Seventy-five years ago in the realm of Nirdor a place that consist of one supercontinent divided into twenty-five territories by nomadic tribes. The chieftain Angeasor Kir was the most powerful of the tribal leaders. He had the greatest standing army of them all but he had no desire for conquest. He only wanted his people to have the safety to continue their lives in peace. Angeasor knew the only way to deter the other tribes from raiding his people was to present a threat strong enough to make them reconsider. His tribe saw their fair share of warfare however because, many chieftain's sought glory and more land. Angeasor was known as the black wolf on the battlefield. This was because his banner had a black wolf's head on a earth brown background. He had dark brown hair shoulder length gathered in a ponytail and eyes the same color as the background of his banner.

Angeasor's policies changed however when he gained an advisor known only as Gerthluo. He had black hair short cut and eyes a disturbing ice blue that seemed to absorb light. The man claimed to be from the southern wasteland and slowly gained control of Angeasor's other advisors until he was the primary. Gerthluo gave Angeasor's tribe new ways to manage crops and advanced construction techniques. He quickly won over the people with his silver tongue. However, two years into Gerthluo's time as head adviser people started disappearing at an alarming rate without any sign of a struggle. Angeasor came to Gerthluo for his help in finding the lost people. Gerthluo agreed to his request and led him into the tower that had been constructed for the adviser's use. Angeasor was shocked to find his people mutilated in terrible ways. The bloodstains were everywhere like some kind of morbid mural to death. Angeasor immediately turned to challenge the twisted mage long sword drawn with a single motion.

"It's your turn now chieftain to serve me as I had always intended." Gertluo's laughter echoed off the walls as Angeasor fell under his dark power.

In twenty years all of Nirdor had fallen under the evil mages influence and his enslaved army of humans along with the bestial Galuwrath. The most feared were the remorseless commanders of the horde led by the black wolf himself. They refused any attempt at bribery or negotiation beyond total surrender. There were still pockets of resistance all over the realm but, they were often found and crushed quickly. The next phase of Gerthluo's plan was to find the most suited breeding pairs among the humans for the next generation of killers. In all this time the twisted mage had not aged a day.

The people suspected that he had found a way to extend his lifespan indefinitely. Many believed he was completely immune to harm of any kind. Gerthluo enjoyed the peoples active imaginations as they spread rumor of his immortality. In reality he had learned how to remain ageless thru various pacts with the abyss. The attempted assassinations however, were stopped by his bodyguards. He made sure the bodies disappeared without a trace to further add to his legend. He could die but, few believed it thinking he was some kind of foul demon. Three years later Ranisa Kir was born as a product of selective breeding by Gerthluo.
------

Fifteen years later Ranisa Kir was appointed head of Gertluo's personal guard and commander of his evil horde. Her auburn hair is chin length and her eyes are a startling gray that often shocks others into silence if they ever meet them. She quickly gained a reputation as the red wolf because of her great beauty, and the blood that always covered her seconds after she began fighting. Her father had been slain by her hand as she took his place in the command structure. This was how the commanders were chosen with a duel to the death for position. None of Gerthluo's leaders could even come close to defeating Angeasor Kir despite his age. The dark mage found it to be fitting that Angeasor's own daughter was his undoing. Watching her kill her father in cold blood was so thrilling that he felt she must be the mother of his heir.

With his total control Gerthluo had no need to chase her because, she was already his. Ranisa warmed his bed every night for eight years. She had crushed nearly every rebellious group in Nirdor about nine months prior to the birth of Madrin Kir. The physical and mental pain of childbirth was so great that Gerthluo's twenty-three years of dominion over Ranisa's life had stopped for a few hours at least. Gerthluo was completely unaware of her free will as he divined the child's magical potential. When he declared Madrin was of no use as an heir he ordered his guards to slit the boy's throat. Madrin was placed on an altar in Gerthluo's private chamber for the ritual. Then Ranisa rushed the guards with her rage in full control and crushed both of their windpipes with a sickening crunch. Next she rushed the evil mage with such blinding speed that he had no time to react and ripped his throat out. Then covered in the blood of her master she left that sinister tower as it crumbled around her, with a child less than a hour old clutched to her body.

Ranisa quickly rounded up all of the prisoners in the dark tower after smashing in the skull of their jailer with a convenient piece of stone twice the size of her hand. She had lived in this tower her entire life. As Gerthluo's most trusted slave she had been shown his secret escape passage. It was in his torture chamber that was on the same floor as the prison for easy access. She led two hundred of her former enemies thru the winding tunnel as the fortress was torn down by dark magic. Ranisa came to a exit she had never seen before, the tunnel should have continued on for several more hours. She had no time to think as the tunnel began to collapse as well. Some of her followers began to hesitate and shake in fear as they looked at the ominous break in reality.

"Onward my people we have no time to debate this strange portal into the breach now!," they complied as her commanding voice focused them on the task ahead. They stepped out into a snow covered valley between several mountains. Several skilled builders in the new tribe noticed how ideal this place was to create a village, it was right next to a river and several edible flora grew nearby. Ranisa's tribe came from a mountainous region of Nirdor so they were all dressed well for this climate though it was a lot warmer here. She began organizing hunters and gatherers to get food for her people. They would need to create some simple weapons for hunting made of bone until they could find another source if there was any. Ranisa knew it would take years of work but, they would build a life here far from that terrible realm beyond the now closed portal.

"Welcome Madrin my son to your new home," she smiled at her son as she watched her new tribe.
