Dravvin's history starts when his mother and father fell in love. Kinda generic huh? Well the story doesn't end there so chill (no pun intended). His mother was an air elemental and his father a water. They were forbidden to fall in love. But how can one forbid love? So, in the stylings of those more famous like Romeo and Juliette they eloped.
Soon after they were blessed with a baby, a boy that they named Dravvin. They loved him dearly. He was their pride and joy. What they didn't know was that the entire time they were gone their parents had people looking for them. The person that found them happened to be the one man that may have loved Dravvin's mother as much as his father had. He saw the abomination that they had brought into the world and knew that it couldn't be allowed to live.
So, the elemental known as Kilowog, devised a plan. One what would bring Dravvin's mother running into his arms and kill father and son. However, the best laid plans of mice and men are but dust in the wind to the gods' will. In his attempt to kill the boy Dravvin's mother stopped him, taking the killing blow herself. When his father heard the noise he went and found his dead wife's corpse laying on the ground next to an empty basket. Before he could scream Kilowog ended his life.
Unable to kill the boy, the last tie he had to his beloved, Kilowog raised him not as a son, but as a brother. For years they traveled together, trained together, the boy never knowing his true history.
Until one day the truth was revealed. Dravvin had settled down. By this time he had had two children of his own and adopted one other. He'd been married several times, but had finally found his life mate in Emily Lament. She took his name and became Emily Kirk. They'd lived happily for four years until Dravvin became ill. They thought nothing of it until he started coughing up blood. He went to many a healer and holy man all to no avail. Until finally he went to see the Ancient One, who told him that he'd been cursed and the only way to survive would be to find the eye of agamotto. He of course had to do this alone. So, he left his wife promising to return, and set out to find his cure. Along the way he had to do a great deal of things he never thought he'd have to do, but he did them, not just for him but for his children and wife. The Ancient One had told him that if he didn't then they'd soon die after he did.
It was after he recovered the artifact that he found out Kilowog's true nature. In a dramatic monologue, worthy of a supervillian, Kilowog explained that he hadn't been his brother, but the one who had killed his parents. He had cursed Dravvin in hopes that he would bring to him the eye. In a battle that made star wars episodes 1, 2, and 3, look like a high school performance, Dravvin killed Kilowog.
