discord always had been rather long winded, what she didn't understand was the truth of things entirely, mother had tried to protect them both she supposed as she listened on. At times blanching, at time scowling at Discord. However she understood the woman, it was the compassion she'd been taught and her own gentle nature. Still she watched on and listened to understand the pair of women.

Ameerah's response, her actions, her apperance alone had drew her attention mostly. The way her eyes darkened, nails ellongated and she almost seemed to want to snarl several times. She'd risen to lay a calming hand on her only to find her legs wouldn't support her and she returned to sitting.

She was afraid, Ameerah was very angry and it rolled off her in silent waves crashing on the shores of those around her. It wasn't her fault honestly, she sympathized with her in that. She'd not been too happy herself either. Aidan had been bloody furious when he'd found out and had taken Mother for a walk that had resulted in them both limping back in with several cuts and bruises.

Still she remained silent, until the other woman had zerged forward, silent and deadly and gripped her mother by the throat. Discord's 5'1 frame was nothing from the other woman's so she watched her dangle and made a sound of protest and upset clouded her eyes to where she almost started crying. Ameerah had looked back at her and then released her mother slowly. Discord in the end slipped to the floor and remained there knelt with her head down, blood red covering her frame. Oddly she remained silent even as Ameerah dropped her sentence.

Still her, she wasn't mad but upset for the two women. It was apparent as text on a paper how the two felt. Her gaze shifted off her mother and returned to Ameerah studying her.

The woman gave her a choice and her gold ringed silver eyes showed a great deal of maturity as the woman spoke, as well as what else she felt. "Can I get to know you a little better once things have calmed down. To learn about you and well what I am so I can make a a.. better knowledgeable choice instead of going of assumptions and well assumptions." She shot a pointed glance towards her mother.

Yes she knew as far as the other woman was concerned, Discord wasn't there least it was to do more to her. So it was best otherwise to say no words to bring her beyond that small bit of focus.

She also didn't like the words, in danger. What danger was there? She'd always had the wards, she had the feathered sword her mother and aidan had worked together to forge.

The woman turned to leave and looked at her one more time. She was sure she really wasn't happy about this mess, were as she, zalika was at a total loss and despite the chaos, she was rather calm about it trying desperately to try to not let emotions, words said and unsaid get to her.

Ameerah spoke to Aidan, the angel had done just that and moved between the girl and Discord. It was just his nature.

She listened to the woman and nodded her head, "Yes, Ma'am." She said softly as the door Slammed with a resounding bang.

Discord rose and said nothing other then gather her weapons other then the feather. That was Zalika's, she didn't disobey direct orders. Yes she knew she was in deep shit, and that this was far from over. For now she accepted and once her things were gathered up, she walked to stand before zalika.

"You can make your own choices, you are not weak like your sisters with their agendas. You have convictions, dreams and aspirations, but you have more learning to do and only she can teach you. No matter what you choose, you'll always be my baby, the last ever. And I promise to always be there for you, love you and will dance in the fire again if you ever need me. I do have to do as told. Aidan will bring you to see me and talk, for now I do have to do as told."

She gathered her daughter to her and held her close brushing her hair. "I'm sorry." She mumbled and a tear fell on Zalika's hair and as simple as a wish, a dream perhaps even that imaginary friend playing with her, Discord had simply vanished.

"Time heals all, Zalika. When it comes to your mother, she had too many bad influences. There is no excuse for her actions and choices. You'll see her again. For now, we'll go off your decisions. I will remain with you."

"Aidan?"

"Yes, miss?"

"Thank you for the feather, you were always one of my favorite stories."

A snicker etched his mouth. "Don't believe all the stories. There are three sides to ever story, Hers, His and the truth which lays somewhere in the middle."

"Why is she like that?"

"What your mother? Simple, she wrote the book on being a bitch."

"That's one book I'd like to never read."

A laugh left the angel.

"Neither would I."

