It hadn’t actually been long since Angel had come out of hiding and come to Aleris. She didn’t have a clue where anyone had gone since she’d left Mystra having sensed the ending of what she’d once called her home approaching. Not having bothered to even return there she finally found a ship that she hadn’t the slightest clue where it had been heading just that it was heading to a port, finally. Not many knew, but when she’d left Mystra she’d gone into hiding waiting to try to find her father and finally bring him something she’d owed him for a very long time, though impatient as she can be after nearly a year of waiting and no sign of him she finally made the decision to pack a few belongings and be on her way.
Finally some days later the ship came to port and a short trip later and she’d come to the Grand City. This was not the vampires’ idea of somewhere she’d wanted to spend too much time either. In the solitude that she’d kept waiting on her father the woman had become consumed with the death she’d be delivering him and being alone. There just seemed to be far too many people in this place for her liking. It didn’t take her long to seek out the location of some place that might offer her some comfort. A bit of charm, a shy smile, and she had some poor old man eating out of her hand and telling her the directions toward the nearest cemetery.
It was a quiet and slightly lonely trek, but it was beautiful. The closer the woman had come to the cemetery the more snow the land became covered with. The trees were weighed down with ice, and glistening in the slight bit of sunlight that actually seemed to grace this place. Coming to the gates of the cemetery she might have been able to hear even the smallest of creatures step through her path. Finally she moved to step through the gates but something seemed to stop her, gaze having turned toward the shore to the north. “Interesting” muttered Angel softly staring in that direction for what seemed an eternity.
Spinning on her heels she quickly abandoned the motion of going into the cemetery to wander amongst the head stones and long dead, and headed the direction her gaze was set. It was almost as if something had told her to stop and turn, though not a word had been spoken. With each step she drew closer to the coast, the salt in the air from the sea almost stifling she hated that smell it reminded her too much of the brother she felt like she’d lost. Shaking that off she continued to move toward the coast multi-hued gaze set off in all directions but in front of her so when she came to the rather large door of the temple she’d come upon it was a slight surprise.
Head tilted slightly, biting softly at her bottom lip she wasn’t quite sure if she would push through this door. It wasn’t to say she hadn’t spent her fair share of time in any sort of temple for she had, though it was more the fact that she wasn’t expecting to come face to door with one currently and she’d grown quite accustom to the icy temperatures of the terrain the thought of what warmth might be inside this temple didn’t really please her. Though it was if that voice again tugged at her, she reached forward her fingertips touching the door and she gasped slightly, it was icy cold as if there was little to no warmth from inside. The thought brought a slightly creepy grin to the face of the woman as she pushed the door open far enough to slip into the temple and pushed it shut again behind her.
She was deathly silent as she walked through the temple not even her steps making so much as a sound this place seemed to grow ever more strange. The attendants seemed to rush about speaking to one another softly, and not even noticing her presence it almost amused her. She so loved people that were like that, the ones that just seemed to be content to leave her to whatever it was she was seeking to get herself into. Though as she wandered the halls of the temple she finally came to the shrine, a soft gasp slipping away from her she was almost awestruck. That wasn’t the only thing that caught her attention, Dravvin stood at the shrine and beside him obviously stood the Goddess. She hadn’t expected to see anyone she’d known her let alone someone that she’d known as well as she had Dravvin.
She reached up pushing the hood of her cloak back and finally pushed toward the shrine. Still ever so quiet she didn’t wish to interrupt the conversation that was taking place but to offer the only real thing she had of any value in tribute. This was, of course, her loyalty and service to the Goddess.
