That life in Aleris is booming! With the influx of new Alerian citizens from the five Outer Gates life has certainly become more interesting and it is my sacred duty to keep you, my readers, in the know.

It's no surprise that some of the best entertainment of late has come from the recent arrivals. Most notably a rather mysterious lady who showed up and upon arriving at the Royal Palace immediately went to the rooms of none other then our own Grand Duke, Roland Everness. A new lover perhaps? A mistress? The mother of an illegitimate child the Duke has been keeping hidden for the last few years? Her reasons for appearing in Aleris are as yet unknown, as well as her interest in the Duke, but I have since discovered her name and let me tell you, I doubt this particular succubus will allow anyone here to forget it.

Alidia Ryland has caused quite a stir since her appearance in Aleris. Not only did she make a beeline for the Grand Duke but she has been witnessed in all manner of comprimising and deliciously scandalous situations since then.

First she announces a bastard sister to the world, who she obviously knew nothing about until they happened to run into one another here at the Royal Palace, then she is seen cavorting on the beach with an unknown man and a nun. If you can figure out the nun angle, let me know and you'll be featured as a source in my next article.

As if that wasn't enough to get our tongues a-waggin', she has also been seen in very public altercations with none other then the Lord of the Redmont brood, ruling family of Navidium and also a recent immigrant to Aleris. To make matters worse for Miss Ryland, Maxim Redmont is the favorite of our own Goddess Calypso, which will no doubt work against her in her power struggle with the Redmont warrior. And just what are they fighting about? Oh you will love this.

His illegitimate child.

Whether or not she has provided a love child for Duke Roland Everness remains to be seen but she has definitely provided one for the Redmont ruler, though I would hardly call it a love match. My sources tell me he had no knowledge of the daughter until recently and he, as well as his legitimate child, are less then happy with the news and with Miss Ryland for keeping such a secret and it seems, with the very existence of the girl in the first place.

Acting as devil's advocate, I can certainly see why Miss Ryland would hide her daughters existence, as well as her very identity, seeing as how Maxim has repeatedly threatened her life over all of this, but I can also appreciate where he is coming from. It's not every day you discover you have a child with a woman you considered nothing more then an unfortunate mistake. Is the Redmont lord still married? If so, how does Mrs. Redmont feel about all this? His legitimate daughter seemed rather upset with her sisters appearance and only time will tell if they can manage to become one big happy, extended, family or if this will all blow up amidst body parts and blood spatter.

In the meantime, Miss Ryland has taken up residence in one of the guests suites in the Palace so it seems she is here to say, at least for a while.

Rumor also has it that a contingent from the Eternal Empire has arrived to help begin prepartions for a rather large gated community to house the Eternal Embassy and the citizens who choose to make their presence known in Aleris as well. This in and of itself is not overly interesting but some of the rumors coming out of Camp Eternal have been rather interesting. Talks of drug rings and pit fighting have begun circulating and one notable pit fighter has been seen wandering the streets of Aleris though whether it is business or pleasure that keeps him here remains to be seen.

There have also been sightings of a lovely purple haired girl cavorting around the Alerian City and my sources tell me she is an Aensland from the Outer Gate of Makai. She seems to be living it up without her Makai Comrades but careful boys, she's collared and no doubt her Master will be making an appearance to put a stop to her partying and if not, I'm sure there are plenty of Alerian males who would be willing to keep her company at night. Perhaps they already are.

Now, I am not saying that any of this is 100%, absolute fact but...