Zalika wanted time. Needed time to figure out what she wanted. Time was not always a luxury Ameerah had been given but she would give Zalika what time she could. Maybe she needed to take a minute to get her own head straight, come to think of it. She'd nearly killed the girls mother in front of her and while she would have felt justified in the action it likely would not have gotten Zalika off to a good start with her pack.

Down in the bar she'd demanded a bottle of bourbon and, almost as if an afterthought, she turned back to the bar and asked the bartender to find her at least two pieces of paper, parchment, whatever, and a pen. Or quill. Or whatever the fuck they used in this backwater realm. Normally the lack of technological advancement in Aleris didn't bother her. While she was used to having such technology she was also quite used to living without it, as well. But today it seemed everything was going to get on her damn nerves. She had no sooner plunked herself into the chair at the back corner table she'd come to prefer than the little waitress was rushing over to give her the items she'd requested. Tossing a gold coin at the girl to make up for her bad temper she looked at the parchment and tried to think about what she was going to say. Beyond “fuck you”, of course.

She managed to kill half the bottle of bourbon while she gathered her thoughts until finally she picked up the quill and began to write. The first letter was to Zalika.

”Zalika,

I know how fucked up this all is for you. I've been through it. You asked for time to decide. I'll give you that time but so long as you have the wolf inside you you must learn how to live with, and control, it. I'll give you a day or two to collect yourself but you must start to learn how to connect with what you are. It is the only way you, or those around you, will be safe.

Aidan will stay with you until you have reached a decision then he will return to his duties with the Protectorate. He is not all you have, though. There is another member of your pack staying in this Inn. His name is Seterios and he will be there for you if you need anything, even if it is just to get word to me.

You are one of mine now so arrangements have been made with the Inn to see to the cost of your room and board here in the Inn. Once you are more comfortable with everything we will discuss more permanent lodgings elsewhere.

I will be around and, like I said earlier, you will sense it unless I wish you not to. Though it may not seem like it I will be keeping tabs on you and your safety. Your pack, such as it is, will be there for you.

Ameerah.

She had no way of knowing that Seterios and Zalika had already met a few months before. It didn't matter, as far as she was concerned. They were pack. Family. If Zalika needed the support of her pack it was up to she and Seterios to give it as they were the only pack members left in the area for now. With those thoughts in her mind she folded up the letter to Zalika and started on the second letter, this one to Seterios.

”Rios,

Hopefully your ass is still staying at the hotel and not off wandering around somewhere again. We'll get you settled in permanent lodgings soon. We have something bigger to worry about right now, though.

There is a girl staying in the Caravanserai Inn named Zalika. She's pack, a cousin. Her father was one of the New Orleans wolves who returned with me to the Eternelle Lune after I claimed the pack for my own. Why we didn't know about her is a long fucking story but bottom line is, she's pack and she needs us. I've given her your information and have let her know you will be there if she needs anything. She is staying in room 102. Introduce yourself when you get a chance and let me know if either of you need anything.

I've made arrangements with the Inn; your room and any food or drink you need will be covered until we figure out where to stash you permanently.

I'll be in touch,
Ameerah”

The second letter was folded up and another long drink of the bourbon was downed before the bottle was again set back to the table. Each letter was folded in thirds and she pressed her palm first to one letter's seam and then the other. At her touch her palm heated, glowing a dark red, and as she took her hand away it would be to reveal an energy seal left behind on the paper, the design of a wolf howling before a full moon outlined in glowing red.

Pushing back from the table she made her way out of the Tavern and across the courtyard to the Inn portion of the Caravanserai where she made arrangements with the desk clerk on duty to have the letters delivered to Zalika and Seterios respectively. Once that was taken care of she then made sure that the rooms that both Zalika and Seterios were staying in had been taken care of, financially. A surplus was left on credit should they need anything and in one fell swoop ensured they would both be treated like royalty while they were there. It was the least she could do, she thought, as she headed out of the Caravanserai.

She had other business to tend to on Heruin, a visit to Sarheed was still necessary to complete her assessment of the needs of Heruin. There was nothing more she could do there, for the moment. Tempers and emotions were running high; Zalika had a lot to think about and she still needed to work through her temper. Maybe she'd get lucky and Sarheed would have demons, too.

