A gigantic sea monster has been sighted in the ocean south west of Hinewai Harbor. It is not known what the beast was doing, but its deafening roar was heard from each continent. Though the monster did not attack as far as anyone could sea, cities across Aleris are tightening their defenses. No one knows where the sea creature came from but those who were able to see it by whatever means, say it may be related to the god-killing terrors, the Val`nothe.

For now, the creature has disappeared back beneath the water, but a close eye is being kept on the water for beasts and the illness that is being spread across the land. No one knows if these two are related, but it is certainly a possibility at this point.
