Dravvin was a father. He'd fathered four children, two with his last wife and two with his current. The problem was that while he was a father, he wasn't much of a dad. He hadn't been there for Lysander and Isa as they grew up, and unfortunately he'd been dead for most of the time that Cerri and Odin were growing up.

The Elemental had been able to be there for his eldest children when they really needed him. For that he was very happy. It appeared that he wasn't able to be there for his two youngest though. Cerri had run away and no one knew where she'd gone. And as for Odin, well, to say he was disappointed would have been an understatement.

If anyone said that he didn't love Odin as much as he did his other children Dravvin would rip their head off. Odin was his son, and he was very proud of him. The young man had just made some very poor choices lately. Elysia, the Ice Goddess had brought him back to be a "fatherly figure" for his wayward son. She'd told him exactly what had happened while he was gone and truth be told he still wasn't sure how he was going to deal with it.

When they had gotten home, (it was odd that he thought of the place as home already but it was where his family was, so it was home) he'd done what parents for countless of years had done. He sent Odin to his room. Being dead was draining. As Odin went to his room so did Dravvin, he needed some rest. Of course Emily had other plans in store. Twenty years was a long time to wait.

Laying in bed, feeling Emily drift off to sleep, Dravvin decided he needed to talk to the youngest Kirk. He quietly got out of bed and dressed. Making his way down the hall to Odin's room, he knocked on his door. "Odin, can I come in? I think we need to talk." He waited for a moment, but no reply came. Shaking his head the Elemental reached for the handle and opened the door. "I don't mean to be rude son, but we really need to..." looking around, Dravvin realized that his son wasn't there anymore. "Well, hell."

He'd been trying to stay out of the way ever since Dravvin returned. Odin had run off almost as soon as his father returned and honestly Lysander wasn't surprised. He was tempted to do the same. Then again, watching Dravvin pace back and forth every day was kind of fun. His anger radiated from him and while he knew that this wasn't the same man that had tortured him and his sister, it still made Lysander smile to see him frustrated.

Finally he couldn't stand it any longer. Dravvin was fuming in the family room and Ly couldn't keep his mouth shut. Walking into the room Lysander leaned against the wall close to his father. Shaking his head "The Iceman's" eldest son took his his dad. He looked older then he remembered him. The last few weeks had taken their toll on him.

"You know it's your fault he's gone. You come storming back in here like a god come back to life and start yelling and making demands. I bet you didn't even know that he'd been starting to take command of this family. Yeah, he messed up. Sure he made some really bad mistakes, but if I remember correctly you've made one or two in your lifetimes too."

Dravvin looked at him like he wasn't sure what to do at first. Looking him up and down almost as if seeing him for the first time, he hadn't actually talked to Lysander since he came back. It appeared that he was judging his clothes and that caused Lysander to look at his attire. He'd worn a similar outfit for years, a simple leather jacket unzipped on top with leather pants and boots below. Granted it wasn't as ornate as Dravvin's normal clothing, but it was his style not his father's. So if he had a problem with it, tough.

"So, I think the best thing you can do now is to let him do his thing. Let him make his mistakes or make up for them or whatever he's planning on doing. And while he's doing that, you get off your ass and fix whatever the hell is wrong with you. No offense, but there's something wrong with you dad. Something's not the same. I think you need help. I'm not the one to help you, gods know I'm fucked up enough."

Shrugging, Lysander pushed himself off the wall.

"But what the hell do I know? I'm just your son." with that and a small, cocky smile, he walked out of the room.

Maybe he made some impact, maybe not. At least now his conscience would leave him alone. Maybe he'd go out and get a drink.
