So what exactly are F Grade or E grade items?

Also, could a crafter make 'membership cards' where if a pc buys a certain one that would offer a discount off that crafter's inventory?

Think of the grading system as the level of weapon/armor you are able to make, starting with "F" as the lowest and "A" as the highest. I actually just went in and revised the crafting rules to make it a little bit easier to understand, as far as grades go.

http://www.aleris-rpg.org/classes.php

-Levels 1 - 10 can create items of +1 Damage, Soak, or Hit Point. (Grade F Item)
-Levels 11 - 20 have the chance to create items from +1 to +2 Damage, Soak, or Hit Points. (Grade E Item)
-Levels 21 - 30 have the chance to create items from +1 to +3 Damage, Soak, or Hit Points. (Grade D Item)
-Levels 31 - 40 have the chance to create items from +1 to +4 Damage, Soak, or Hit Points. (Grade C Item)
-Levels 41 - 49 have the chance to create items from +1 to +5 Damage, Soak, or Hit Points. (Grade B Item)
-Level 50 can create items from +1 to +5 Damage, Soak, or Hit Points at will. (Grade A Item)

This is something relatively new that we're working on, so we'll probably have to iron out some kinks pretty soon. You'll just want to keep in mind that as a crafter you can either be a Blacksmith (think swords, chainmail, etc) or a Sagecraft (think staffs, tomes, leather armor, etc). This can be decided when you open your shop (just specify somewhere at the top what your character specializes in). You can open your shop right away as long as you have registered as a crafter and it would be posted in the Aleris Bazar.

I'm now leaving my character logged in the chat room for anyone who attempts to make a new weapon/armor. If it's during the day on a weekday, I will probably be at work and not be able to witness the creation of an item.

I think the rest of the rules are pretty much summed up on the Class page, but don't hesitate if you have any more questions.

What if you wanted to create enchanted weapons? Like a Sword with the Element of Fire, or a Hammer with the Element of Earth? Which Type would create Whips? Can you switch from one type to another between Class Rank Upgrades?

The types of weapons (A-F) really aren't the description of the weapon (For example: Sword, Whip, Long Bow). "Types" are so that you can determine how much extra DMG, SOAK, or HP Regeneration your item has. Feel free to make it infused with an element, but if you're only a level 3 don't expect to make a bada** weapon. You'll only be able to create a weapon that does +1 DMG despite the "element" infused with it.

It seems I could make Grade E items, is there a suggested price range?

Also, could you create items with +1 DMG and +1 Soak or HP, as opposed to +2 of one of those Stats.

It's all up to you and the buyers. If they're willing to pay it you can choose how much you want to charge. Just keep in mind that no one is going to buy it if it's too.

No.
