War and enslavement has successfully been avoided by the demon Gethe. As far as we at The Chronicle know, Gethe has been destroyed and is no longer a menace to our lands. The Lord Commander, Madrin Kir, has still not reported back to duty in the Grand City, and we are told he is still hovering in critical condition. Prayers to the gods that he recover quickly.
Spring has finally come to Aleris, and Aurora's Paladin has returned to Eiler after a harrowing ordeal in Heruin. Perhaps we can all enjoy warmer days and the blooming of nature with the prospect of peace in the lands for a while.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who lost their lives in both the Jade City of Eiler, and in Heruin. Your bravery and self-sacrifice will not be forgotten.