Oddly Zalika was taking it in strides, the situation but that didn't deter her, she was not happy her mother was gone but at the same time , she viewed this as a unique opportunity. She had other family beyond that of her mother. Something that she bet Mother really was not happy about, she didn't like to share much these days.

And though she read the letter that arrived from Princess Ameerah, yup that's how she saw her still, the princess from mother's stories. She read it over time and time again and tried to decide. Aidan was hovering and made sure that no one came into her room when the drunks tried.

Nothing however would stop her from what she did next. She heard about a cousin that was near by and she charged across the inn to where he was and with an impromptu kick she lept over to where he probably undoubtedly slept. "SET SET SET! Wake the fuck up!" She screetched at him to get him up, she was up to something of course.

"I think we should shadow Ameerah and I wanna get to know her better so I can figure what's what!" She nodded and as impromptu as she'd shown up she was right back out that door with Aidan shaking his head at the girl but still he apologized softly to Setrios before following Zalika back into her room.

"Shadowing Ameerah might not be a good idea Lika."

"Pffft, sure it is. I can see what she's like out of the inn, get to know her and learn more. What better way to learn then to experiance right?"

She threw her meager possessions back into the carpet bag and with aidan in toe, started for the place to find the Princess. With the wards gone, it hopefully wouldn't be that hard if not well she had a angel aura's guardian that would set off the wolftress pincess that the twerp was on the move and up to something.

The night he arrived in the tavern had been a night where he thought he would just collapse from sheer exhaustion, and he almost had. Luckily he'd been seated quick enough by Valorius and 'Meerah. Between happening upon his Alpha, her husband, and even Zalika, he thought he was in the midst of a -really good- mirage. He looked rough, unshaven, his clothes a wretched mess from the sand storms he'd endured in crossing the desert just to get here. From the ocean to Drybrush he had walked, crossing Heruin. Rather than use magic, since he was vastly unfamiliar with the world still. He was in pitiful shape, but he had survived both wars, crossed oceans, and now a desert.

For a temple-born Satyr/Hybrid, who had enjoyed some traveling back home, this whole ordeal of fighting in and surviving in a war had really hit him hard. He had made it through two wars, and while he was sure there would be plenty more fights in his future, seeing the effects of the wars on the people had struck home. Every aspect of people's lives were affected and the death toll was hardly believable. While part of him wished it was all a really long nightmare, he knew it wasn't. Folks had to pick up and move on with their lives, and now that he was in Drybrush, he had to do the same.

He'd been given some sorta drink which helped him relax, but he'd then had...several bottles of other various liquors. Admittedly, the brews could be better, but he just had to get used to them. Maybe he could import some from home, like he'd intended to do before those plans got thrown into the 'fail' pile.

How he got to his room, which happened to be on the same hall as Zalika's, he wasn't sure. Somehow he managed to strip down and flop on the bed bare-ass naked too. He didn't remember that part, nor falling asleep. Could it have been days he lay there face down on that bed? Even he wasn't sure how much time had passed. Between an acute hangover, coughing fits which left him feeling like he was going to cough up a lung, and the extreme exhaustion mingled with the dehydration and the agonizing cramps which ripped through his muscles, he was in dire need of recuperating. His body had finally shut down and forced him to seek rest, so whether anyone or even himself liked it, he was resting. More like dead to the world due to being in the darkest abyss of all; unconscious.

Someone had been coming and leaving him meals, but other than that, no one had entered his room besides the maid who brought those meals. Maybe a healer had been brought in as well if he'd been discovered, which was likely, because the maid might've told a healer friend of hers. The meals hadn't been touched, so had always been taken away to prevent danger of spoiling. Even his wolf was tired enough to sleep and not bug him with its usual trouble-making. Thank the gods, he knew little of!

He had stayed in bed for almost four days.

