Unfortunately, given the size of The Chronicle, we cannot publish the names of every Alerian who died in battle or from the tidal wave tragedy. We only wish to give those who passed in these catastrophes our prayers. May all the souls find their way to Elysia and be safely cared for in the afterlife. Your life, love and dedications will not be unnoticed by the many people who surrounded you.
While no one life is less important than the other, we would like to send off our late King Alerion with heartfelt farewell. We shall all remember Alerion as a vigilant ruler, a just king who governed over majority of Aleris' cities and protected each one as he could. We will never forget Alerion's legacy, his sacrifices or the things he did to make Aleris grow. Long live the king, even in death.
Former manager of The Oak Barrel Tavern, Deanna DiCorvino, also perished in the line of fire during the battle. As a last minute resource, Deanna took charge of group of Alerian soldiers that lost their commander and organized them to help protect the city. She made a brave attempt to stop Terra Vale from reaching our king and died as a result. I can say that most of Aleris' citizens will undoubtedly miss the presence of Deanna DiCorvino in The Oak Barrel Tavern. More importantly, we will all miss the bravery and honor in Deanna's heart that went with her.
Last but not least, while some of you may disagree with me for writing this, I do want to say good-bye to Terra Vale, the cause of all his destruction in the realm. Though she ravaged the land and had a hand in killing thousands, I personally would like wish that her soul finds peace with death.
