Deciding that it would be in her best interest to keep up to date with the things going on around the land in which she found herself, having spent time in a different realm at night. Someone from her past had come back to pay her a visit -- it was a surprise to say the least, but at least it was a plesant one.
Scanning over the news, she read about her sister and her own treck to the Goddess. Jezika knew that it was only a matter of time before someone caught on. Sighing, she kept reading. "Wait, what?" She read over the last part. "I didn't kill my sister..." Furrowing her brows, Jezika chewed on the inside of her lip. She had no idea you had to tell a guard. After all, she hadn't been there long enough to see to all the rules. Running to the authorities when you're new and covered in blood that's not your own is never usually a good thing. It leads to questions and questions lead to accusations. Jezika didn't take well to accusations. "I haven't been here a week, and I'm already making the paper. I don't like that -- not one bit."
So much for keeping under the radar.
Shaking her head, she continued on and scanning The Grapevine, she stopped. Both in reading, and dead in her tracks. Nearly stumbling over, she read the words over and over again. "What the fuck? Jesus. Not only is he here.. how the hell did I cause it!? I didn't do shit.. What the hell is he telling people?" She said aloud, and people looked at her strangely. Looking up from the paper, she stared at the on-lookers. "What are you looking at? There's nothin' to see here.." She furrowed her brows and scrunched her nose up slightly. Shaking her head, her vermillion tresses fell back in place around her face. Jezika was none-to-pleased with her ex-husband at the moment. "Her not being around was of her own accord, he should remember that even before I left, she was nowhere to be seen. Quit blaming shit on me."
"And I did not have a wench in my lap.." Huffing with a murmur. "I did have some drinks, but that was it. I haven't even done anything wrong -- not like its anyones buisness on what I do. It's been over a year since the divorce.." A gruff snort and a shake of her head again, "Stupid fucking gossip columns." She had had enough of them back home. Continuing on, she rolled her eyes seeing that the fight between herself and Ryanne was also overseen. Jezika had forgotten that nothing was sacred. Everything and everyone one involved was fair game. "If they only knew.. Gods, I could write a book." Disgusted, she didn't even really finish reading the paper. "So help me Goddess, if I get my hands on Morlis.. I'll ring his neck." Said under her breath as she crumpled up the paper and threw it away. Maybe she needed to get in touch with the Editor and set the record straight.