It just so happened he'd been half asleep that fifth morning when a particular feisty Angelic girl had burst into his room and all but obliterated his door. And before he could rouse himself enough to see who was bursting in his door, he had a girl throwing herself at him! Naturally his arms came up while she was screeching, beseeching him to wake up and his eyes widened once they flew open, cause not only was she screaming at him to wake up, she had her knee in his lower ribs and it had driven the breath from him. Gasping for a breath, he rolled half way over to his side, facing her. Red hair..and those eyes.

He raised up, half way and blurted out, groggily. "Gahh....what the hell did I do...I didn't do nothing, I swear! Frigging hell, girl, I ain't buggered no one lately!" Naturally he thought he'd pissed off some girls papa and he was here to whoop his ass when he'd caught Aidan out of the corner of his eye. Or maybe he'd pissed off some girl and she was intending to bloody his nose or worse.

Before he could think a clear thought, he realized that he was quite naked and only his lower torso was covered up, just barely. Good thing, she probably didn't wanna see his ass or man-bits no ways. Her boisterous good mood made him grin. "Alright, alright...I'm up." Rubbing his eyes, he yawned and raked his fingers through his chestnut hair, which was still horribly tangled. A quick sniff of himself made him grimace. He needed a bath, -badly-. But she seemed to be in a rush to go somewhere and be up to something, so he hurried to wash up once he found the basin and pitcher. The water was blessedly cool and he doused his hair in it and scrubbed his face, figuring he'd have to shave later.

He grabbed a towel and dried his mussed up hair and then raked it into some semblance of order and then turned to scour the room. Clothes, he needed clothes...he couldn't go racing after his cousin in the nude. Well....he -could-, but he might scare her off. He found the pouch of coins 'Meerah had left him and he found some clothes that had been left for him on the trunk at the foot of the bed. They were clean, brand new, and well made. Grabbing the clothes, he took a few moments to dress himself and even found a pair of new boots which seemed suited for desert life.

It felt pretty damned good to have some clean clothes and boots, but some other things would have to be acquired in time. Spotting his pack, he eyed the dusty thing and went over to brush it off, feeling only a little bad the cleaning ladies would have to be sweeping up a pile of sand. He dumped everything out on the bed and rummaged through it, salvaging the locked box where the rest of his money was and tossed out the old ruined clothes; he wouldn't need them anymore.

What few precious things he had managed to save from back in Grand City were in that pack and he wasn't leaving it lying around, so he dropped the locked wooden box inside and took a few moments to send it to a dimensional space he alone had access too. No one knew it was really a Never-ending Satchel, as he called it, and whatever treasures he possessed, great or small, he kept them there. It could hold quite a lot and so with it safe, he double-checked the room and then snatched up his key and looped the chain around his neck. Stepping out into the hall, he propped his broken door closed as best he could and then smoothed out the new clothes, shifting a bit to settle into them.

He eyed the door and frowned slightly. He supposed it was a good thing he knew magic, though mostly he summoned things from places most might never go or might ever see otherwise. Or he used his Charm magic. Once the door was positioned, he stepped back and then extended his right hand out. Channeling the power required, he cast a 'Make Whole' spell and watched as the door repaired itself. Unsure what their reactions might be, he hoped neither was spooked by magic, and it wasn't something he told everyone about usually.

With the door soon repaired, he looked to Aidan and then Lika, head tilting curiously. "You want to shadow 'Meerah? Why do you want to shadow my Alpha?" he asked peering at the two of them, as of yet unaware his cousin was right before him. Aidan seemed to be trying to convince her otherwise. He then remembered something and pulled out the letter he had tucked into his pocket. Turning partially away, he just stared at it. It had been a long while since he had received a letter of any sort, and he felt a pang of agony within himself. He hadn't written back home in a while, but he didn't have so much as a quill to his name anymore.

Slowly, he opened it up and unfolded it, hoping there was no horrible news within it. After reading through it, he re-read it again and then folded it back up and tucked it away. Thoughts blurred through his sleep-fogged mind and flashes of memory rifled through too in flickering images of the red-head before him. Every time he'd seen her, he had had no idea she was family, yet something had always nagged at him, though he couldn't place it. Every time he'd thought of her, it hadn't been as family, but simply as he would any other girl he found himself attracted too.

