celebrating six years of adventures

Our Voices

"Many years ago, the ancient line of Kings who ruled the land of Aleris were both immortal and ageless. There was no definite reason as to why the royal blood of Aleris developed this characteristic of eternal youth. However, it was not without great sacrifice that the Kings obtained their immortality..."

Quite the events have happened during my absence (which we won't discuss my catnapping) and I am simply thrilled to be back to report the latest gossip to you all. In my stead, I was happy to see that one of our writers, Rahne, filled in and continued delivering all that was news worthy. Just when you thought you might get a break at hearing you, your friends and your loved one's names in the paper.

Anyway... enough babbling. Onto the juicy stuff you've all been waiting for.

Word comes from Arthuran that Lady Amelia has flown her frozen, wasteland coop. Verial Akilara is none too pleased and residents that did see him after her departure, said he was unapproachable, as if he might murder at any moment. Understandable when he does have dragon's blood in him. Some say Lady Amelia was frightened off when transformed as a dragon, the Lord of Arthuran attempted to drown her in the always frigid waters near Chaliceton. Others say that she has a wee little bun in the oven which may or may not be Verial's. Who knows? That's love for you, I suppose.

Also on Arthuran, Elysia's Temple has not seen its fair share of visitors lately. Some speculate that after all the recent battles and wars, none are too keen on entering the House of Winter and Death, as if they might be cursed on the spot. Except for the not-so-secretive stranger the temple priestesses received and welcomed into their temple with open arms. None know how she got there, only that she arrived basically wearing nothing but a giant robe and no undergarments beneath it. Hope this lady didn't freeze her tatas off. Nipples, after all, can be a very valuable thing.

Moving to the opposite side of the world, the Padishah's manor burst into flames from an unexplained explosion. No one knows the cause, but with neither Ameerah Amunette nor Valorius Malku found at the scene, one can only assume. It's been running through the grapevine that Valorius has been seen lately with a statuesque woman with long, shapely legs and an ample amount of chest area. My suspicion is that sharing is not in the Padishah's nature and in a hell storm of raging jealousy, Ameerah started the fire herself. My advice to the Bel Telal would be to pick one set of booty and stick with it. I'm sure the residents of Heruin are not anxious to see their beloved continent in flames, despite how naturally hot it is there.

And next we have Bariston. Word has it that Layla Victoire is still trying to fill the gaping hole in her heart that was left by the healer Sahar when she packed her bags and hauled ass out to Arthuran. The lonely leader of Bariston has been able to fill the nook in her heart with not one, but two people named Brina and Alexien Kincade. Brina, especially, has taken to helping the wounded and sick of Bariston. She's even gone so far as to improve Bariston's state in the medical world by assisting in opening a brand new hospital. Which is great and admirable, except Layla forgot to mention that Brina would be taking part in rectal exams. That's right. Several people have seen Brina reaching into a man's sphincter and pulling out a knife, which frankly, the thought of makes me especially cringe. I wonder how Alexien feels about his lovely wife reaching into a drunken man's assets. Ah well, I guess it's part of the job these days.

Let's swing on over to Eiler for the latest in going-ons there.

Certain people living in Grand City's castle say they spotted Madrin Kir talking to Aurora's Paladin, Wish Star. It's been common knowledge now that the two were smooching on the battlefield while people were dying in Heruin. No comment about that. What we can comment about though is that apparently Madrin was pretty forceful in getting Wish to go away with him to his bedroom where who can only imagine what went on behind closed doors. From the encounter, we also know that Madrin's adopted daughter, who is growing up fast I might add, is staying in the same room as him. Mr. Commander, if you're going to bring home women to mess up your bed sheets with, I highly suggest that you get your daughter a new room as quickly as possible. The little girl is going to grow up fast and she needs a womanly figure in her life, not one that you're taking back to your room and having "pillow fights" with.

Last but not least, rumor is that a parchment flyer was posted all around Hinewai Harbor asking for several sailors and merchants to accompany a Captain Lawrence Cross and the ship The Jade Phoenix on an expedition to Lapis Cove. Barely explored and touched by pirates and vagabonds alike, the journey to Lapis Cove promises great wealth and reward upon return to Grand City's harbor. However, Lawrence Cross is not available for comment and won't specify the purpose of the mission. There's talk among the sailors that it's linked to the six recent deaths in the ocean lately. In any case, if you're looking for some extra income and want to be among the brave few who go on this expedition, I say head to the harbor and sign up. What have you got to lose?
