As she worked lately something was off so she'd opened portals and set a chain of mirrors throught the island. It wasn't hard with her ability to vanish and come and go with just a thought. Mirrors that reflected what had been going on about her. Something was wrong. She'd felt it for a while, a change was coming.
A mirror had fractured outside of drybrush one day and her head had whipped around damn near as a trainee got in a lucky kick from her distraction. She went sprawling and came back up fighting. Her left side of her face now a red beacon of her distraction and his left leg would be held in an unhuman hold as she unleashed her own actual physical strength. His scream of pain as she'd swept his leg and lept on him and jerked his legs back at an inhuman angle showed her anger.
"A reward for catching an opponent while their distracted. A penalty for not expecting the opponent to respond with violence to an attack. Expect the unexpected. Anything less and you will die, am I understood? Perin, this is the only warning I give. Don't make me repeat it." She murmured softly and released him.
Did she always stay at the camp, not bloody likely. She vanished on whim when she wasn't on shift setting up her demonic mirrors that reflected to her things going on. She prefered her own way over the spies that filtered in and for a few coins would inform them of things going on. A ring of people trying to bring in drugs other then Princess's. They never got off the dock before the protectorate swept in, arrested them all and their boat sunk.
Drybrush wasn't a place she was supposed to be but sometimes work brought her there, she checked on her daughter and always left. Careful to mask her presence for Zalika's sake, she didn't care work was work. Otherwise she'd have come in and didn't care who came on her track.
On one of those occasions, sure she'd read the rumor paper and shook her head. A few of the lesser protectorate dared to ask about it and she looked at them and requested a training to see how they were coming. What they dealt with was not even slightly portrayed in the article. A woman that was always in control, one way or another. And the Medic wasn't happy with her that day either.
"Don't always believe what is said and done, papers are there to get news out, spread drama and get money. Anything more is hapenstance."
It was a night in december that she'd felt another mirror break and this one had set her almost in a panic. She was on assignment on a small island off the continent when it broke. An image flittered in her mind, it always did when something passed a mirror that wasn't right. Zalika had fled. Something was wrong, the image she saw was as if someone in modern day had captured in still shot. A girl running as if hell was on her tail, her apperance damn near feral and in her hand was those damn papers. This one calling out her , and painting ameerah bad. Perhaps she ought to visit the lil drama starter after all and filet him like a fish.
Her eyes flared and she activated the charm she buried in Zalika's bracelet to track her. "Damn it." She snarled she couldn't concentrate as they entered a building that had a very demonic presence on it. They were harvesting humans to bare half breeds here. It had been purely accident they'd come across it. Normally it wouldn't have even come up on radar the problem was , one of the protectorate had gone missing, a woman that had almost the time she had in the protectorate.
"Find Morgan, any woman that is captured, free them but don't let them leave the island. The wardens and keepers here, bring them to me." She walked in and pulled the hell bound demonic sword. Blood red hair flared about her and black ribbons laced up her arms and hands. They glowed with some unusual essence.
She walked into the building and started the round up. As they got in, they were ambushed by some of the harvested halfbreed children. "Don't kill them, cage them. They are children, children have a chance to overcome. The adults, aren't so fortunate." She'd fix them later but more so she'd make sure that hell knew damn well what was going on that some rogue demons were up to and the influx of half breed demons was rising on the aleris land.