Now here he was with proof she was a cousin, -family- and she needed him. Oh yeah, Aidan was still there, he hadn't forgot that, but he was suddenly hit with a tidal wave of mixed emotions. He had not only found his pack, his family, but fate was a bitch. The pretty girl he'd met some months ago and who had been uninterested in him was family! 'Meerah had no clue they had met and he found that amusing, cause she was usually well informed.

A grin broke into laughter as he leaned back against the wall, fairly sure they would be confused why he was laughing.

After a couple minutes, he cleared his throat. Well, wasn't this -aaawwwwkkkkwwwaaarrdddd-!

"Don't worry about it, I thought she was about to give me a shiner, to be honest. Or was bringing you to whoop my ass. Seems instead that for -once- I have known something before my Alpha has." Seeing that they might be confused or curious, he leaned off the wall and straightened to his full height. "She doesn't realize that I've met Zalika before, only I didn't know at the time, or the other times thereafter, that she was family."

How this news had affected his cousin, he wasn't entirely sure, but as for how it hit him, it was like a blow to the gut and yet, some of the best news he's had in a while. He still had the feather and it was safe in the pocket of dimensional space.

"Seems I have a cousin." he whispered.

Sure set had found thing's funny. Even she found them funny oddly enough. Having grown up isolated with just her mother, and her aunt along with their lovers, she'd been sheltered from all of it. Hell even the lust stuff had been kept out of her eyes and knowledge. So when she'd been hit on in the past, she'd been oblivious. Wasn't that a bitch?

So when the man calmed she shifted her hair had shifted to a soft black shade, all red had faded from it except in the light. Her delicate little features were rather set and determined though. "I'm not budging Aidan, I want to know what sort of person Ameerah is before I make any decisions. She gave me that choice and I'm going to take it." The woman had turned then and walked from both. She'd been fine the last few months on her own other then her dreams. She'd continue to do so if the men kept a head up their ass.

As she went downstairs she found someone reading a paper and though she rarely read them she did pause her huff to read over his shoulder as she ordered a cup of tea to plan what she was going to be doing. what she red however put her in a right foul mood. Her eyes marrowed, her temper flared. Silver eyes flared, grew dark like a cloudy london foggy night. It wasn't a good thing when her temper actually showed.

The lure of an angry woman with her breasts heaving within the confines of her dress, her eyes dark and lips pulled back to where they were thin almost pale white slits. who the fuck was this Reid person. How dare they write such utter lies and bullshit knowing nothing about her , her mother. And from what she read about Ameerah, well she now doubted the woman. Thanks alot asshole. She growled and unawarely her nails grew longer.

Aidan picked up in a shift and gave a shout and ran downstairs. "Zalika, calm down. Calm down right this minute.." He saw the look, the pure anger on the teenager's face. He's seen that killing look on Discord's face a few too many times. "Now is not the time and place for this, get it together. I know she did a good job on you or she wouldn't have risked everything." Aidan did defend discord , even when he was pissed off at her.

"Calm, zalika. Calm down now before you cause damage and prove the male right." He too was reading what had sent the girl into a rage. He wasn't amused either. The princess was painted as a murderer, the demon sorceress painted as a whore, and zalika a worthless bit of fluff caught in the middle. It was bullshit, every word printed. "Write to him and request a retraction, use your brain not your anger.' He kept trying to sooth the girl.

"I think, I need to go for a walk." Finally through bloodless lips the girl murmured. Her nails raked the bare a few times leaving deep wood gouges. The angel nodded, he needed to get her away from people, she was dangerous in her current mind set until she calmed down. If she had even a drop of discord in her, he knew this. "Seterios, I think the shadowing ameerah project is on hold. She needs to run and walk this off or something bad will happen."

He said quietly to the other male that came down by now. It was apparant they were dealing with a very pissed off halfbreed. And though being half angel he could easily keep the pace. It would allow seterios a chance to tell the girl about well.. the pack. He'd stay with of course, after all. He took his job seriously.
