Here at The Chronicle, we have received word that Elved's two northeastern cities, Shimmer Town and Garis Town, have been attacked. Both attacks have been executed quickly by an unknown force that left the scene before anyone could notice. Shimmer Town was left decimated with no survivors, buildings burned and dead bodies littering its streets. Garis Town was also ravaged in the same manner. Though its houses and buildings were not burned down, the town's prized watermills that have marked the town for years were destroyed in the assault.
Though the culprits of these terrible crimes have not been found, it's been said this is the work of therianthropes and possibly mages. Numerous dead bodies appeared to have limbs ripped off as well as their skin shredded and sliced in various places, obviously by claw marks. Other bodies were charred, burned at an exceptionally fast rate at what experts believe is not the cause of normal fire. There were also several male bodies found nude and completely or almost decapitated.
The murderers of these acts are trying to be found as soon as possible. The speculation at this time is that the army that attacked these cities is marching south towards Bariston. The Elved capital, home of Layla Victoire, is not taking any chances and is preparing for an assault.
